I recently unlocked my sprint htc one and im trying to use it on tmobile, everything works, i even get 3g data but the big problem is that the network settings doesnt automatically choose the tmobile network and it disconnects way, way to often, when it disconnects i have to manually search for the network every time as it wont select it automatically. I think that whats needed is a Sprint gsm rom for it to work as it should or maybe a flashable patch. if anybody has the knowledge, i would appreciate it. big thanks!!!

The print htc one is a world phone, just like they make roms for the rezound from verizon, which is a world phone as well or the droid 3 global, they make botch cdma roms and gsm roms. So now we need a gsm compatible rom.

Don't flash any Rom unless it's sprint compatible. Intl/other carrier roms have different mount points and will make your phone reboot/drop service with only fix being RUUing

Absolutely not. That's your one-way ticket to RUU-hell land. It's not just differences in the kernel, but also in how the internal storage is partitioned. I'm pretty surprised that even with GSM/UMTS you're having trouble. Anyone know if the stock PRL for the Sprint ROM might be interfering (i.e. the phone is trying to search for one of Verizon's CDMA towers first)?
If anyone wants, just send me the updater-script from a GSM ROM, and I will change the mount points to be for Sprint. Like that you can flash the GSM rom. However, I would like to know if there is anyone brave enough (with S-Off) to flash the firmware bits of the GSM phones (radio, adsp, rpm, and maybe the sbl*; not the bootloader and recovery).
The radio.img is the most dangerous thing... But I think getting the GSM f/w on the GSM-unlocked Sprint phone will be a good thing. Unless, anyone knows that the radios are different? I know the mount points are different, but does anyone have any info on the firmware itself?
Anyway, just let me know if you wanna try to flash a GSM rom, I will update the mount points for you.

I was playing around with qpst and on service programming on the umts tab system there is an option "preceded network selection" and is set to limited, I try changing it but it won't let me write to phone, I think that's what sprint did to limit connection of gsm in USA
ill try it

I think I would try something safe cause up to this point I have tryed everything to keep my tmobile signal from disconnecting but so far no luck.
Simple and to the point.
Enables the use of stock hotspot function.
This is only working for ATT and StraightTalk - ATT Sim. If you have another carrier you will have to do the procedure yourself below.

i have a att sim, flashed it and still does the same as before flashing. says dial 611 or go to myatt.com to activate hotspot?
Not working for ST AT&T sim, wireless or tethered. 1.08 odexed.
I can't speak to JMZ's flash, but I can guarantee the manual method works (& worked for him, also). Give it a try.

So the Att version is broken

Don't know. Typing this now on my A500 using First hotspot with Straight Talk/ATT SIM.
Flashed the zip and it didn't work for StraightTalk. Not familiar with the installer but seems to be a script bug when checking for ATT / ST selection.
Manually copied the ST db and it didn't work, got the error "dial 611 or go to myatt.com to activate hotspot"
And it changed my ST APN settings.
I manually updated the db with SQLlite and got it to work with StraightTalk.
The ST db file in the zip uses the old APN setings, I was provisioned with the new settings.
See this thread for details on the ST APN settings.

No, nothing in build.prop. What ROM are you running? What SIM are you trying to use? I was using AT&T via ST, is your T-Mobile via ST?
If ST, was there a recent change in the APN settings? I have read that there were some updated AT&T ST APN settings, but they do not work as well as the old ones, at least in some markets. I tried them to see if there was an improvement and actually lost all data, so reverted.
Stock 1.08.
I'm outside the US at the moment, so my carrier couldn't be further from AT&T, T-Mobile or any of their MVNO's. But the APN settings are correct: tethering works with factory unlocked phones.

You need to be rooted and s-off for changes to stick in system files. Good luck.
Ran into a tethering issue after addition of a third, but not selected APN. Tethering showed connected but there was no Internet connection. I tried setting up the new ST settings to see if my SIM could access LTE. It could not. I then simply re-selected my original APN. All seemed to work OK, except the tethered wifi device could not see the internet. The additional setting changed the order in the telephony DB list. Went back to just the two APNs and all is again fine.
I cannot get telephony.db to stick on my friend's First for some reason. No hash match after reboot every time. Tried zip installer and ADB push, in TWRP and in OS. 1.08...1 S-off and rooted. Also tried deleting telephony.db-journal first like the installer script does. So strange because I've done it with my phone. Note that I had downgraded from 1.08...4 to do this.
Is JmzJBSenseMyst_v3 new? That's what im running. I tried this on MEDUSA as well with no go.
It basically messes the phone up completely un-useable since I'm on Straight talk att blue sim and on apn - tfdata.
So how do you get tethering on this phone with apn - tfdata for att straight talk blue sim for 4g lte... ?
I can't get MMS to work at all... it won't download says download error even after putting the mms proxy and port 80 etc..
THANKS

dial *#*#4636*#*# and check network setting is set to GSM/WCDMA/LTE AUTO
Are your speeds any slower? I think some carriers call different things 4G, so with a non carrier specific ROM, you get a different graphic.
I think there's a way of changing it in the build prop.

Be careful messing with radio's, that's one thing if you get wrong will kill your phone forever, you must have a 4G enabled phone (M7_UL) have a look for this in the bootloader and also a 4G enabled sim, your network provider will provide you with one if your paying for a 4G service.

Tried mine on their phones and theirs on mine. All sim cards run on 4g. What could be wrong with my m7?

custom rom could easily be the fault, unstable or corrupt lib or system files etc, go back to stock to be sure.
EDIT: pulled from post 1: All basic functions should be intact. But DO expect there to be bugs. This is an early build.

Lots of people in that thread cant get 4G working, open the thread from your original link and in the search this thread box just type 4G, you'll see all the problems, read a couple of pages myself, its a very buggy rom ATM.
If your looking for a 5.0 rom then you could try DU or AICP. Both last i knew had LTE working in them. CM12 is not gonna be the most stable at the moment.

Hi all.
I was running stock 5.1 before flashing Benzo or Euphoria Rom and everything is working great except I cannot get past 3G and H. I cannot access LTE. My APN settings are correct and I checked *#*#4636 and it says LTE /GSM. Do I need to flash a new radio and/or baseband also? And if yes, any idea which radio would be best to flash and where I can download it?
I tried flashing the stock 5.1 D radio but it didn't help.
I am on Rogers wireless in Canada LMY47D
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks and have a great weekend

Hi.
I am using the ltemobile.apn and it says LTE in preferred network type. All settings seem to be correct. And it works fine on stock rooted. But not when I flash a custom Rom. Any ideas?
Thanks
Got it working.
Flashed an LMY47D radio a second time after the ROM and gapps and it stuck.
LTE working
I am having this same problem! Except I hadn't even unlocked the bootloader or rooted the phone when it started!
My APN settings are correct.
I reset the phone several times.
I flashed LMY47I radio and tonight I am gonna flash D again.
I was on stock LMY47D but I became annoyed and flashed a cyanogen nightly.
