Hi!
I have JVC KD-R841BT head unit. I had a Nokia 5800 and works perfectly, but with HTC One no. I try to pair and when the pin code appear on my phone i push accept then nothing happens. On the unit shows the pin code and that's all. I tried to play music from phone and nothing.
I wrote to JVC support, and they told me that my phone do not support some bluetooth profile.
The unit support the following profiles:
Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.5)
Object Push Profile (OPP 1.1)
Phonebook Access Profile (PBAP 1.0)
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP 1.2)
Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP 1.3)
Can you help me? Can i add some bluetooth profiles ?
Thanks for your reply.

Hi folks!
Is there some kind of step by step manual how to get to a working solution for the well known BlueAngel Problem with it's headset connections?
I found a thread talking about some registry tweaks, but that only enables the menu option to send the sounds to the headset, but finally doesn't produce any sounds...
What I want to have is the instructions, given by the Navigon Mobile Navigator 5 beeing transferred to a bluetooth device (a parrot free speach device or a logitech headset).
I am already running ROM 1.4 and tried all various BT versions, but nothing worked..
Thanks for your help,
Balu
err.. I am looking for using bluetooth headset to listen mp3 as well, any help and suggestions?
im trying to figure out how to do that aswell, (listen to media player using bluetooth on my SVP m2000)
me too is there any idea pls
same
You can listen mp3s if your headset supports advanced audio distribution profile and you have PDA2K_BroadcomCorp_BTUpdate.cab installed. But if your "advanced" headset does not support old profiles - you would not be able to use it to listen phone calls.
You CANNOT listen MP3s on normal headsets that support headset and hansdfree profiles. To use these headsets you have to sell PDA2K and buy PDA2.

Can you please provide the list of BT headsets (with make / model numbers) that supports this "advanced audio distribution profile"
ht820 does the job!
I have Motorola HT820 on Orange M2000.
The HT820 supports Hands-Free and High Quality Audio profiles and you can playback audio in stereo via the headphones.
I upgraded the BT stack to 3900 and radio to 1.13 and added the extra profiles (instructions are in the Wiki), and it appears to work as both .
When the phone rings, WMP pauses and the left headset button answers the phone. Once you finish the call and hang up, WMP starts playback again.
The only problem that I still have is with intermittent dropout of the High Quality Audio. Anyone got any clues on curing this?
Got mine for around £60 UK sterling.
Is this an hardware limitation? Is this a ROM limitation? BT stack problem?
GSM phone preempting BT handfree?
If not HW, can we expect an upcoming solution to this?
Or, the only "hard" workaround is to plug a BT adapter (like Jabra A210) to redirect mike/spkr, and to desactivate BA BT.
Christmas tree, like.

Registry
Hi again.
So, we didn't really find a solution yet?
I once read something about a little change to the registry, so that a second profile for the normal BT Headset appears.
I searched but I can't find it again.
does anyone know which post I mean?
If so, can you give me a link to that, because I believe that is the right way to solve the problem...
the key is if your source (pda or notebook) is running BT audio gateway. centrino notebooks supports audio gateway. I have a Jabra BT800 and listens to MP3s played from an HP DV1000 notebook but cannot have it working through my XDA II mini (the latter does not support BT audio gateway)
you might find this helpful => http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...html/wce50conaudiogatewayregistrysettings.asp
dears,
i have a new car with integrated audio car and bluetooth function. fortunatly the audio car only permit me to make phone calls but no possible to hear music from my diamond over bluetooth. Do you believe there is some way to hear music to stream over the hand free like if i am receiving a phone calls ?
best regards
steph
It depends on the type of bluetooth profile that the car uses.
To use it for music, it would need to be A2DP.
With your bluetooth on, try going to the settings screen in touch flo and click Menu > Bluetooth Devices.
Click and hold on the device in the list that is your car. If you have the option to "Set as Wireless Stereo", the car has the A2DP profile. If not, you're SOL.

Hi,
I have bought the Philips SHB 6110 Headset and I can connect it succesfully to my HTC Touch HD.
Hoever I want to use the headset for calling on skype or realated PC software, thus I want to connect the headset to the PC.
I had one bluetooth dongle but it didn't want to connect, I bought another one cheap just to try, Trust Bt-2100p, which comes with a Toshiba stack, however I cannot connect with those ones either.
The Trust dongle supports BT 2.0 + EDR
I think it is because of the profiles, the headset has the following profiles:
Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, Bluetooth stereo
support (A2DP – Advanced Audio
Distribution Profile, AVRCP – Audio Video
Remote Control Profile), Bluetooth mono
support (HSP – Headset Profile, HFP
– Hands-Free Profile)
However, for the bluetooth dongle usually it is not written on the pack which profiles it supports.
Do you think I could try to make it work, or do I need to buy another bluetooth dongle with A2DP?
I just put mine in discovery mode and it find the headset
and it see the profile
I use the ms stack got the usb bluetooth with a ms mouse
with bluetooth
used a bluetake stereo headset before and that worked ok with
the toshiba stack unlike the broadcomm bt stack which would
only do headset not a2dp
Hi All,
I got a bluetooth speaker today for phone calls. I got http://www.amazon.com/LG-HBM-800-Bl...arging/dp/B0024FA6QW/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top. One of the reviews says he can get the audio from the gps navigation on his phone to be played via the bluetooth speaker.
Is this possible on android? I have the speaker synced just fine for calls. Of course it would be very helpful if the GPS worked on these captivates! Hah!

BT devices support different profiles (functions) - some only work with phone functions, others support music and other audio functions. Car bluetooth usually supports both (handsfree profile, and A2DP - streaming audio). Your speaker probably only supports handsfree, so it won't play music or GPS.
Check the speaker specs for what BT profiles it supports.
Try this.
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-AWEP8..._1_4?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1284036082&sr=1-4
This headset does route navigation and other audio to the headset. It was going for $30 - $20MIR until the end of last month. See if it comes up again.

Thanks I learned something new today! I found "Supported Bluetooth profiles: Hands-Free Profile (HFP), Headset Profile (HSP)".
Bummer... Oh well, for $30 I cant complain
I have a LG headset (HBM-235) that is paired to my N1 and works fine for calls. The button brings up the speech command activity when pressed.
The problem is that apps like yahoo and skype (latest versions) only use the internal speaker/mic even though the bluetooth headset is connected.
Is there any way to use my BT headset with these apps? (on CyanogenMod7 nightlies or otherwise) Maybe a third party app ?
A screenshot of the BT options screen is attached.
Note: My interest in this is directly related to the WHO report that cell phone radiation is "possibly carcinogenic to humans." 05/31/2011
update: This app seems to be working. Music is routed correctly will report back about the mic (skype test)
Update 2: did not work with skype
Update3: It looks like I need a A2DP headset that supports the "Media" audio channel and not just the "Phone" audio channel. Since CM7 is not showing me (See the screenshot) the option to enable "Media" audio I guess I'm stuck. Note that this headset works fine as a skype headset on my laptop.
What you need is a A2DP headset, that's one that can send the Media audio (stereo) over BT.
