Hello. I have a lg o2x for more than 2 years and i after flashing a lot of custom roms, for more than an year i stick with 4.0 almost stock rom.
Few months ago i wanted to flash something else just because it runs slowly and cant use it decently.
The issue was that no matter what i tried to flash, it didn't work. i cant remember right now what error i got, but i remember i did a bit of research at that time and people adviced me to flash a new recovery using aio toolkit.
I am scared of bricking my device and i dont really know how to use aio toolkit..
Can anybody give me some steps in what should i do with aio? Thank you very much!
And i dont really get the thing with now/old bootloader and how does it affects your device...
Its easy to to identify the bootloader of your phone ,when you turn on your phone you get he lg logo if its pink its on new btl or if its white so its on old bootloader

It might be due to the computer not recognizing the phone properly?
You will probably have to end up replacing 3e recovery if your friend is already at 2.2. I always just 1Click back to stock and install a custom ROM from there. The only other ways I have seen involve replacing the stock kernel with a rooted kernel using Odin (the non-1click version), which can quickly ruin your friendship if any problems are encountered. Nothing else that I have seen will work with 3e.
Here is the 1Click: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884364 look at step 2, worked perfectly for me.
If you want to take fun way, forget rooting, just use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944418 and install custom rom that comes with root(all of them)
Either way, happy hunting
if you follow this it should work no problem.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989
reason super one click isnt working is probably because your phone is not in USB debugging mode
And you shouldn't double post the same question clogs up the thread

Hey,
I have a nexus, but my mate has the note. He is having all sorts of problems with it when it comes to flashing ROMs. I was hoping u smart people here might be able to help
What the problem is, is that only about one in 10 ROMs will install. He flashes the usual way... wipe everything, etc but either gets in a boot loop, or just Samsung comes up on the screen, it disappears and then comes back and this repeats. He has to then pull the battery. Another weird thing is that a ROM that may not have worked a few weeks ago, he tries it again and for some weird reason it works. So far he has never been able to flash an ICS ROM.
Any ideas? I've suggested to him to start completely afresh and use fast boot, etc again, but I'm no expert myself. I've never had any dramas myself with the nexus so this has me completely stumped....
Thanks
Dean

Edit: sorry guys, he used Odin, not fast boot.
Maybe he dont follow the instructions correctly

What method is he using to flash? If using pc Odin does the flash get stuck at factoryfs. Img?
Was he on ics stock and did he perform any factory resets on it?
If answers are yes, it's likely he's got traces of damage on his emmc chip, but we need to know where the flash is failing to understand further.

No and no.
His phone came with GB. He downloads the ROMs using his computer then transfers the zip to then flash using CWM recovery.
He has tried lots of different ROMs. He tried to install a new ROM the other day but before doing so he deleted a few ROMs he still had on the SD card. He flashed the new ROM and it didn't work. He freaked coz he didn't do a backup first, but he tried installed the ROMs that were still on the SD card and found them all but one to work, and the one that worked was a ROM that he had tried before but didn't work then, but this time it did work...
What is happening? Is there something he can do?

Try flashing rom with pc odin instead of cwm.
Check out Dr ketan sticky thread in rom development for directions on how to use pc odin. It's simple.
Let us know how you progress.

Hi guys, my phone was rooted using the CWM clockwork recovery injected smartflash method. I figured out I am too hopeless, and easily frustrated to have a rooted phone. So I went to install the original firmware with smartflash, unfortinately it did not work and timed out and now I am stuck on the SW Upgrade screen. I have tried multiple times, and even tried the LG recovery tool and all of them time out eventually through the process. Can anyone please advice me how to proceed? I use firmware v20c new zealand
Try to reinstall the drivers and download the bin files again, smart flash is the way to go

First off, thanks for that video. It was one of the few easy to use resources to root!
I have tried reinstalled drivers, downloading it again and making another rom of it with rom creator both with and without CWM clockwork. At this point I just keep trying hoping it will work. It keeps :Timeout error is occured different periods each time.
Im getting very frustrated as I am seeming to make no progress and dont know why it isnt working.

You are frustrated to having a rooted phone? But why? Lot of benefits if you have rooted phone. About the time out, It happened to me before. It shows time out so what i did is gave my phone some time to rest. I went to bed go to sleep and when i woke up i used smartflash again and it works!

