i need your help, just got an htc one sprint for 90 bucks, i live abroad the US so i was thinking that i can use this phone without any problems as i have been doing with the verizon's phones with the global roaming. But with this when i put the sim card i got the invalid sim card etc, and i was looking the way to unlock it but spent almost all day and it seems that the version running kitkat and with hboot 1.57 can't get downgraded in order tu unlock the sim for use in my country, tired i can't remember what i did wrong that i just have now a bricked phone that can't get the internal storage, can't flash a zip even on sideload cuz i got errors, couldn't get the s off even using the firewater method with a custom rum.
I remember that i used an CM11 Nightless if i am not wrong but when i tried to restore it i got the 0 storage storage. Reading on different pages i just see the restore to the jelly bean version but kitkat i coulnd't get nothing. I am not so noob i had rooted even a Pantech Burst but this is a pain in the ass for me.
So i want to know if i have a brick or if this phone can be saved.
At least i can get to recovery when i unlock the bootloader but of course i can't get storage, tried with cwm and the other one
What i am worried about is that thing of security warning when i relocked the bootloader
Please help :crying:

You probably need to run a RUU to reset your phone. Here is 5.03.651.3 you can use this if your OS is the same or lower since you are still S-ON. On your sim unlock issue, depending if the imei is clear you can contact Sprint for the unlock code via their support site.

I have already tried that but i had the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect, i downloaded the first one not the decrypted. Using both versions of windows 7 and 8 32-64 bits, happens the same problem
and for call Sprint i am in Panama, central america and i don't think that they will provide me the unlock code if the phone even is not mine at all it still with the name of the girl who sold me the one

Try to run the firmware 5.03.651.3 just download it, rename to firmware.zip and place in your adb/fastboot folder. Here are the steps for flashing firmware. Since you are S-ON make sure your bootloader is locked/relocked.
In bootloader/FASTBOOT USB type in the command window:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot oem rebootRUU [/I][/B]
NOTE: You should see a silver HTC logo come up on your phone after executing this command.
NOTE: if this command freezes, just disconnect the USB cable and hold the power and volume down buttons until the device reboots. Then, repeat the steps above again.
Then:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/I][/B]
Repeat the same command: IMPORTANT
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/I][/B]
NOTE: The green bar on the phone may not go to 100% of the bar ... but If you see completed on your computer command window, wait for a few seconds and move on.
Last Step:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot reboot[/I][/B]

If the firmware flashes successfully, then I would try the RUU again.
Finally i made it came back but i still with the problem of the sim card, reading around the web it seems that with the hboot 1.57 is not yet possible the roaming as was possible with others like 1.56 or less, and i don't wanna have that pain again of what happens this weekend

So, I bought a second hand Sprint HTC One from Craigslist about a week ago.. First think I did was followed QBKing77's guide on how to unlock bootloader and root. Did that fairly easily, then went through this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386703 ) to unlock it, had to do the steps in this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2491840 ) to get it to work since I had Android 4.3 and was unsure on how to go backwards to Android 4.2.2. After I got my phone unlocked, I went and got a Net10 SIM card and a month card, activated it, threw it in my One, and.. Nothing. No signal what so ever on GSM. It does recognize my SIM, though. So, I flashed to the original Radio from Sprint ( 1.00.20.0315 ), but still couldn't connect to GSM networks. I called Sprint, and they said my phone was still active on a plan, so I went hunting for a way around that.. I saw some things about flashing to Cricket, but I didn't want that. After relocking my bootloader and trying to RUU a few times, and none of them working, I thought I should update the Firmware. So, I downloaded some UL update for 3.62.401.1 without thinking, flashed it onto my device, and when I booted it up, it started a boot loop. I could navigate the phone for a while, but after about 5 minutes of it being turned on, it would reboot. So, I went into TWRP>wipe>advanced wipe> selected Dalvik Cache, Cache, and System. After that, my system now hangs on the HTC boot screen. I can still get into Bootloader, Fastboot, and Recovery. I tried flashing to TWRP 2.5.0.0, but my touch screen stopped working in TWRP when I did that. I just flashed back to 2.6.3.0, and my touch works again in TWRP. I can't get ADB Sideloader to work.. Currently, my Bootloader is Unlocked, S-Off, superCID, HBoot 1.55.0000, Radio 4A.21.3262.04, OpenDSP v32.120.274.0909, OS 1.29.651.10. That's about all the info I can get from Bootloader. It still says Tampered as well.
What should I do? My first step is to hopefully get back to where I can actually see the homescreen.. After that, I'd like to be able to get my phone to work on GSM.. I don't know if that is possible, though. I haven't found anything about someone having a phone that is still on a Sprint plan and being able to use GSM in the US.

