Amazon has several extended batteries for next to nothing ($7 to $14). My wife wants to get one for her Mogul, but I'm a little hesitant to buy one of these. Can anyone here attest to their quality, or should I spend the extra and go with Seidio or another more trustworthy brand?
Also, while I'm at it, what's a good hard case that supports extended batteries? I found the thread on the Seidio one, but the link took me to their main site and I couldn't find the actual case anywhere.
Thanks.
I have always bought cheap batteries from Ebay with no problems but not for my 6800 yet. I have had one fail where one cell in the battery seemed to die. I had no problem buying a new one since I still wasn't paying OEM pricing still.
I bought one a few months ago and it has recently started to expand when it gets hot. This morning when I unplugged it from my laptop, the battery door popped off. Needless to say, I have another one, from another manufacturer, already bought and on the way.

I swear by these guys for all my accessories and batteries, going on 4 phones now. Very satisified customer.

This is by far my favorite of the 3 holsters I've previously owned for various phones by the same company. Phone sits very secure with no fear of falling out at all.
Interesting, the price is a bit steep but not too high.
I would like to see some higher res pics from a few angles to get a better idea of what the case cover looks like.
I have the holster but how do you know the extended battery fits the holster? From the single photo of the battery cover, it looks like the top sticks out as much as the area below the camera...

How long do we have to wait for a more reasonable price on these?

Yes I did see that though from the photo it does not look like that's the case. Do you really think it's compatible from that photo? I've had the extended battery for the Storm and the holster worked fine because the battery cover did not extend on the upper portion where the camera is. Guess we'll have to wait for someone to actually dive in but in the meantime I'm sticking to what I can tell from that photo on their site.
Reasonable price? depends on what you think is reasonable. You do realize that without either the battery or the phone, the other is pretty worthless. I think it's a great price considering crap motorola batteries are $30
got this from seidio, just an fyi, they must be talking about different holsters or the listing might just be plain incorrect.

I ordered this, and its been shipped already and I am awaiting arrival. I also have the innocase and holster combo, and while I know the innocase wont fit, I will try the holster and report back if that one works.
any idea which case will work?
:/
I got mine today. Huge battery
The replacement cover is ok, although I am afraid it will accidentally slide off in my pocket.
Overall, the added bulk really doesn't make a huge difference, in fact it makes it a little easier to hold.
Can't wait to see what the battery life on this sucker is like.

I got mine today too. I also like the added bulk. It fits my Seidio holster, even though the innocase that I got with the holster wont fit. Made of the same material as the innocase so its hard to scuff etc. I'll report back after a few cycles to let people know what I'm getting usage wise out of it.
UPDATE:
Well, it came off the charger at 3:30pm today saying 100%. I have been hammering it mercilessly for 6 hours now. Streaming Pandora for six hours straight, Turned on GPS, set all of my social network notifications to the quickest pull intervals, and my mail also. I have had the web browser open for nearly three hours, had three calls of around 20 minutes each, and my awake time since I pulled the battery off the charger is 100%. I am sitting at 75% right now. I am trying to get the battery low so I can get a full charge for the next cycle, but this damn thing won't go down. I guess I'll try to download a game or something and play it while listening to Pandora. This thing is a beast....
This is a beast. Used it all evening last night, and the power meter did not budge.
Also the new back makes the Hero much easier to hold.
Waiting for a day in the office where I have a weak signal to see how it does there. I'm guessing this thing will make it through a day or two no matter what I throw at it.
By far the best accessory...
Awesome, guys, glad to hear this thing is the real deal. I'm thinking about getting one but I'm waiting for the price to go down. Anyone know if they usually do? Last extended battery I bought was only $7, this one is pretty steep.
I found a better deal but not in stock ATM:

watch out for these kinda deals, i'm fairly certain seidio's waranty doesn't transfer to 3rd party sellers completely.
I had purchased a battery from seidio previously that was DoA, and after a conversation with their RMA department getting my invoice number and all that, they said they will replace bad batteries from anywhere but since I purchased through seidio directly they would send me a replacement without having to send the old one back first (or at all, they just said to pitch it). The battery that was sent to me was tested with a full power cycle before being over-nighted to my door.
I don't know, it's something to think about. If I'm getting a quality piece of gear, and the service to back it. I don't mind throwing out an extra little bit.
I'm on my second charge. The phone has been off the charger since 12pm on Sunday. I am sitting at 70% on Monday at 2pm. I'm really liking the usage I am getting out of this. I did not beat on it too much yesterday, just a lot of normal use. I figure at this rate, I will have to charge it every three or so days. I'm hoping it improves after a few cycles, even though I've only charged it twice so far. I'm going to run it down to 30% or so before the next charge....who knows when that will be lol.
Im not usually one for starting a new thread to ask a question but i think other people may be interested also.
I have purchased the extended battery and have found that the phone no longer fits into the pouch, well it does but i had to use my teeth to get it back out!!!!
Anyway has anyone got one that it fits in or have seen one available? Im in the UK. Please advise myself and others. Thanks.
have a look at this it will fit the extended battery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=684662
Check out this case:

If you can get it in the UK/Europe it might work. Check out cases advertised for the EVO 4G. It is a thicker version of the HD2 that comes with a bigger battery as original equipment.
Cheers guys. I didnt think to look for an evo case or in Tesco lol.
Just giving a heads up in case anybody has seen these and thought about buying one.
HTCPedia.com is selling an "Extended Battery Fit Hard Rubber Case for HTC Droid Incredible." I'm new, so I can't post the link.
I purchased one of these since I currently have one of the extended batteries in my Dinc and haven't seen another case that works with it. I received it on Friday and was a little shocked. This is NOT a case designed to fit the Incredible with an Extended battery. It is a standard case manually cut to open the back up so the extended battery can fit through it. As if that wasn't bad enough, not only did it not fit...but the cut job was really crappy. Squared off corners instead of rounded, double cuts in some places that left slivers of the material sticking out, etc. If you are planning on getting one of these you are better off just buying the standard case and cutting it yourself. You'll save money and likely do a better job.
HTCPedia has not responded back to my emails yet either as to if this was a mistake or honestly what they are trying to sell. I'll let you know if they respond with anything.
Here's the link for the case.
The quality in the pictures looks pretty bad to me, would have been a pretty good indication of the quality you'd receive. It's also only made for the 2150 extended battery/back.
That case is the one verizon sells look at the red one it has the same design inside as the one from verizon!!!! Haha so they just cut out the back piece!!!

Yup, just cut it out. I did get a call back from HTCPedia just a few minutes ago and they are giving me a full refund. So that at least makes me feel a little better about the whole deal.
Has anyone tried the off brand battery cases for the Note 8 that are $20 - $27 such as Himino, VProof, etc? Most of these cases are 6500 mAh and about $10 cheaper than the Zero Lemon 5500mAh battery case. So far they are getting good reviews on Amazon.
Thinking about trying one of them out for $24 or so.

Not trying to sound like a D. But you bought a $1k phone, do you really wanna go cheap? Zero lemon is one of the best brands of battery cases. They make quality stuff is why. Wouldn't trust many others might cause harm to Note or not as good of quality. Pay the extra $10 and get Zero Lemon.

I agree, but the smaller zerolemon is clearly the same case everyone is selling. I have 5500mah $20 case. It works perfectly

I've been using one is the offbrand battery cases does 3 months without issues. I definitely agree with your concern of just throwing cheap accessories at expensive things. I feel the same way, so I quality test any cheap accessories I purchase for expensive items, and perform any mods or upgrades I can to the items.
This case I have for example, I added extra solder to the contact points for the battery, and used silicon to seal it up better, as there were a few spots they did a crap job on. $20 and nothing more. For people not so experienced or daring, get a more trusted brand product for sure!!!
This is all great advise guys appreciate everyone's input. I am always a little hesitant to go with the cheapest batteries for my Note x smartphones but having said that over all the years I have only had one replaceable battery expand on me and it was a Samsung brand which they replace overnight.
I will probably give one of re 6500mAh battery packs a try and see how they perform, I may even get the Zero Lemon 5500mAh battery just to compare.
I have been using an off brand battery case since December and no issues so far.
