You will probably need to run a RUU to reset your phone. If you can not find a RUU, post a fastboot getvar all except for the imei and serialno so we can research it.
What custom recovery are you using?

Here is the stock rom 6.09.401.5 you will have to flash it in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB. Copy the file to your adb/fastboot folder and rename it rom.zip. Open a command window on that folder and type:
Code:
[B][I]adb reboot bootloader[/I][/B]
After that, type:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot oem rebootRUU [/I][/B]
NOTE: You should see a silver HTC logo come up on your phone after executing this command.
NOTE: if this command freezes, just disconnect the USB cable and hold the power and volume down buttons until the device reboots. Then, repeat the steps above again.
Finally:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip rom.zip[/I][/B]
Repeat the same command: IMPORTANT
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip rom.zip[/I][/B]
NOTE: The green bar on the phone may not go to 100% of the bar ... but If you see completed on your computer command window, wait for a few seconds and move on.
Last Step:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot reboot[/I][/B]

If you are S-OFF then you would flash it in fastboot. If you are S-ON then you will need to flash this nandroid backup in TWRP. You just need to extract the folder and place it in the folder with the rest of your TWRP backups. If you don't have any, then just get into TWRP and select Backup. Then just copy the file to the same folder as your last backup.

Did you get the nandroid to work or did you try to flash ARHD 53.0 again? You also might try TWRP 2.6.3.3 it seems to work with most roms.
Here is firewater s-off it is the only free one that will work with your high hboot. If you get "whelp that sucks" message then firewater will not work for your phone. You then could try Sunshine S-OFF, however it will cost $25.

Did you make a backup as I instructed? If so, then copy the nandroid extracted folder to your phone in the same directory that backup is in /TWRP/BACKUP/<YOUR SERIALNO>/<NAME OF FOLDER>. Then boot into recovery and select Restore; you should see the extracted folder; select it. This will put your stock rom on your phone. If this doesn't restore your imei then you will need to return the phone to a service center.

I have searched the forums, and I can not find the answer to my specific situation. Please forgive me if it is there somewhere. The story…….
- last working ROM was VIVO ICS official, RUU installed. (RUU_VIVO_ICS_35_S_HTC_WWE_4.10.405.1_Radio_20.74.30.0833U_3831.18.00.11_M_release_266013_signed.exe). HBOOT was changed to 2.02 S-ON, bootloader locked. I unlocked via HTCdev. Before this I had IceColdSandwich 8.1.1, ENG Hboot S-OFF. I had originally used the GB downgrade ROM to S-OFF, and restored IceCold backup after this.
- I wanted to be S-OFF again, and so tried installing this zip using CWM Recovery, following the advice of tpbklake:
vivo_signed_WWE_4.10.405.1_ICS_SENSE36_5.zip Version 1.1
(from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756500&page=1)
- now boot loop. I tried reinstalling other ROMs which I have successfully installed in the past (GB downgrade, stock ICS), and also restore various backups, but all result in boot loop (stuck on white HTC screen). Each time I would use CWM Recovery to clear dalvik, cache etc.
- I have now followed 'fix' instructions in that same thread, ie. :
1. Download the file lib.zip from here: http://bit.ly/PwK4BH
2. Unzip the lib.img and place it on your PC where you have fastboot.exe installed.
3. Boot into FASTBOOT USB mode and then enter the following command:
fastboot flash lib lib.img
4. Download the file format_lib_update.zip from here: http://bit.ly/RIpEUL
5. Copy it to your SD card.
6. Boot into recovery and then install format_lib_update.zip
7. While in recovery format the SYSTEM partition.
8. Then reinstall vivo_signed_WWE_4.10.405.1_ICS_SENSE36_5.zip
But at step 3 I get the following:
C:\adb>fastboot flash lib lib.img
sending 'lib' (155648 KB)...
OKAY [ 27.553s]
writing 'lib'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)

OK, so what is the state of your HBOOT? Are you still HBOOT 2.02.0002 UNLOCKED?
When you are using the an unlocked HTC HBOOT and you flash a custom ROM in CWM, you then manually have to extract the boot.img file from that ROM's zip file and flash it manually in FASTBOOT USB mode. If you don't do that, you will get a boot loop.
What you need to do if you can still get into CWM and the bootloader is still UNLOCKED is reflash that ROM again and then flash the boot.img file in FASTBOOT mode and you should be ok.

Well then you can always relock the bootloader and then run the 4.10.405.1 RUU like you did originally. Then you can unlock the bootloader since you already have the unlock_code.bin file.

Once you get back to that point, unlock the bootloader, install ClockworkMod and then flash su-3.0.7-efghi.zip to root the official ROM. Then you should be able to rerun the downgrade process to get back to S-OFF.

