[Request][PORT] Win7 style recent apps

I was wondering if anyone was able to port this mod over to the Captivate.

I am not a dev at all so I wouldn't be able to help but i would love it if someone could do that.

What rom do you need it for?

I need it for WeUI 8.0c and i can't decompile the SystemUI.apk to complete it, I can do the framework-res.apk tho, maybe someone else will have more luck

Ya it will be quite different on a miui rom as there are 2 framework-res apps and the systemui is called MiuiSystemUI (My user interface system user interface?) so it probably will not work. Best thing to do it on wuld probobly be CM9

If you could get someone to confirm it working on any miui v4 rom (any phone) and provide the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk, I'd be happy to mod it for you.

All you would have to do is rename them to what they should be for a CM9 based ROM and do your stuff then rename them after you're done

I was able to decompile the SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk for slim ics, but i am not able to compile them, so i tried with 7zip but it never booted, what should i do
I used both apk manager, and apktool

you will need to make the changes in framework-res.apk, systemui.apk, settings.apk with the one in cm9

I have only one question. I'm using right now Rushabh25's SGSII ICS v9 rom, which has integrated 14-toggles-mod.
I've already tried to make some modifications in the zip package of modded stock roms (like SGSII v9, or StockLite v6 and v7.1), with success: I managed to implement UOT-mods, hungarian swype, beats music mods, and some apps into the flashable rom zip. I even managed to modify framework-res.apk and systemUI.apk, by decompile them with apktool and the edit some files.
I'm wondering now about, how to implement 14-toggles-mod, like Rushabh25 did it... Can you help me how to do that? I want to learn!

Need help by (de)compiling frameworkr-res.apk

i cant figure out how to decompile and compile framework-res.apk from free optimus project nightly 6
i tried many versions of apktool and apkmanager some of them works if i change the version for compiling and decompiling and i have one version which is extra for ics and this works without changing
but if i include a framework-res.apk in the rom.zip which is successfully decompiled and compiled (without errors) the phone gets into a bootloop.
can anybody teach me how to do this correctly?
i already have tried to sign the apk and repackaged the whole rom

Means you are missing a software.

if i'm missing any software apktool won't compile without errors or it won't finally start cause it checks all needed sources before starting.
which category do u think is right? q&a - this is not just a question, there's an simple answer 4. dev - i haven't developed anything and want to publish it - theming apps - nothing to do with this.. :cyclops:

[QUESTION] Making a theme for a JB rom

Hi
Could someone mentor me or link me to a few guides/programs on how to make a .zip flashable theme for a JellyBean custom rom?
I did search, however, I could not find a thread about creating a theme for JB. Most were for Themechooser or ICS or MIUI or various other ways.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I would imagine theming JB is the same as theming anything else, mod apks from whatever ROM you're using.
