I have a 2013 Moto X for Verizon, I have seen people downgrade other carriers and below 4.4.4. I was wondering if I could downgrade and if so how? I tried using RSD Lite and manually through adb but all have just caused my phone to wipe data. Any info on this would be great.

Very high probability that attempting to downgrade from 4.4.4 will = brick, either now or in the future.

ok so i posted a thread not long ago about this, now the answers helped, but not to the full extent. anyways the link they sent me to was
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/ref-how-to-root-4-4-links-guides-t2603358
it helped but in the device variants for XT1058 it said
"XT1058 - AT&T, Rogers, Claro, Movistar, Vivo, Oi, TIM - Sim Unlocked "
now i noticed Telcel isn't on the list? if i wanted to root my phone would the Claro or Movistar methods work? or all the XT1058 have the same methods?
Not sure if the blocking out was necessary but here is the box

Your stuck on 4.4.2. There is no way to root a xt-1058 (bootloader locked) at this time. Your gonna have to wait, and downgrading is not an option as the 4.4.2 bootloader 30 b4 has a security option that doesn't allow a downgrade. That's the latest I've been reading.
I have a new update. I believe somebody have already installed. Hope so. Is this working with a cell rooted?

I have to assume that that is a 4.4.2 update.has far as I have been able to tell, if you rooted using SlapMyMoto and WPNoMo, then update, you will retain root access but lose your ability to disable write protection via rebooting into recovery.
Mmm i have unlocked bootloader with root through cwm.

hello,
i tried to update my phone's system via ota and got error when applying update on recovery. i tried the same way several times with no luck either with stock or philz recovery.
is this because of my phone's oem is unlocked or rooted?
is there a way to flash the ota package manually since i have captured the update.zip package from /cache folder?
thank you.

Nevermind
XDA is a good forum. I find many useful information for Android though I never once got solution for any of my questions. In fact, I got solutions from other website for my problems. Nevertheless, thanks to XDA.
Well... I could fix it myself.

Hi Guys
I've N920CD Non Rooted. There is no MM in my region. About 2 weeks ago I flashed MID MM Firmware. All goes well. But using it for about half month i found couple of problems in it so I decided to go back to LP. So question is how to proceed? Is downgrading from MM to LP is possible? If yes then How?should I simply flash a LP Firmware or there is something extra to do?Plz Tell me.

oem is off in settings and i cant unlock bootloader.
phone version is: blur_version 24.201.5.thea reteu
my phone wont accept any version with fastboot command from firmware.center.
can phone accept fastboot flashing even if bootloader locked? if yes maybe i need same version or higher. if no whats the solution?