Thanks very much. The stock ICS RUU has now installed successfully. I guess when I originally tried to reinstall it, I had left out the 'RELOCK' step, which is why it failed.
So now I am back to the start (stock ICS + HBOOT 2.02 S-ON), and want to get S-OFF and install your ROM zip. ,What I originally intended to do to get S-OFF was:
1) Unlock the bootloader, flash CWM Recovery, flash SU
2) Run downgrade GB RUU
3) S-off with Revolutionary
4) Install Blackrose HBOOT
5) Install your vivo_signed_WWE_4.10.405.1_ICS_SENSE36_5.zip
But step 2) failed with an unknown error. (I then tried to install your zip, and the rest is the sad history.....).
So what caused step 2 to fail? Did I need to relock the bootloader first?
Many thanks for your help, tpbklake

What is the status of your bootloader? Is it locked, unlocked or relocked? If it is locked you may have to answer n to is the phone rooted to give temp root. If not on page 76 of this post there is the same issue.

And fyi it will not change the h boot version, only the main ver which is reported at the end of the script.

Open a command window and then type in the command:

If you get a # prompt then your ROM is rooted correctly and the script should run. If it doesn't then the ROM isn't properly rooted and the script will fail.
For this quick how-to I will be using the file name Rom.zip as default for the Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.7_encrypted_ROM-1.zip firmware download available from
O.M.J. here (use ENCRYPTED version)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40712553
From fastboot you need to first re-lock your bootloader
fastboot oem lock
Once locked it will boot back into bootloader
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Now your booted to the black HTC screen. Make sure your Rom.zip file is in your adb/fastboot folder
fastboot flash zip Rom.zip
This takes a couple minutes and you will most likely get a error
(pre-hboot update: please flush immediately)
Make sure device is still in ruu mode(black HTC screen). If not rerun
fastboot oem rebootRUU
now simply reflash the rom.zip
fastboot flash zip Rom.zip
Let it run and it should finish this time
It will reboot to a fully stock build.
just remember, anytime you get a "flush immediately" error, just make sure your still in ruu mode and reflash the zip.
The most common error is typically
(Error 155)
You did not re lock your bootloader first
-go relock and flash again
Thanks for the quick how-to. I've done plenty of similar things on all of my old Sammy devices with Odin, but this is my first HTC handset (so glad I made the switch).
bricked my phone, trying to flash it back to stock, hopefully you can help
i can get to bootloader, and can get to fastboot how do i relock bootloader?
fastboot oem lock - what does this mean?
Once locked it will boot back into bootloader
fastboot rebootRUU - is this an option i will see? how will i get the phone to reboot RUU?
Now your booted to the black HTC screen. Make sure your Rom.zip file is in your adb/fastboot folder. How can i get the rom.zip to my adb/fastboot folder
- my phone won't boot it hangs at the green htc screen. I can't mount the phone to add files to it.
thanks in advance

fastboot oem lock <---- this is the cmd u type, u need sdk tools installed
fastboot rebootRUU <----- another cmd u need to type
if u dont have sdk, just grab hasoons all in one toolkit, it will be much easier....another option is to run the RUU from windows (see 2nd link)

Your either not using the correct Rom.zip for your device or your using one that has been decrypted. It has to be a untouched, encrypted Rom.zip.
Thank you all this info is good for when I root it.

Error 90 is a version error I believe. The Rom.zip you are trying to flash is a older firmware than what you are currently using on your device. It could also be a cid/mid mismatch. More info on your device and the firmware your trying to flash is needed to really do anything more than just speculate.
Do you have to relock first if you are s off and unlocked with revone? If so, can you relock using the revone method again?
Also, do you have to extract a separate file inside the ruu zip itself to flash?
Thanks

The RUU changes your CID. You'd have to change it after the RUU. But why not leave it as Super CID? What's the point?

I've flashed older firmware so I don't think that is it. Also, the CID gets changed so it doesn't have to match. He/She should copy/paste where the error occurs for us to have some context.

You should be able to relock in Fastboot using 'fastboot oem lock'
is there a work around for this version yet 1.31.651.2

For this quick how-to I will be using the file name Rom.zip as default for the Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.7_encrypted_ROM-1.zip firmware download available from
O.M.J. here (use ENCRYPTED version)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40712553
From fastboot you need to first re-lock your bootloader
fastboot oem lock
Once locked it will boot back into bootloader
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Now your booted to the black HTC screen. Make sure your Rom.zip file is in your adb/fastboot folder
fastboot flash zip Rom.zip
This takes a couple minutes and you will most likely get a error
(pre-hboot update: please flush immediately)
Make sure device is still in ruu mode(black HTC screen). If not rerun
fastboot oem rebootRUU
now simply reflash the rom.zip
fastboot flash zip Rom.zip
Let it run and it should finish this time
It will reboot to a fully stock build.
just remember, anytime you get a "flush immediately" error, just make sure your still in ruu mode and reflash the zip.