Are you 100% sure you are s-off?
Try a different USB Port
USB 2 if possible.

I only have two ports on my laptop, and I've tried both. I even tried a usb hub, but that gave me the same error. In my bootloader, it says I'm s-off, I used rumrunner to do it a couple days ago.
I think that I tried everything on this phone and it seems that it's getting worst.
I will tell you the device history as briefly as I can . . .
Part 1: (SIM unlock)
Bought a Sprint HTC M7 from eBay (with a cracked screen, bad shape case and bad ESN I think but didn't cared cause I am from Europe and want to use it on GSM)
Unlocked it, rooted, S-off, downgrade to 1.29.651.10 and SIM unlock using this guide.
Part 2: (Parts replacement)
Bought replacement parts from eTradeSupply, replace them and was PARTIALLY fine.
The devices was rebooting randomly (common M7 bug) so I factory reset it.
After that, after 3-4 hours the NETWORK SIGNAL was gone.
Flash a lot of other Sprint RUU, tried to SIM UNLOCK it again many times but no network signal, even more, it was showing NO SIM CARD.
At one point I tried more SIM cards and saw that 2 of them were detected and I had network signal.
After some research I have 2 ideas of what happened:
1) I didn'r replace the SIM READER cause the new assembly already included it (it is between the glass and the frame so couldn't replace it with original one form SPRINT)
2) The SIM READER has some broken pins (someone from a repair shop told me that SIM cards use different depending on the carrier) but still do not understand why it still shows NO SIM CARD for some SIM cards.
Part 3: (Flash Verizon RUU)
After that I tried flashing a Verizon RUU (thought are alike cause both are CDMA phones).
The RUU flash stopped at flashing the system, the phone could not boot again so did factory reset.
No WiFi, no signal, no rotation, no proximity sensor and I think that many other things after the Verzion RUU, which was normal so I flashed back a Sprint RUU.
After that the phone booted but only a GREEN HTC LOGO on white background appeared and after 1-4 minutes it was rebooting.
Deleted the HTC_Setup.apk and still the phone was rebooting. After a better inspection saw that it had "Unknown" IMEI, MEID, etc and also "Unknown" Baseband.
By many experiments I flashed only the Verzion radio.img on the Sprint Stock Rom and saw that the IMEI and all the info went back.
!!! All this time the info didn't change in the phone whey I was reading it from bootloader (FASTBOOT GETVAR ALL) !!!
Part 4: (Flash manually every img)
My idea was that the RUU doesn't rewrite everything because:
1) After all those RUU the sprint email that was activates was still there
2) The Sprint Animation when booting wasn't showing anymore
3) In the RUU flashing process there are about 15 things that are flashed but in a decrypted RUU i saw that their are about 22 img.
Flashed and ENGENIEERING HBOOT, flashed was images i could manually (couldn't flash rconfig.img, didn't know how) and after fastboot reboot-bootloader the device HARD BRICKED
I was lucky that it was in the QHSUSB_DLOAD and I could repair it with Linux and a M7_UL script but using Sprint firmware instead.
After that the phone could read the IMEI and all other info having a Sprint Stock Rom and a Sprint radio.
Part 5: (S-OFF problem)
The things is that when I S-OFF the phone reads the SIM for 5-10 seconds then for another 5-10 seconds it sais that I have NO SIM INSERTED and when changing between those states the "Airplane mode" seems fo flicker like you click on it but it still shows that it's on OFF
When I S-ON it's OK, it can read still only the 2 SIM cards that it was previously reading and it can get network signal for them (also no signal drop)
Another problem is that the battery is draining fast (about 10% for one hour and i am on 4.1.2 android so no 4.4.4 battery bugs)
Some important things:
Now it shows me that the MEID is 00000000 when previously it was like the IMEI but without that last digit
The username is [email protected]
The IMSI, UICC ID are different from previous but I guess that they are dependent on SIM card so I think that it's ok
The values of FASTBOOT GETVAR ALL are the same as in the first day
Could it be that the M7_ul script write something from the international version ?
I read the script before and from what I've seen it was flashing only 4 images to make the phone possible to enter the bootloader so you can flash a RUU.
Why does the S-OFF affect the rom making it read and unread the SIM card and when S-ON it's fine?
Why my battery is draining so fast?
I am opened to any opinions/experiments, etc . . .
What I would try if someones know how is to recreate all the partitions and write everything from 0 but can I do that only from USB?
And if so I think I need some partition files from someones elsees HTC M7 Sprit.
