Hi guys. Im really having a problem with my phone now. I can't update my phone or do a hard reset as I will be directly brought to the fastboot menu with a security warning on the top. When i go back to the hboot menu and try to do recovery or factory reset, the same thing happens.
I really want to know what is going on and how do I solve this problem..
SEARCH FUNCTION! We have hundreds of threads, guides and tuts about it. I say it again, SEARCH FUNCTION.

Don't be angry... If you entered recovery and got security warning, try to flash the recovery again.

Hey, thanks for the advice. but what recovery should I flash again ?
Try the Clockworkmod first. If it is bootable, flash a rom and install 4EXTrecovery via 4EXT Updater.

Did you lock the bootloader or something? Try mentioning the steps leading to your situation, rather than just the end result. We shouldn't have to be playing guessing games especially when you're coming to us asking for help.

Alright guys. Im so sorry. I've actually managed to unlock the bootloader again, and flashed CWM. As gingerbread 2.3.5 was just pushed out to my country several days ago. I've brought my phone to the HTC service centre today. and they are also unable to run the RUU update. So they took in my phone for servicing and they will update my phone when the repair is done. Thanks for your help guys.. still needs to be sent in though.. 4th time im sending this phone in already...
What's version of ROM? Root? S-off?
Need more details...

If you were as quick replying to your thread as you were in taking the phone to HTC we could have got you fixed up. You needed stock recovery flashed, I believe. Hope HTC don't charge you for this "repair".

Hey guys. I've read that, installing the same version of RUU will get everything back to stock, including the recovery, but im on version 2.30.707.1 , and the closest file available for download is 2.30.405.1 , So am I able to run 2.30.405.1 's RUU to get everything back to stock ?

That should work, but you may need to use a goldcard.

ok...random as this is...but if you really wish to go back...then here goes.
you require the htc drivers installed from htc sync.
the ruu you require is whatever u want...its advisable to reinstall the original from your area though...but your choice.
this wipes everything.....recovery, root everything....
ok have the ruu on your pc.
connect pc to phone
have phone in bootloader (possible fastboot usb)
phone may reboot itself into which ever mode it wants but its random as ive seen....i had it ready in bootloader and it worked
double click on ruu and follow instructions.
now it will or should install in around 10-15mins. if by chance you get installation error, follow the recovery part and redo the ruu again straight away....after a few attempts it will install.
what effect this will have on your updates to bootloader or hboot etc is unknown...as i haven't reverted to stock since unlocking bootloader...
Can i use this on the Salsa?? I think i got it from the galaxy nexus section..but will it work properly?

are you still rooted? i thought that root disables OTA, so you'd have to temporary unroot first too.. also do you use stock recovery? (just to be sure)
for OTA you need to be:
- On stock rom
- On stock recovery
- On original CID (or supercid)

no problem mate, i'd really like to help you
but right now i have no more idea, because i think everything is prepared the way it should be but still there's this error... the last thing you could try is to put the CID back to the original one (the one you had before supercid) and try again..
but it's confusing me because the first update worked and the second now is stuck...
i want custom rom
i want stock rom to 4.2.2 sense 5 flash it by RUU any help???

there is NO 4.2.2 RUU you have to flash a 4.1.2 RUU and then update to 4.2.2
i recommend to flash (ARHD 12.2) its the latest update and has tons of features,
Solutions:
Change everything to original CID, MID, boot and recovery..... no need to relock or anything else...you're S-OFF.
Do a wipe cache and davlink, reboot, and try to update
If it doesn't work..
Flash your RUU again (the one that match to your software and carrier), and ota update everything again... don't waste time trying anything else.. I would choose this one, so you garantee that nothing interfere and you have a stock phone.
is this going to work for me http://androidteen.com/htc-one-updat...cial-firmware/ ??? sorry im noob in flashing roms i know basics only...if you have the 4.1.2 ruu please provide me with instructions...thanks a lot....btw i make my CID back to normal but still have the problem
or should i use this one http://www.androidruu.com/getdownload.php?file=M7/PN07IMG_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.13_Radio_4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01_release_316789_signed.zip
it is my build is 1.29.401.16 and radio 4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01
is this link above Compatible with my version ??
Hi, I have searched and I have tried, reaching out...
Desire C Cricket HBOOT 1.63 Radio 0.92.00.0903 Unlocked Bootloader S-On
I was trying to put a recovery on and root after unlocking bootloader and for whatever reason I cannot get into any recovery other than stock. Once in stock I cannot flash anything. Only thing I could tell was previous owner had a customer kernel on it but now I cannot get past the HTC red writing screen.
Normally in this situation I would go back to stock via PL01DIA.zip update in bootloader but I cannot find a viable one for this specific device.
OK, somehow got a working CWM Recovery. But I cannot get any roms to boot past the HTC red writting screen. Does anyone out there have a full CWM backup of a working Cricket rom?

Thanks guys! Sorry for bugging around this forum. Anyone with CDMA ping me, I'm not finding any friends I need a clean back up of any Cricket rom from CWM since it looks like the RUU was never made.
Or, if anyone knows how to change the CID on this phone without S-off. Just looking to make it an MP3 player.

There's only 2 or 3 people with CDMA Desire C's none of them seem to be active here anyway, search for your RUU, maybe a stock Rom will work for you, i'm not sure..

Hello everyone. I'm attempting to assist @arindambag recover his device from a soft brick.
If anyone with a rooted Desire 628 (2PVG) could provide a dump of their hboot or hosd, it would be greatly appreciated.
The version doesn't matter. It is only needed to generate a key file for the RUU extraction tool.

It seems that some people were able to root with Kingroot on the originally released rom, but, as far as I know, there's no way to root yet after updating.
With no custom recovery (yet), root will not be possible unless another vulnerability is discovered.

Then is there any process to go back to the original rom? I mean revert this update? If we flash the original stock rom before update? Then we will be able to root it with KingRoot

If you can s-off, you should be able to use any RUU for your phone or change regions with a CID change, but I'm not that familiar with the HTC mediatek devices, though.

None so far. I really need an hboot for your model. Or images, or anything really...
It is really difficult to support without the phone or images.

Since Tathyajit has the same model and also in working condition, can we extract the hboot or system image file from his phone and check? Just a thought. In that case, we need to guide Tathyajit how to do that, if required.
Without root permission,is it possible to extract hboot and system image file.
@Tathyajit: Please share your getvar info so that we can know the model and version of your phone.

If you can find a way to get root on your device, I'll be able to provide instructions to extract what I need to decrypt the RUUs for all Desire 628s. Unfortunately, without root and no custom recovery available at this point, the only way to fix @arindambag's phone is via a RUU that is not available (yet).
Need help please, could able to install the RUU for version 1.17.400.1 and the phone also started successfully, but suddenly the phone went off and now it's not starting. I tried all combinations of Volume Up, Down, Power, etc. but could not able to start. Once the charger is connected, pressing the Power button shows the Battery icon once and then again the phone goes off. Pressing combinations of hard buttons, I could able to listen in my PC that connecting/disconnecting sound is coming but nothing getting displayed in the screen.
At one point of time, the HTC logo screen did come but the phone again going to the black screen.
Any suggestions would really help me.
Check this if you could find what you need
I have root via kingroot on a purchased outright medtech HTC desire 628. If you tell me how to go about getting any info that would help let me know.

Its really simple mahn... Just download TWRP builder. Grant root access and upload your boot image. Make sure you have backed up your current boot.img . When the custom twrp recovery is ready, the app will let you know. For me, it didn't work. Then I contacted the developer and he did some tweaks and sent the recovery for the second time. And it worked!
