[ICON] OnePlus Logo Collection (Updated 2014-09-28) - ONE Themes and Apps

Hey everyone --
I was so used to using the Nexus "X" logo as my applications drawer icon on my Nexus 4 and 5 that I didn't think twice about using it as my app drawer icon on my OnePlus One. Then it occurred to me to use the OnePlus logo as the app drawer icon, but I couldn't find a version that was translucent. So I created one, plus one, plus one.... Here's the collection of OnePlus icons that I made. Hopefully, this will save some folks the time and effort if they want to use these as icons.
Some screenshots are included in the second post to give you an idea what I'm talking about...
Please note that these files are in the .png format -- it's easier to work with transparency in that format than .jpg. My trial and error indicates that they have to remain in .png format to remain transparent...
Have fun!
Changelog:
- 2014-10-03 - Lock handle icons added
- 2014-09-28 - AK variations added
- 2014-09-19 - U2 variations added
- 2014-09-18 - CM Blue variations added
- 2014-09-17 - all files more graphically clean; stray pixels have been removed and the images are bigger and more consistent. (It's not me, it's my OCD....); Official case and cover variations added
Variations:
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55824306&postcount=42 for lock handle icon variations
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55727836&postcount=25 for AK-kernel-themed versions of the OnePlus logo
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55555263&postcount=19 for U2-themed versions of the OnePlus logo.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55511675&postcount=11 for "official case/cover" colors of the OnePlus logo.

Using Apex Launcher, here are some screenshots of my homescreen with several of the OPO logos as the AppDrawer icon:

The steps are roughly the same, whether it's Nova or Apex Launchers.
0. Download the graphic image(s) you want to use from my original post.
1. Long-press the App Drawer icon (i.e. hold it for 2 seconds) so that a menu appears
2. Tap Edit, and the next menu shows the name and graphic image associated with that icon
3. Tap the graphic image (for App Drawer, it's usually a circle with several dots in it)
4. Navigate the choices and select the graphic image you downloaded in Step 0.
The following screenshots are for Nova Launcher.
Good luck!

Couple of questions:
1- do I just hold down the image in your OP and select save image. When I do so, it goes to my gallery.
2- now, when I try to edit the image to select the downloaded image files, they do not show up with my apps. I can fallow your nova steps fine, but not sure method to download the images to then view and select in the apps icon screen.
Thanks,
Ian. B
Never mind, got it figured out and it looks great. Thanks for your help.

I tried both transparent on apex and nova I just get white box.

Glad it ended up working out for you?:good:
Completely unrelated: someone asked me for a BLUE version. I'm just wondering if there's a demand out there for other colors besides stock red and white. If so, I can probably work on doing some variations.

Official Case and Cover Colors
All right, some downtime at work allowed me go a little crazy! :silly: :silly:
Here are the clear and translucent variations of the OPO logo using the official CASE and flipCOVER colors available.
Even did the bamboo one as a background. And the native black sandstone from the 64gb OPO.
My apologies for being "quick and dirty" -- there are individual pixel deficits that are noticeable when the graphics are enlarged (as in these full views) that are not visible when the files are used as intended as icons. As I have more time, I will go back and fix these and let ya'll know when my perfectionistic inclinations are satisfied. {EDIT: Completely fixed and cleaned up}
Enjoy!

OP updated, as well as Case and Colors Variations.
All images have been cleaned up and purified. Much better to my eyes....! :highfive:

Great
You should do cyan blue like cyanogenmod colors.

CM Blue
Just for WoohWooh, here's a spread of CMBlue OPO logos. Also included is the CM11 wallpaper-based variant. Hope you like!

My friend, I thanked you because you made my day! [emoji1]
You're looking at my next project, a widget that I designed from scratch, hopefully released sometime soon on Google Play when I get some time.
There's already four variations that have been made, but I have to finalize and publish them. Sorry it's not out yet!

U2 covers
In the category of going completely overboard, I'm offering these variations up with appreciation to my favorite band. I'm disregarding the fact they are in bed with a certain fruit company and forced millions of people to have access to their latest album.... which I actually enjoyed more than their past several attempts. At any rate, I thought these looked kinda cool...

Thank you for icon :good:

I love the theme, but I would like to make a few suggestions if I may. There's a few things that I think would polish this theme up nicely. Themed Advanced Launcher, Stericson lockscreen option and the changing of "menu" to "apps" on the launcher.
Let me explain that last one. I'm not really a fan of it saying "menu" down there as my G1 also says "menu" below it (on the button) and the two "menu"s do two different things. It's a nitpick, but I think "apps" is better.

[MIUI] Cyan and Pink Themes

It's been a work in progress but I think I've finally perfected my themes. They're more a compilation of a ton of other themes with a little bit of tweaking. I hope you enjoy. These will only work with MIUI.... Which i'm sure those who use MIUI would already know, but I figured I'd refresh ya. And if you completely hate them, then... don't tell me about it because i'm sensitive and it would probably hurt my feelings.
Updates 7.05.11
-Changed the lockscreen
-Updated the UI to the latest version of MIUI
Updates 6.21.11
-Fixed Dialer
-Tweaked status bar icons
-Fixed a few other bugs
-Added themed Car Mode

I'm so glad you like them! The pink is my favorite too. It's the OCD coming out because my themes have to match my phone cases. Hopefully i'll be able to finish them in a few more colors soon!
I'm really loving this theme and all, but I have a couple of questions. How do I fix the fitting issue with the dial pad? It seems to not register the right buttons like when I press 5, it presses 3. Also, the icons that are not themed are very dark and hard to see, how would I be able to correct that issue?
Thank you very much!
Hello! I'm working all those bugs currently, I should have an updated version coming up either today or the next few days. Thanks for the info!
Also, if there are any icons you want me to theme, let me know. I'll be working on the transparency issue.
Thank you loved the pink one!
if you could fix the transparency icons issue it would be great
very nice, been looking for something like this. think it needs to be converted to the new format tho.