From what I've read on the internet, I saw that many persons have one of the problem that I've encountered and I think that all of them could be fixed if we found a way to
rewrite everything (or the import parts that are not rewriten at lest). I think that also the rconfig.img image from a RUU it's important but I don't know how to flash it.
Waiting for sugestions . . .
New Updates . . .
After some research I ended up getting my hands into the DIAG Mode so I could repair my MEID. After a lot of trouble getting the MSL code to enter the DIAG Mode (The phone was S-OFF and the MSLUtility apk could not read the MSL code, which after some tries I S-ON the phone and interesting, the MSL was 000000).
I search a lot to find a way to change to MEID until I got to this tutorial.
All good until I arrived at the part where you find edit the ESN and MEID files but the things was that there was no MEID file, only the ESN file.
After watching the tutorial till the end I saw that he used DFC CDMA tool to write the MEID so I download the tool, installed it, used it in the Demo Mode (no payed account) and after many tries of writing the MEID it finally saved and it was showing in the Phone Information. Also checked in EFS Explorer and the file 1943 which is the MEID file was created.
After that I S-OFF the phone and the NO SIM CARD was not toggling anymore so SUCCESS, I could register the phone to a network. Further more, the DIAG mode and the MSLUtility was now working with S-OFF also.
So a question for the ones that are more experienced and maybe have a clue of what happened . . .
Why having the phone S-ON "accepted" the bug of having no MEID ?
What does S-OFF actually do instead of letting you flash what RUU and FIRMWARE you want ? Cause it seems that S-OFF somehow affects the Android also.
I paid for the S-Off with Sunshine which was by far the easiest route I've had. But now he is were it gets difficult. I contacted straight talk to use my phone and they said it was possible and is currently active. The only thing is...I cannot use it as a phone. They said "sprint has it locked" so I searched and got S-Off, the CID is 11111111, from what I read that should make it possible to work. It still doesn't, and I know it has CDMA but also a SIM card slot which I thought was odd but I still cannot use a different SIM. I looked into a SIM unlock and found something about "am start com.redbend" command and it says it doesn't exist. I don't really understand all this but I read every instruction before I perform it. Now is my phone still just a mini-tablet? Or is there a way to actually use a straght talk SIM card since the phone has the option to use one, or did I just waste 85$ for the whole process of getting nothing done?
i have the same problem i bought a HTC M7 sprint unlocked everything was fine i can use other sim from my country but then
i bricked it trying to RUU diferents roms and S-ON by mistake ( playing wit the toolkit)
now i pay and i have s-off again but i have problem with the SIM when i briked i the bootloader options there is a locksim option i think that i I gave that option
then i have the last RUU i think that would fix everything but i didnt i can not use my sim again another problem is that i notice that i can use wifi
bt nfc but in opction it show the airplane optcion in gray saying turning of is stucked i can turn it on but when i turn it off again it stuck in turning off
i can not use the phone option
i saw a topic that says that i could flash a rom for GSM when i am CDMA but i try to flash 5.0.2 firmware but it didnt work too i still have the same problem and also flash my actual radio too but the same
ps: sorry for my english i am not a native speaker
after you s-off your phone, flash hboot_hexed and downgrade your m7 to 4.1.2 so you can do the "am start com.redbend" command.
Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.10_RUU.zip is the 4.1.2 rom. after you flash hboot_hexed for sprint m7, you can proceed in downgrading your phone.
A while ago I bought a M7 second hand, and the phone worked nicely while my m8 was being repaired. When the m8 returned I left the M7 unused for some months. Earlier this week I once again needed the M7 as a backup phone. I updated with Lollipop. But quite shortly after the phone started to reboot and couldn't find network/ recognize SIM. As thought I would be warranty left I tried to look up IMEI and didn't find any.
After briefly searching the net it seems like all other phones with this issue have been rooted. As long as I've owned the phone I haven't rooted the phone, but the previous owner might have done it. So I wonder if the imei could have been wiped if the phone never have been rooted. If that's unlikely the previous owner probaly have rooted the phone and that would surely void the warranty.
Where do I start to fix the phone, there seem to be a fix for the issue.
Unrooted using latest stock Android 5.0.2 and Sense 6.0.

