So my radio came in today and android auto doesn't work. It says my phone was not compatible. I have a rooted note 4 running android 5.0.2 (cm 12). I also used my fiancée sg5 with the new stock 5.0 and it still doesn't work! Anybody care to help?
Anybody?
Did you try calling pioneer?
I'm having the same issue. I have a rooted T-Mobile LG G3 running 5.0.
I thought I was the only one

Close on the weekend
There are YouTube videos of car audio installers using it so it has to work
Same here, I have an HTC One M8 rooted and its not working for me either. I read the manual and apparently you need a CD-MU200 interface cable from pioneer. Don't know if that's bulls**t or not, but we'll find out. I have the USB setup so that I can use the built-in port in my car. I don't know if that's what the reason is or not. I'll have to call pioneer on Monday.

Well that's three people with the same problem
I think you need the Google apps loaded for one thing, and having an account enabled may be even better.
Lollipop is essential at this time, and I think 5.1 is even better.
Nexus also has a better chance of working.
I am trying to get developer mode working and I am mainly using my Nexus 7 2012 w/ 5.1 because my 2013 N7 and N9 both are still on 5.0.
But its just about api21 that AA runs on. 5.1 has api22 and its confirmed AA is working on "normal" lollipop, I mean 5.0.x
I'm running 5.0.1 on my M8 and Android Auto isn't working

Also it's important to have latest GMS installed.

Check version you need, download it and install. I can bet all of you have old versions (as I was surprised some time ago that it's not updating and I was stuck on 6.x when for months there was 7.x available)

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I went on the reviews for android auto app on Google play and it seems a lot of other people are having the same issue.
Theres a new update on pioneer site, but didn't fix problem.
Maybe
You can generally find the Android Auto button located on the home screen of your car's digital display. How to navigate to the home screen will vary by manufacturer, so check your car's user guide.
I plugged in my phone, found the Android Auto button, but it won't open.
If this is the first time you’re using Android Auto in a particular car, be sure to unlock your phone and accept the terms and conditions on your phone’s screen after you’ve connected and touched the Android Auto button on your display.
Also, make sure that the "Only connect to known cars" setting in the Android Auto app is unchecked.
The voice command button takes me out of Android Auto.
My USB cable isn't working.
Not all USB cables will work with all cars. Your car's user guide should have information about the best USB cable to connect your phone to the display.

Yup, I still updated but no change.
running beanstalk 6.1
My IR blaster doesn't work. I took another phones camera and pointed it at the sensor and see no light. I haven't tried on any other roms or stock but was wondering if there is a fix for this or if it's a hardware related issue?

If the issue came out along with latest version, then I'd suggest downgrading to last known working version.
What country are you in?
same problem

hey, i have been having the same problem. i thought it was the hardware.
This phone has the most unstable GPS I've used in my entire life of keeping smartphones. It would occasionally have glitches on Nougat but on Oreo the compass just keeps on rotating, not able to determine the correct direction.
Hell a cheaper Galaxy has better GPS functionality compared to the 3T honestly. When it works, it works but when it doesn't it just keeps on switching positions.
The only fix I have been able to find is using the debrick tool to completely refresh my smartphone and then directly updating to Oreo after using the GPS on Marshmallow for a while. Now, it works but still has those occasional hiccups. Still, far better than what I had earlier on Nougat! So maybe try that.
EDIT:
Also fixed the blue dot not moving when I am driving.

Hi, i somehow fix the issue though not permanently. I disable maps app and then enable it again. It seem to work fine now. After the same problem persist i fix the issue by doing the above step.
I don't get it whether there is a problem in one plus 3T hardware or the google maps.

I figured as much, but wanted to confirm; since 5.0.2 is intended for India.

If it's from the latest update, then it's probably the ROM update, not the hardware or Google Maps.
Folks (including myself) had a very similar issue with 5.0.0, but was fixed with 5.0.1. OnePlus somehow broke the aGPS data, in that case; and then fixed it with the subsequent release. So maybe new aGPS data is downloaded when you disable/enable Google Maps (just a guess)?
A member made a (partial) fix at the time (5.0.0), but I have no idea if this will play well with 5.0.2, and it hasn't been updated for some time. Also requires TWRP to flash: https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...pps--mods/aroma-region-based-gps-fix-t3683548
In any case, it wasn't a silver bullet solution. But at least seemed to help for me, at the time. If your workaround is satisfactory, you might just stick with that for now.
You might also try downgrading to 5.0.1, at your own risk and discretion, of course.
Since latest patch I can't get to seem get a lock at all unless I turn on my WiFi. Any one else facing this issue?
I wish I read this before updating... same issue here
One more same one. I've had this issue since last week. I don't know if there was that issue before last week. Last week, i turned GPS on and runned Google Maps. Somehow, the app couldn't find my location. But when i set the GPS mode as "Only device" , it works. In my opinion this issue is caused by software bug.
Actually this issue for me was happening when I was in September patch. I haven't tested the GPS in October patch

Hello everyone,
I recently bought a galaxy s10, and decided to root it to get all the magisk goodness. But it turned out my NFC payment app cannot be downloaded from the app store (and of course unavailable to download elsewhere), so I decided to switch back to stock ROM, until some improvements and better roms show up here in the next months.
But I encountered a problem regarding S Health. I downloaded the patched apk by xpirt on xda, the app works, but the heart rate monitor, spo2, glucose and blood pressure sensors doesn't show up anywhere.
I tested my sensors with the *#0*#, and the HRM sensor work flawlessly. But there's no option to use it in S Health.
I also downloaded the "My BP Lab" app to test the blood pressure sensor, and the app says that "sensor does not exist on this device".
I also switched back to the rooted rom with magisk, edited the build.prop, same results.
I read here that :
Stress, SpO2, blood glucose and blood pressure measurements are disabled in the following countries: AO, ZA, GB, FR, AT, HU, CZ, GR, SI, DZ, TH, CA, CY, JP.

Which of course, I live in France, and therefore I have a French CSC (XEF to be more precise, maybe it is available in another CSC ?). But, this info may be outdated since there seems to be support for those sensors on the french version of Samsung's website.
Does anyone here managed to use the sensors in the S health app with the magisk root ?
What solution can you suggest me ? I thought about flashing a different CSC in order to trick my phone to think it is not region locked, but i'm unsure of its positive or negative consequences.

Yes definitely, but it seems like it is possible to get those sensors working, based on the comments in the patched S health apk post. Does your sensors works in S health ?
