I seem to be getting about 4.5 hours of battery life (heavy use) . is that normal for a galaxy s or is there something I can do to fix this ?
am using dark knight 5.5
I followed installation instructions to the letter regarding installation.
the phone is a year and a half old as well . should I replace the battery ?
also was wondering if there was any way to bet rid of the back light of the hardware capacitive buttons ???
I had the same issue, but it's working fine for me now, phone is also 1.5 years old.
Few tips:
- Download Battery Calibration Charge battery to 100%, calibrate, unplug phone.
- And also go to the lowest screen brightness as possible.
I doubled my battery life on average use (from 14 hours to about 28 hours) , you should get better results heavy use as well.
problem fixed ! thank you !
hey thanks a bunch sanderpovic .
I figured out my problem . I had already calibrated and brightness is at auto , but the real problem was ns tools . it made the CPU usage maximum by default ! like as if I set the governer to performance ....
I updated ns tools and now seems to be OK
thanks a bunch for replying will try with zero brightness today n see .

The battery is rapidly drained when you use the phone: I must charge twice a day.
I hate laptop. So im done all of works by phone. Bt ics 4.0.4. have super battery drain ( DK5, IMM76I, clean aokp b34, anarkia 0.1.7 ). By using jvu, jw5, rc 4.2, imm76d, IM charging twice a day bt now its 4 or 5 times. IM thinking I should go back 2.3.6. Plz help me.

Hay IM doing this but it not work for me, but some one suggest me after calibration battery, then use it until 0% n off phone automatically. Then charge phone 100% n then its get less battery drainage. Is it right?
Sorry for my bad English.

yeah by doing that your phone shows you the actual battery .
when you flash roms the battery stats gets corrupted so when you caliber ate the battery the battery stats file gets deleted and the system generates a new one . by letting it fully discharge and recharge to a hundred it gives you a more accurate battery level
simple ans : yeah ....
im gettin sd card scanning error on dark knight v5.5
help me please

I had this issue too....
I realized my phone wasnt going into deep sleep mode and was always running at 100mhz when the screen was off. Turned out to be my wireless settings. If you canhge this to turn wifi off at screen off it will fix this problem and enter deep sleep

Now sd card have a new name emmc but u dont find it! Use root/es file explorer( click upto root n click all in root setting, then go to back n u'll find emmc )
In Ns tool u'll go to cpu & on deep sleep.
Sorry for my bad english.

I've been facing this problem from the past week , i'm running the Sweet Rom on Galaxy Note n7000.
When ever i Reboot the phone , i get a huge battery drop , for example if the battery before rebooting is 47% , it goes to 15% when rebooted!
EDIT :
SOLVED !!!
SOLUTION :
Hey Guys ,
This issue has fixed , to fix this just charge phone to 100% then drain it to 0%
then charge the phone in one single charge and voila !
It will be FIXED!

The same here. I am on Ultimate XXLSA and i have the same problem, and is not only on reboot, just the battery run down very fast
Definitely the wrong forum. You may want to post this in the Q&A section
Moved To Q&A
The dev section is no place for this.
When does it happen?
Happen all the time u reboot?
Or only when ur phone freeze or get very hot?
If it happen when the phone freeze or when the phone get very hot, yes it happen like that since my galaxy s1 time. I normally change to other rom / kernel which won't make my device so hot.

I recently got a galaxy mini , everything is great but i have one problem with it , the battery drains in like 12 hours in standby . I gave the battery to a friend of mine who has he same phone as me , but with my battery in standby it drains in 4 days or so.
I got installed on it CWM Recovery 6.0.2.7 from dany547 and the new experience jelly bean rom .
Does anyone know how can i find the problem ? is there an app that shows you what consumes the battery so fast ?
have you overclocked your rom ?
overclocking causes battery drain
you can check your battery usage in settings - batter or in about -battery depending on the rom.
Sent from my GT-S5670 using xda premium
i did checked the battery stats , but its not abnormal , and the battery drains the same with or without overclock.
Any apps installed? USe CpuSpy and see if your deep sleep is working or not! 98% chance of not. Close all apps which can prevent your phone from sleeping. THings like facebook, viber, skype, whatsapp can do this, because they are using the internet to "listen" to someone. And also disable wifi, gps and whatever else can prevent phone from sleeping normally.
i see something like Deep : 16:44 86
Sleep : 43 6%
should i do some screenshots ? i cant understand this app so good .

Perhaps we can find out something more. So yeah, screenshot please!
ok , here is the folder with screenshots :
s639.photobucket.com/user/orochig3o/library/Other%20Stuff?sort=3&page=1
i made screenshots on cpuspy and the battery , it drained more then 50% in 2 hours thats not normal at all
I think you had install some app that drain battery. I had a problem like your when I installed HaxSync
i installed a clean rom with no apps , nothing . the battery drains the same way

I'm not sure if this will help, but why not flash stock ROM and start all over again? And this time try cwm 5 which has no issues and is being used for a while now....also isnt there a possibility that it could be a hardware problem? Why not get another battery and check it out?
And no one mentioned battery calibration? (would it even help?)
Hope this might help :fingers-crossed:
il try the stock rom and the cwm 5 , il post some news after i finish.

Yeah battery calibration is a good idea. But as I see 806 was active! Set to 748 max, 320 min, smartassv2!

Shouldn't make that much of a difference but 806 is just too much.
i think it might be the micro usb port on the phone , apparently if i connected it with a usb cable , the phone is not showing in windows , il try to replacing it and il come back if the problem is fixed.

Do one thing right now.
Turn on battery saver. Now turn off battery saver.
There is no fix

I tried that too bro. No use.
At first I thought that it was ROM problem and changed the rom. It's still the same.
