[Q] whatsapp push notifications dont work

HI guys
Im new to the SGS and so far loving it, except one annoying issue. my whatsapp push notifications do not work. Everything worked on the stock GB rom, then i moved to ICS WEUI rom, i think most of the time i got whatsapp notifications and then it stopped. I dont think ive done something the mess with it. in the past 2 days i flashed 5 different ROMs and i cant get these notifications to work. now im on Slim 3.5 (with its default kernel) and i been threw every setting in the rom and still nothing. BTW, gmail notification work all the time, no problem there.
This is the current setup:
android: 4.0.4
base band: I9000XXJVU
kernel: [email protected]#1
build number: 3.5
Under the Accounts & sync the whatsapp is checked.

I used to have that "bug" on my i9000 WeUI Phone and now its the same on my new Galaxy Nexus running official MIUI v4...
I think it is a whatsapp-problem and hope they can fix it soon

Is a problem of the rom. I use TsunamICS 1.9 AOKP Milestone5, and whatsapp working very well..

I think un.droid should have explained the bug a lil more detailed..
Its basically that:
Whatsapp running in background -> Push Notifications are working fine!
Whatsapp running in background and cleared from RAM -> Push Notifications are working fine!
Whatsapp stopped by FORCECLOSE etc.. -> Push Notifications are not working and Whatsapp wont revoke itself till you start it again!
And sometimes Whatsapp closes it self after a while of not being used...
So if you leave your phone untouched for a couple of hours the app closes and you wont get any message!

I'm using miui 2.5.11 on SG2, same problem.
the only way i can get messages from people is when i open whatsapp, then i can see i have missed allot of messages.
it is very annoying...

Any specific answer? My whatsapp also failed to push message thru on Samsung I9100. Weird. I still dunno if its rom's fault or app's fault.

Hmm.. U can go in whatsapp settings and enable popup notification...

TheWhisp Cyanogen Mod ROM Build 18/7

I am a new member and I cant post reply to the development thread. So sorry that i have to post a new thread here.
 @TheWhisp I have some comment about the ROM. It works well on everything. ever since i never met wifi tethering problem or white screen
But i two major problem with it. Most game like one of my favourite one 'Spartan Wars: Empire Of Honor' cant be played although i installed adobe flash player and i miss it so much guess theres a problem with the system.
Secondly is although official JB has no suport on flash player but i hope you make a builtin patch of flash player in it instead of us downloading it manually as it is so annoying bout cant play flash on browser.
thirdly, the built in messaging have problem downloading/ auto retrieving mms. i cant download pictures ppl sent to me. the operator just says i have a new mms and have to view it online in computer. however, last time the official GB rom mms works well. beside, i try installing third party sms apps like iphone messages (paid) or go sms pro but they work a while then after few moment or a day, they stop working. when i click on them, a black background just pop up and stay there forever instead of showing to apps interface. hope fix could be done.

[Q] Ultimatum v3 ROM question

I installed Ultimatum rom v3 on friends phone and my phone. My phone working great so far, friends phone has developed an issue receiving txt messages few weeks ago and recently fb and fb messenger are now giving "unknown error" messages. I had him install go sms to try get around the text message problem, it seemed to fix it for few minutes then it stopped working also. I only have text contact with my friend so I need some easy to explain tests or fixes to try. Is there any way to "reset" the ROM back to original without reloading the rom? Any way to fix these app errors without too much difficulty? Any advice would be appreciated.

1. my stamina mod is off
2. i test factory reset , full wipe and .... !! and many ROMS !! but its not fixed !!!
3. one of my friend said to me that its for low memory , he said the ram is near to full and close app automaticly , but its not true because after flashing rom i install JUST viber , line and whatsapp and its hapened again
4. in wifi>advanced>keep wifi on is checked !!! problem not for this
5. i dont have any autoclosing app like Greenify
6. in somewhere i see this :: " Reflash Stock ROM and try Whatsapp only (or Line only or Viber only)" ... but is not solution !! is Postern from problem ! my friends have 11 social app in sametime in iOS and he never have any issue like this

I would also like to tell you an issue that's been happening with xsp since like forever? if u try to make calls through viber you hear the first 5sec or so then the other person stops hearing and me too, was tested between 2 xperias, tried on different roms and stock

Problem with the dr.ketan rom

Hi, I'm using the Note 5 N920I with the dr.ketan l9 rom and arter v11 kernel , since I installed this rom, there was an issue with the facebook messenger app. Specifically, I am unable to make a call via messenger app otherwise I'm still able to receive call form others. And the voice message also didn't work. When I made a 40s voice message, the receiver just can hear around 7s. Someone please help me I love this rom cook a lot but I also use the facebook messenger app everyday. so please :crying:
