hello
awhile ago i successfully installed cm11 on the kindle fire hd 7. i used it for few weeks and then left it alone.i haven't used it for a couple months, so when i tried turning it on, the device would not get past the first kindle fire logo, then shuts off. its very weird, i left it for like a whole day on charge, and it randomly booted up and then shuts down. i tryed fastboot and after connecting it for couple seconds turns off as well. my conclusion that its charging , and mother board is still good, but wont boot past first kindle fire logo. its not bricked because the last time i used it, the device was running cm11 perfectly. can anyone help me out?

When you power it on and it turns off after the first Kindle Fire logo (the orange one), does it immediately turn back on? And when you plug in your fastboot cable, does it display "Kindle Fire fastboot"?
Sometimes it just stays turned off and other times it reboots again to orange logo and shuts off. When I plug in fastboot cable I see fastboot logo for couples seconds and then disappears
Battery sounds toasted

I opened kindle fire hd and replaced battery. Kindle was working fine but the old battery would not stay charged for more than an two hours unless plugged in, so I replaced battery. Kindle Fire powered on and new battery stayed charged all day but is stuck at the orange arrow swipe screen. I have done the hard boot by holding power button for 20 seconds and it reboots but still touch screen is unresponsive and also tried with it connected to laptop, no luck.

Is it possible that you unplugged or damaged the touchscreen controller?

I think i know what's going on here, In any KFHD if you charge the device using a wall charger with current output less than 1800mA The touch screen becomes unresponsive while charging, I think that's because the device rely completely on external power source instead of the battery during charging and if this power source is not enough the touch screen doesn't work, I think the battery you put in the KFHD has a lower current output than the original, Try replacing it. Also can you please take a picture of both batteries, make sure the text on the batteries is clear?
Thanks

I am having a similar problem. I had the same problem with the battery not holding a charge, so I bought a new battery. Now the new battery does not power the screen. If I want it bright enough to see, I need to have it plugged in. It started out flickering for a few seconds before becoming clear. After 4-5 days, the flickering doesn't go away.. I'm pretty sure I used the correct charger.
Left kindle fire HD 7" (rooted) on my dresser for 3 months without playing with it, and the battery went dead. Plugged it in and the power light turns green it turns on for a micro second with the yellow triangle with a flame in it. and then shuts back off. and then turns back on for a second and back off. screen actually turns off in between.
The reason I wonder if this is not a boot loop is because in my experiencing there is no shutting off of the device on a bootloop. That may not be true. Also the thing wont turn on at all if not plugged in to the wall.

Ok I figured it out. It was the charger. Standard Kindle charger, but I put the same Kindle on my HTC ONE charger and it booted up fine.
So, to answer my own question. I was not boot loop, the kindle fire was just turning on and shutting off repeatedly.
I have an Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 inch tablet. I tried to install cm10 and it would only boot about every four tries so I decided to go back to the Amazon OS. After I flashed it back with the srt tool, it now only boots with kindle fire logo for about four seconds and blinks the logo again in a bootloop. I bought a usb fastboot cable. I bout the n2a cable that was recommended in the forum but it still boots the same thing while plugged in. Am I out of options? Thanks in advance.
I forgot to mention it's the kindle 2012 version.

Hold the power button for 30 seconds until it powers off. Now plug the Factbook cord into the tablet and now you USB port. The tablet should energize into Factbook mode automatically.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I've tried to no avail. I've even removed the back and unplugged the battery to make sure it was off. It turns on to the kindle fire logo even still. I have the motorola/kindle fire fast boot cable. I would purchase scoprn's cable but I don't want to waste my money if it's not the cable. The fast boot cable I bought was used by others users in this forum successfully. It's weird though, everyone seems to suggest that if it boots and is showing something then it's not bricked. I just don't what my options are at this point.

I recomend the adapter by blackhat i think hashcode has posted in his 2nd bootloader thread, goes in between a normal cable and the plug on the kindle.

Thanks for the suggestion. That's the one I purchased over the weekend. Hope it works.
I cannot seem to find any help with this one anywhere so I am starting a new thread.
Basically I have a Kindle Fire HD 7" Tate that shuts itself down after loading either the normal Kindle Fire boot logo OR when entering Fastboot. It stays on in Fastboot for about 3 seconds and then switches off and continues to loop while the factory cable is plugged in.
If I have the normal cable plugged in, boots to Kindle Fire screen (no animation) and then shuts down. Power button unresponsive.
Any ideas? I have managed to load the bootloader, recovery and boot stock via fastboot in time before it shuts down again but this has not helped.
I've requested that this be moved to Kindle Fire HD 7" Q and A

You might want to recharge the battery with normal USB cable.

Tried leaving it on charge overnight, still the same thing. It occasionally goes to red triangle in a boot loop so I don't think all is lost. I was wondering if it were possible to reflash the xloader partitions but I cant seem to find the file I need.
It seems that the battery is not charging. I managed to get the Kindle to stay on long enough for bootloader, boot and recovery to be flashed via fastboot but then the battery seemed to die mid way through flashing system. I am going to try and put the battery in another KFHD and charge it, see what happens.
Looks like I have found the problem, the power button board is faulty. The Kindle has suffered some water damage by the looks of it. Unplugged the connections to the headphone board and all is working and I am able to reflash via fastboot without it turning off
I found my old kindle fire 7 that hasn't been turned on since i lost it while moving back in 2016, I've been trying to bring it back to life for a month now and still no luck. i even got a amazon echo so i could try the factory amazon cord and it still wont work. But there was this one night i had it plugged up and it turned on, i left it alone for like 30 minutes and it was still on the boot logo, A hour later and itstill was on the boot logo. so at least i know it still works but any suggestions?