fastboot boot recovery and then do this:
adb shell
echo 1.29.00 | dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p19 bs=1 skip=160
and then just fastboot oem lock and run the RUU
Hey everyone, (((((SOLVED)))))
so here is the situation.
-HTC One Bell Canada
-S on
-Twrp Recovery newest version
-No OS or backup (I accidentally deleted it)
-Windows 7 64bit
-I have fastboot files, adb files/sdk and the 3.23.666.1 Bell mobility RUU zip with no exe
I just want to get my phone back to stock then after i'll reroot and create a backup of stock so I won't have this happen again.
here is what's on my bootloader screen
Tampered
unlocked
hboot 1.55
I have tried a lot of the similar situation fixes on google and here but I couldn't find anything that has put me in a better place.
when I fastboot with
fastboot oem rebootRUU
then
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
I get Error 12 signature verify fail when I try with relocked status
and with unlocked status I get 24 parsing android-info fail
I tried to sideload with twerp and advanced then adb sideload and all I get is error/cannot flash zip.
Also tried installing rumrunner to get my s off but luck either.
I have also tried 4 other RUUs from htcdev and a few other places.
If there is any info you need please ask, thank you in advance.
You guys are my last hope....

Thanks Uxepro, but I have tried to flash with and without the bootloader unlocked. I get 2 different error messages, which I posted originally (12 signature verify and the 24 parsing android info fail).
If there is a step i'm missing could you tell me the step by step just in case I did something stupid.

check @ClydeB1 index thread for all ROMs etc, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438026
Lot's of Sense ROMs available, all of them good, some very close to stock, others with plenty of tweaks... you'll just have to read a bit, and try a few to see which one works for you.
I'm personally using ARHD 51.0 at the moment and loving it; but that is a personal choice.... you need to try a few to see what works for you
Since you have twrp recovery, you can restore a nandroid backup http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-nandroid-downloads/ has a collection. these are stock backups, or any nandroid will work. Once the backup restored and the phone booted, go back to twrp and you can flash any rom if you want.
I had the same situation before and that's how I solved it, that if you prefer custom roms to just being stock.

First off the file your using is not a RUU it's an OTA
OTA M7 UL JB43 SENSE50 MR BM 3.23.666.1-1.29.666.17 R Release
their not the same thing OTA is flashed with a stock recovery on a Stock phone.
The nandroid backup / restore is your best bet at this point

it will look like this without the *****

if you extract the zip to a folder named "nanbackup'' and you move that folder in your adb/fastboot folder then i think the right command should be:
Code:
adb push nanbackup /data/media/0/TWRP/BACKUPS/HT********/nanbackup/
note the space between nanbackup and /data/......
and you should be able to see the backup in twrp after the push is completed
Maybe @CiSa can confirm that before you proceed...

Could be a bad download.
Try a different USB port...USB 2 work best.

So I checked again and I was wrong, I'm not S-Off...that was my other HTC ONE, I thought I'd done the same to this one.
But Now I'm having problems...I want to do a firmware update to fix Viper 7.0.1 issues with data/connectivity but it's still not letting me.
Will I be able to flash the updated firmware in the full version with S-On?
I've being running RumRunner all day on different computers and different usb ports...still no luck

Try Firewater for s-off.
Yes you can flash the Full Firmware while s-on but you will have to re-lock your bootloader to do so which means unlocking again and wiping your phone.

Put the firewater file in your adb/fastboot/platform tools folder, open a cmd window then copy and paste the commands on the firewater site.

everything worked out, got it all working, thanks!
I have a HTC one m7 801s Model: PN07140. With S-ON.
Bootloader is UNLOCKED and installed TWRP version openrecovery-twrp-2.8.0.2-m7ul.img (others don't detect USB OTG).
When istalling the ROM there is an option to check information of the System (Picture 1 Attached). Give -1 MB ! Is that NORMAL
Now i RELOCK bootloader and try to install STOCK rom
I use this FILE :
1. OTA_M7_UL_JB43_SENSE55_MR_hTC_Asia_HK_3.63.708.3-2.24.708.4_release_339322l8015akovncw94nh.zip
2. PN07IMG_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_hTC_Asia_HK_7.18.708.2_Radio_4T.35.3218.29_10.33R.1718.01L_release_420559_signed.zip
But both fails as below:
I use Special Fastboot driver
D:\--- MOBILE\HTC\M7\special Htc fastboot driver\special Htc fastboot driver>fas
tboot oem rebootRUU
... (bootloader) Start Verify: 3
OKAY
Execution time is 40(ms)
D:\--- MOBILE\HTC\M7\special Htc fastboot driver\special Htc fastboot driver>fas
tboot flash zip PN07IMG.zip
sending 'zip'... (788977 KB) OKAY
sending time = 34.950 secs
writing 'zip'... (bootloader) signature checking...
FAIL12 signature verify fail
FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
Execution time is 118(s)

Is your storage correctly detected when in twrp install menu or showing 0MB ?

First file is an ota update, will not help, its only a patch not a complete software. This one for example is the update from 2.24.708.4 to 3.63.708.3...
Second file is a ruu and should work. What is your "fastboot getvar all"? Are you using htc_fastboot.exe to flash this ruu or the normal fastboot.exe?
I use Special Fastboot driver

What do you mean exactly? You don't have to use any "special" fastboot drivers. Make sure you have the latest HTC drivers installed on your computer and that you have the latest sdk tools (adb and fastboot) along with htc_fastboot.exe to flash the ruu.