Thanks, I've been searching.
And it seems like htc1guru's guide to return to stock would be able to help me (can't link due to being restricted cause of to few posts).
How do I find the correct RUU, I've not been able to find out?
A couple of other questions.
Currently the phone is UNROOTED, I'm I able to check if has been rooted previously and have S-Off?

Soemthing strange happend doing the fastboot thing.
After I've finished, the phone asked for a SIM card. And the IMEI restored. But overnight the phone restarted and IMEI disappeared once again.

Definitivly not SIM card related. I've crosschecked SIM card in another phone. I doubt it's the SIM tray, as the problem is only active when the IMEI number falls out. I think I'll try to restore back to stock. Are you able to identify the correct RUU?
Do I need to root the phone to install a clean stock?

Yep you'll need the 7.19.401.22 ruu.zip and you are lucky because I uploaded it earlier this week, it was not available anywhere before
As your phone is S-ON make sure to relock your bootloader before flashing the ruu (if not already locked or re-locked):
Code:
fastboot oem lock
then using htc_fastboot.exe (normal fastboot.exe from the android sdk won't flash new 7.xx.xxx.x RUUs):
Code:
htc_fastboot oem rebootRUU
htc_fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
htc_fastboot reboot

Thanks, I'm finished flashing. During the process there was a line which said failed. Don't know which as the fastboot command window don't have the full history. In the end it says OKAY, and the phone reboots. It currently setting up. Should I be worried.
Btw if this works I'll buy you a beer :good:
EDIT: it looks like IMEI still is missing

Its normal that some lines says failed when flashing a ruu (for example the secondary bootloader) as long as the final result is successful. If your imei is still missing after a ruu, its probably an hardware problem...
I have bought 3 years ago A HTC One M7 in the USA from Verizon. I worked in the States for a year and returned to the Netherlands. I cancelled my mobile contract with Verizon and asked them to unlock the M7 because I wanted to use the phone in NL with a local mobile provider. This worked partially. I could call with the phone but connecting to internet was only possible at very low speed. Also app updates did not work.
I contacted a local dude from a local Android forum who presented himself as an Android M7 guru. He was prepared to help me to load a complete fresh European RUU on the phone. I followed his instuctions precisely and this went initially smoothly. Changing VID, CID and whatever all through ADB. The final step however was installing the ruu and after wiping the phone content it was ready to install. And then the device was not recognized anymore by ADB. He also forgot to instruct me to install TWRP as a first step. So, I donot have TWRP.
Now the phone is bricked and here are the symptons.
The phone is charging incl battery logo. The phone boots but is not passing the boot logo. I can get into HBoot and it says unlocked s-off but I get a error message USB last connected devive caused an error. ADB commands do not work because the phone is not recognized. I can select recovery and then the PC tells me that a HTC android device is connected , that the phone a recognized as a mass storage device (portable device D:/ however I cannot reach the Phone in any way. I have killed USB drivers a millions times, deleted ADB and reinstalled. Deleted HTC sync mngr a million times, installed every possible usb driver kit etc etc etc. Even cleaned the register. Nothing seems to fix the problem. Factory reset fails because it fails to mount emmc. emmc indicates 0 bytes
I have tried now everything possible for 6 months and you are probably my last resort before I throw the phone in the bin. Local HTC partners are not allowed to touch the phone because it is a Verizon OEM phone.
So, what do you think? Is there any change to make this phone alive or not?

You cant flash the European ruu on a verizon m7, only the verizon ruu will work on ne this CDMA variant. Now you must have fastboot working to 1) revert your cid back to verizon 2)flash TWRP tout le get adb working and change back your mid to verizon and 3) flash the verizon ruu.

make sure the correct drivers are installed on your computer and try other usb ports (2.0) and cable.
There is nothing you can do to fix your phone without fastboot...
