Hi,
I have looked all over for an answer on this. I can't get Xposed to install on a secondary account on my device. Is this possible, or a restriction of Xposed?

Xposed should install globally from any use account so long as you have root
It's system wide

Sorry, I thought I replied to this.
No it is not working. I can not get it to work on my galaxy note 10.1 2014, or my nexus 7 2012 device. I am trying to install a module on a secondary account, but have no way of activating that module. When I try to install xposed on the secondary account it throws up an error.
And can I mention that the particular modules work fine on the primary account, and the devices have root.
I found what I believe to be the issue
Secondary users don't have root
And I noticed the cm11 theme engine doesn't work well on second accounts, only keeping the framework-res changes, and not the icons or fonts or anything else, which leads me to believe that xposed is limited to the same thing
Multi-User support is very lacking in the root world

This bug must be about modules are clushing ır crossing i don't know which word can explain it, let me introduce you; for example you are using there module for status bar, they all trying to modify status bar but this situation causing excaption or something similar. I don't know i was wrote what was in my brain because my English is is little bit bad ?, so you can reinstall it but do not forget intalling that modules supporting lollipop.
Does xposed framework supported on mediatek like karbonn s5+. I searched about it and got
"Xposed framework is an AOSP framework for ARM devices. One of the things you can do with the framework is download a module that allows you to set DPI for any application. That allows you to choose tablet mode for an app, or simply make the text look more to your liking for anything, There are many other modules available."
If it work anyone's mediatek like karbonn titanium s5 plus then please tell me the procedure of making xprivacy module work on this device.

I have a Casper VIA V5 ,which have Meditek processor, and i am using it without any error, so i can say it's working like a charm?
Edit:Casper never given me any source code of phone, i wanted this from them to build my own CyanogenMod so i find Xposed for customizing firmware of my ROM. My phone has Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and Xposed which work perfect with its firmware
Hello everybody, I am Brazilian and I had a very strange problem on my phone after installing GravityBox module. Well, GravityBox is not working until I install Framework for recovery, after that, I managed to open it, but unexpected things occurred in my smarphone. Once opened, the notification bar Transparante was a very strange way and my phone stopped recognize yourself the network ad-hoc wifi I created in my windows.
I believe the bug occurs because of my rom, as I use a galaxy, it came with a TouchWiz.
If they can give me more information, I will be grateful!
Note: Ignore my English, I know it's horrible.
My phone is Samsung Galaxy Gran Prime Duos, SM-G530BT model, we can suggest me one custom rom, I'll be even more grateful!
Please, if this is the wrong area to the topic, excuse me.
You must install Xposed before installing any modules like GravityBox. I don't know what will happen if you do it backwards, but it could be bad.
Also, in order to use Xposed at all on that device, you must have a deodexed ROM and use one of the unofficial versions of Xposed.
What ROM do you have (including version number)? What exact Xposed files did you install, what recovery did you use, and how did you do it? Were there any error messages during installation? Are there any error messages in the Xposed log? What version of GravityBox did you install?
Have you tried uninstalling GravityBox, and reinstalling it correctly through Xposed?
Last I heard Samsung and touchwiz needs a special version.
From the Gravity Box thread:
- Samsung Touchwiz, HTC Sense, MIUI, LeWa, etc. are NOT supported. It is not guaranteed this module will work on these at all so try at your own risk. This module is simply too complex to support all kind of ROM brands that were vastly modified by vendors.
- DO NOT USE WITH CUSTOM ROMS LIKE CM,AOSPA,ROOTBOX,AOKP,SLIM, ETC... IT MAKES NO SENSE AND CAN CAUSE CONFLICTS AND UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

So if you want to use Gravity Box it would be better if you had an AOSP rom but you have a Samsung phone so I don't think you will find one...
I have an app which asks for permission to my contacts in order to start. (She is installed but won't work until ill give her the permission for my contacts).
Is there any way to make her think she has Permissions to my contacts without giving her?
Or to hide the real contacts so she won't be able to see them?
I looked around and saw Xprivacy but I have no root so is there any other option?
Thank You

That app is a big no-no here on xda, so i suggest you edit your post and remove it.
Can you provide more details, like your device and your android version? Xprivacy works up to marshmallow, if you're on Nougat you can try xposed extension protect my privacy, but i think it requires root too.
Since your have xposed installed, why don't you install root? I'm assuming you have a custom recovery to flash xposed so root should not be an issue.

Sorry, but I've seen your post in the xposed general forums, so i assumed you were looking for a n xposed related solution.
I do remember an app that used to decompile and recompile apks while removing permission requirement, but that was old and i can not remember the exact name, maybe try an app that gives you access to appOps on your rom to control access from there?

