I just receive the AT&T Galaxy S5, too bad it does not have Chinese as its system language (not the input language). I see that the AT&T version is the SM-G900A while, for example, I can download SM-G900F (which may have Chinese as the system language) from Sammobile.com. Question is, can I directly ODIN the SM-G900F firmware into this SM-G900A phone?
Thanks!

You should never Odin firmware that is not meant for your exact model. Sounds like you are just trying to add Chinese. Have you tried the Language Enabler app from Play?

Hi everyone.
I am new to this forum. Thank you in advance for being patient with me.
I bought my galaxy note in the Middle East specifically Dubai. I am now in the Philippines. My note is still not rooted.
If I update my note here in the Philippines using Kies will it be updated to the ASIAN firmware instead of the Middle Eastern/Arabic firmware? I am reluctant to do any updating because I don't know what I might lose.
no kies checks the Pcode of the phone and it updates/checks for it. on dial pad put *2767*4387264636# then you will see something like this N7000ZBADBT the 3 last letters are for the region and the carrier who was sold the NOTE. in this DBT means it is a German career free device. ZBA means a 16gb blue note and ZBE is the white note or the 32gb blue note don't remember which was it.

So can I update using kies in the Philippines even if my fw is Middle Eastern/Arabic or should I install/flash a ASIAN fw first before updating thru kies in the Philipines?

If you want the Arabic fw then just connect and update. If you want a Philippinen fw then you have to flash it with a original Samsung Philippinen fw and then connect to kies to update, if you haven't flashed the latest one for this region.

Have a look on the Sammobile site. Just search for your device and you will see a list of available firmware.
Flash with Odin. There is a great guide to doing this in the S3 mini general forum.

Thanks for the answer.
The problem is that if I put in SamMobile the CSC number, it offers me the same firm that I have already now.
I want to know if I can flash it with an stock samsung firmware, withouth any provider
My understanding is that if you search for your specific model (I1890 or I1890N or I1890L for instance) you will get a long list of firmwares you could use. Probably several of these will be for your country. Any one of these would be suitable for you to use.
I'm no expert though so perhaps someone could confirm this?

You would want this one:
GT-I8190N Galaxy S III Mini NFC
PDA: I8190NXXAMJ2
CSC: I8190NBTUAMJ1
MODEM: I8190NXXAMJ2
Added: 2013-11-13
It is the latest S3 Mini firmware for the NFC version.

This is nice ..... but I have SAMSUNG S4 ACTIVE I537 .... NO I9295
Hello All,
I have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (N920W8 Variant) running Android 5.1.1 from Rogers in Vancouver BC, but unlike other Samsung Phones I have bought in the past, German Language is not available. The selections are limited to English, French, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), and Korean. After rooting the phone and installing Language Enabler and force-setting the locale, only half of the menus and apps are in German. I am looking for a compatible ROM that I can flash onto my phone.
Can anyone with the same Note 5 Model / N920W8 model on a different provider i.e. Telus/Bell etc.. do a quick check to see whether German language is enabled on their firmware?
Does the Infinity Rom 6.0.1 have German Language option available?
Many Thanks!
For your version is marshmallow available flash with odin stock firmware..after this flash latest super su and twrp...for me Dr ketan rom is most stable...but you are able to flash any international rom with audio call fix for n920w8 ...look on t-mobile thread and there are all the things you need...i am on international rom on n920w8 for a long time...

I tried downloading and installing N920T_OH6_DrKetan_custom_ROM_L2.zip and flashed using TWRP and most features seems to be working except:
1) Finger Print Reader Error - tried restarting no avail.
2) WiFi-Calling Error ER05 - Invalid SIM (T-Mobile Customisation)
3) TMobile Logo on startup/shutdown - anyway to remove this?
Thanks
Figured it out, went with the I n f i n i t y F3 ROM based on Android v6.0.1 Instead & Posted detailed instructions there (Page 21) for any one else interested.

Is there an option that one region has AOD and other doesn't?
If there has, which region this?
Sorry about my poor English

I don't know if it depends on region, but you can just download some latest unbranded, non-carrier firmware (XEO, MEO, etc.) and that functionality should work.

Can you explain more? I just started with all that firmware.
Thanks
I don't know which Android version you currently have. You can download latest stock firmware for example here:
Download Samsung Galaxy A6 SM-A600F firmware
Download the latest Samsung firmware for Galaxy A6 with model code SM-A600F. Check out our free download or super fast premium options.
www.sammobile.com
Flash it then via Odin.

I have Android 10. I believe I'm using the latest version. But my phone doesn't have "Always On Display".
I saw In google that some regions has.
But what is it XEO or MEO that you mention? It could have AOD?

Just look at website I linked - that's Samsung country codes for firmware. So for example XEO is Polish "non-carrier" firmware, MEO is Portugese, PHN is Dutch, and so on. Try to flash one of them.
If you have unlocked bootloader then you can just flash some custom rom.