I enjoyed the better interface and such, but all the bugs and constant resets were getting on my nerves. I guess I am too used to the team iOS. Thanks for the words of encouragement, if it doesnt work tonight Ill try again tomorrow. Its getting quite nerve racking, can't seem to get it to work
The only other suggestion I have for you is try some other cable, good luck! =)
Have you replaced the smartflash with a fresh download?
Yes, use new cable
Just only Cable made my phone bricked and cost me RS. 3000

2-3 weeks ago i updated my lg p990 to ics v30a using smart flash. and soon after upgrading i fond that ics is creating problems.
it crashes and phones reboots and dis happens all the time. sometimes it reboots when i am entering my sim pin. sometimes when am working on net and someone calls i pick up the phone reboots. i was so fu**ed up that i decided to root it bt that too didnt work.
What i used :-
1--> superoneclick --- it didnt work.
2--> root unlocker-- didnt work
3--> android root -- didnt work
4-->z4root -- didnt work
5--> even tried that bin4ry stuff that too didnt work. asks for restore i press restore and the shell runs forever.
6--> tried AIO toolkit.
rooted the custom rom. bt wtf problem still persists i seriously want to just root my phone please please just help me.. nothing seems to work exept the frequent rebooting of my phone.
7--> unlock root didnt work.
install a custom recovery with AIO, then install a stock based rom. I'm on djangomanoucheX, which is like stock, but fast and all. no lags, no reboots, everything works great.

you mean to say installing the zip rom using CWM recovery??
if thats what u mean. then ive done that it fails. i think i might be using the wrong zip.
also tried to install kdz doesnt work says device not responding something.
i did that using the start upgrade ****. the window for selecting language never opens. only thing opens is the lg mobile support tool. and again when i click on upgrade start it shows message that lg support tool is already running.
the only thing working is the smartflash that i used to install that buggy ics rom.
i think flashing gingerbread using smartflash might work. bt i upgraded to ics coz of that buggy gingerbread.
i just want to ask why the hell my phone keeps on rebooting ???? (i cant even chat on whatsapp for more than 15 mins it reboots )
also sometimes when i put my phone on charging.
and do u thing gingerbread will root without that many problems??

make a complete wipeor factory reset....use the ALL IN ONE TOOL KIT by Spyrosk....check for the thread in development section....and start from the scratch....will be good.DONT FORGET TO BACK UP YOUR DATA IF ANY
for GB, it was easy....for ICS it is not too difficult either
Or you could use Progmaq to restore your device to a clean cm7 build. This will wipe all your data. It wipes everything in your device, all partitions. A full guide can be found on xda here.

If you can't root your phone, that's mean that you don't have APX drivers. You can download them manually or you can just simply download AIO Tool kit and in main menu press letter ''I''. Before installing APX drivers you must have LG drivers for your phone.
When you're done with that, for rooting press 3, or for flashing stock rom press 7.
If you press 7, new window will pop up. It's smartflash tool which allows you to flash stock rom. You just need to find and download stock rom which one you would like to flash.
Hope it helps
First off, I wanna make clear that i have had no android experience whatsoever.
I only knew about Xposed and how it could do wonders for your phone.
So when i used Kingoroot to root my Blu Vivo XL, it rebooted, and it was stuck on the colorful boot screen.
I rebooted in "factory mode" (the one that tests modules like the speaker, sim card slots, etc) and, being the absolute noob i am, i selected "clear eMMC" and used it.
Then, after i rebooted again, it was stuck on the other boot screen (the black and white one before the colorful one).
Now, i've let it sit on the black and white screen for nearly a day now, and nothing has happened.
Please help.
Also, I didn't know about the "enable oem unlock" feature, so it wasn't enabled before it was bricked.
Is my phone completely screwed?
You used kingroot to root your device?
Sent from my D2004 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I attempted to root using Kingroot, but it rebooted in the middle, and now it's bricked.
I checked the root status from the stock recovery, it says that it is not rooted.
I'm not a pro on this but i've tried almost everything. I dont suggest kingroot or other apps when your device isnt supported. But rooting it via od1n will work. Try to enter stock recovery mode then clear cache then hard reset. If it doesnt work, download your device model stock rom from the internet then flash it via od1n. Goodluck hopes up. Its just a softbrick ?

First off, thank you so much for responding!
Basically, I finally found the stock rom for the vivo xl, and i used sp flash tool to restore.
I think Odin is only for samsung phones, so i didnt find any guides for restoring other brand phones, but thank you so much for the encouragement!
I bricked my phone many times. Esp my sony e1 there's no recovery for e1 so everytime I brick my phone just need my stock rom and flashtool. But mostly odin