Open the MTZ file with winrar, extract the lockscreen via winrar again and just change the image over making sure that the name is the same. if you are looking to edit the images use photoshop or you will loose any transparency on the images please note you may need to compress the file .. if you are not sure how this is done follow these steps http://forums.miuiandroid.com/showthread.php?8202-MIUI-Theme-How-To-1.7.8
Thread now updated ( 03/08/11 )with Round icons
Request will be taken and actioned ASAP
Thank you for the requests i will post the updates on Saturday
Very nice, I like the look of round lockscreen icons although imo I think they'd look better without the text labels beneath them. The megaupload link is down.
Plus, a little confused by the browser icon. It looks more suited as icon for compass!
Also, maybe a cosmetic bug. Quite often it shows a flat red line (no signal or is it low signal) while flat red line I had a 5 min phone call perfectly fine.

I like the outline color when switching screens love the folders. More background colors would he nice and maybe a window for the icon themer to add a reflection to the icons, and of course more icons themed. Maybe more wallpapers too. For folders just to try something different maybe a little more color and rounded to match icons. Love the theme for most part. Its my favorite out of the 7 I have you really should put in the market. Ill continue to test for you too.

New icon, contributions are welcome! (completed)

For the next version (probably named 2.6), @GermainZ has made big contributions for a refreshed, more holofied design. I think this would be the right time to introduce a new logo as well. If you want to contribute, but can't code, this is your chance.
Some trivia about the current/old logo:
I quickly put it together when I first published the installer two years ago.
The "X" obviously stands for Xposed.
It's hardly visible in the resized icons, but the blood drops below the X actually read "posed".
The "deeper meaning" of the logo was to illustrate how Xposed hits right into the heart of Android, exposing functionality that wouldn't be possible otherwise.
I'm not involved in the Heartbleed bug, even tough it has been introduced around the same time.
Anyway, after two years, I think it could use a refresh. I have attached a draft, mainly based on work by @natezire71. It combines two ideas that I like a lot: "X" for Xposed, and a puzzle piece as a symbol for the modularity. As it will still take some more time until the next release, I thought I'd open this thread for improvements and new ideas.
Some guidelines:
The logo should reflect what Xposed is about. I like the puzzle idea, but there may be other good symbols.
Yet, it should be a rather simple shape to make it usable even for small icon sizes.
It should look nice on light and dark backgrounds.
The original image size should be 864x864 according to http://developer.android.com/design/style/iconography.html (I made the mistake to apply colors only to the resized copy, therefore the smaller attachment)
If possible, please use a file format like PSD with multiple layers for the individual elements and ideally vector graphics, that makes it much easier to edit/rearrange parts later (my example isn't good again, I had to get rid of layers to line up the X with the outline).
I'll see how the reactions are, then I'll decide if I like a single logo so much that I will use it, or put up a poll for you to choose one. Feel free to post just a sketch of your ideas to test how I like it (before putting much effort in finalizing it).

assuming that you're interested in feedback as well, my vote goes toward "non-pastel" colors. i prefer saturated colors over washed out stuff, basically putting quite some time to change ugly icons to my liking this is jus throwing in my dice, hope it's welcome
Current Devices:
I9100, PAC-ROM 4.3.1 ( Formerly Omni, PA, Dorimanx, etc. )
N7000, 4.1.2 TouchWizz All Stock ( very motivating to continue flashing custom roms further haha.... )
N7100, Cyanogenmod 11, Xposed Framework ( Formerly AOSNP, PAC, Omni, PA, Devil, Thor, AGNI up to 2.7.6, etc. )

Thanks! But keep in mind that icons are displayed at small sizes, e.g in the title bar of the app. I'm afraid that the details in @DD-Ripper's suggestion will get lost at such sizes. Then it wouldn't be much more than a blue circle.

I agree, I like the clean style. @DD-Ripper, did you plan that that the icon should have a opaque background, possibly with slightly rounded corners, or would the background be transparent? Transparent would probably create clearer outlines, but requires outlines in the icon itself (e.g. your latest suggestion would not work on a white background).
Could you post a preview with just the icon, resized to 48x48 px (used for medium resolution), so we get a better impression what it would look like on a phone with less details?

Mhm, it's not so much speaking for itself, a bit more iconic would be great.

Yeah I agree it won't work on a white bg ..here is a preview like u asked .
The image is in standard 720p res (1200x768px) and I included few more resolutions of the icon too :
Edit : I'll do the one with "outlines" in a monochromatic grey color . Wait few minutes

How about removing the hardware button on the phone? We aren't iPhones; if anything, it should be modeled after a Nexus device.

I know--but thing is, a modern Android phone shouldn't have a hardware button. That's great that it's a 2-3 year old phone. It should be modern.

But it also could be intended like Xposed being also supported by old devices.