Most modules are not upgraded since year 2013 ? Is it safe to use same ?
https://www.xda-developers.com/best-xposed-modules/
Most modules are not upgraded since ages ?
Yet the thread is posted as latest 2018 best modules ?
Tried all and mobile wont boot now.. lol..
I have results of latest modules displayed on the post, but not yet upgraded since ages.
Except greenfly or few.. Though listed..
Are these modules still safe to use with latest technology ?
Thanks,
Request reply from advanced person and request to pin after my reply.
I still love XDA but a question.
Noone on XDA team to reply same ?
ITs weird.. ?
Made other replies in respective topics..
But that is xposed and still xposed ?
UHHH..
It really depends on what Android version are you using.
Sometimes even if the modules are really old they still works.
You can try install them one by one, so if you end up in a bootloop you know exactly what module caused it.
In case of bootloop if you're using Xposed systemless just uninstall xposed module from recovey (with uninmod or magisk mm) and delete the xposed apps once it boots with xposed disabled
If you're using system version of xposed, browse from twrp to the modules folder and delete the module by hand
Or just search on xda, there are threads where people post which module works on each version of Android

Safe?? In general, yes. Module specific - no different than the day module was born.
Stability is a completely different animal with numerous variables in play using "latest technology". Do your homework; seek community input on modules in question. Know how to recover from module failures and bootloops. Maybe consider a backup; I heard they're a good idea.
NFC Screen Off
Read NFC tags when screen is off.
Disable NFC tagging sound.
Tap to pay when screen is off.
ALWAYS include Magisk installation logs when posting an issue.
Useful integrations: NFC Card Emulator Pro - Tasker
Installation metrics: Grafana dashboard
How does it work?
The NFC app is patched during installation into a `modded` version. This `modded` version is injected at boot time by service.sh so that the phone thinks the screen is always on and unlocked.
This patch only applies to NFC Service so it does not impact any other functionality of the phone that involves screen state detection.
The `modded` app was generated using this method.
Help section
MY NFC IS NOT DETECTED ANYMORE
If you did not unlock your device since last boot, unlock it and wait 30 seconds for the module to be loaded.
After that time, if NFC does not start automatically or manually, it means that the patch does not work for your device. You can uninstall the module and create an issue.
I AM STUCK IN A BOOTLOOP
Remove the module manually.
1. Boot into TWRP
1. Advanced -> File Manager
1. Delete /adb/modules/NFCScreenOff
1. Reboot
THE MODULE IS NOT WORKING SINCE LAST UPDATE
Perform a clean reinstallation.
1. Uninstall the module
1. Reboot
1. Install the module
1. Reboot
If it does not solve your problem, you can create an issue.
I LIKE THE MODULE
Only for rooted devices ok?

Not yet. It's on the To-Do list.
Thanks for enabling this option.
It may not necessarily be a bad thing that it breaks safety net.
Enabling mobile payments while phone is locked is NOT a good idea. Your phone will be vulnerable to money theft with some special NFC devices. They can get close to your phone while it is in your pocket or purse and that is enough for them to steal your money.

Yes it should continue to work normally with Google Pay.
What I meant in the description of the module is:
For now, it only works for reading NFC tags. For payments in stores, the phone still needs to be at least on. If the module is working for tags but breaks your payments, leave a comment.
Is it the case for you? The module works for NFC tags but the payments are broken?
What are your specs (device, rom, android version)?

Exactly. I tried paying but nothing happens, like if nfc didn't exists on my phone. I desinstalled the module and I could pay again. Paying is more important than reading nfc tags for me !

Thanks for the logs. Can you send those files to me:
/system/app/NxpNfcNci/NxpNfcNci.apk
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
I will do a version for people with NxpNfcNci app (I guess it is OnePlus customized NfcService).
My stock Xiaomi ROM had a NQNfcNci app.

Not the same guy, but also using Oneplus. It installed successfully but doesn't seem to be working.
Is it possible to modify the installation script to account for ncinfc with other names? For instance on the Razer phone 2 it is named NQNFCnci so the script can't find it

From what I understand from feedbacks, the apk app can have several names:
NfcNci
NQNfcNci
NpxNfcNci
Those names do not depend of the device but depend of the ROM.
Two apk with the same name will in fact be different. They are very related to the framework of the ROM.
Loading an APK from another ROM even if it is the same Android version will have little chance to work.
I cannot detect all the specs of the device. Magisk only gives me the Android SDK Version that's all.
I could make an apk for every ROM.
2 possibilities:
- Zip framework.apk + (NQ/Npx)NfcNci.apk, send it to a server. The server will return a custom apk just for your ROM. This is the one that Magisk will use.
- Build the custom APK directly on the phone, but I cannot find how to run apktools, jarsigner, etc on Android (because there is no JAVA env on Android)

Yes I extracted the zip and modified the customize/service.sh scripts to properly work with my rom and as you stated it did not work. as soon as the script killed the nfc service it triggered a reboot to recovery.
I PM'd you a gdrive link to the stock apk's from the razer phone 2 Pi stock rom. If you have some time would please build it for me? I tried to do it myself a while ago but ran out of steam before i even got all the dependencies running on my computer lol. I can modify your magisk package to work with it myself.
I like your idea of a server that automatically runs the process to patch the apk. Would every use need to upload both the framework.apk and nfcnci or just the nfc? The only concern I would have is bandwithd as the framework apk is 30+ MB's. If you could build the server into a docker container I think it would be easy enough for others to host you could probably find some people willing to host it for free. Another option could be using a google drive account to allow people to upload the apk's for their phone then batch process them all and sort them by model/build # or something to cover most phones/roms . I have a gapps for business account with unlimited storage I could probably lend for this purpose
Once again thanks for all your work! If you have a bitcoin address i'd like to buy you a beer
