My device is not very old. It's about 1 year now and battery isn't as good as it used to be. When I got it after school I had minimum 50% no matter what I've been doing and atm it's 24% which is disturbing.

Check for battery health in 7378423 to see if it had any wear out in battery capacity. Mine is 31460 (1+ year, when buy it is 32000, Sony is always add more to make the battery last longer )
And check for any apps that run out of battery, malware too (There are some Android malware which mine Bitcoin/Litecoin and make phone hot and run out of battery)
Also check your kernel setting or reflash ROM if nessesary.......
Mine is 1,5-2 day battery life with typical behavior.......
Well, my battery says 31440 when at 86% of charge. I haven't got many wake locks in betterbatterystats either so I'm not sure what could be the cause. I'm on stock kernel. Thanks for the heads up on that mining malware. I had no idea it went over to mobile devices. My phone actually gets a bit hot after some regular usage, but nothing out of ordinary I guess. I did lots of mods to the stock rom on my own so I'm not that keen on reflashing. I'd rather find out what could be the cause of that poor battery life and fix it by myself.
Any other suggestions and things to try?
You can reinstall your Firmware, and see if the battery life would be better. And my Wakelocks have i solved with the App DS Battery Saver.
Strangely enogh my battery was at 2880 after only 140 charge cycles.
Then by accidient it deep discharged (problems with not charging, hard reset etc. until it was fully 100% dead) and now is back at 3130 with only the first charge cycle counted as 1.
Not the case here since your's has a good number, but I wanted to add this information.

Hello,
It's been some time and some devices since I was wannted to try this dirty hack. My good old GT-P6800 has successfully avoided this fate, my SM-T705 has not.
So, the theory is like that. You can connect virtually any Li-Ion batteries by attaching plus to plus and minus to minus and achieving and thus capacities will be summed.
So, I purchased a battery from aliexpress.com an attached it to original battery wires red to red, black to black.
Then I had to cut a rectangle hole in tablet's back housing cover to let it close with that battery onboard. To protect battery (li-ion battery has to be protected) I use TPU cover.
It looks like that

And the actual effect
Now, from original 6-7 hours I got 15-18 hours on battery, while time to charge to top is now somewhere about 7-7.5 hours.
Need to mention, that original capacity calculation algorithm based on MAX17050 chip is adapted for original battery (obviously), so has to be overridden with custom software patch to kernel.
I agree, this mod isn't aimed to mass user, but the experience itself I find really interesting.
18hours screen on time? This looks really cool. But hey now you got and extra 8-9 hours of spare battery
-DUHA
I would say extra 10-12 hours.
wow that is one hard core mod! How long does it take to charge it to full?
Oh, totally forgot to mention, about 7 hours.
Hi, i know it's a 5 year post. What happended to green wires ? and i think the battery you used had just black and red cables?
Hi, I know I am necroposting and I'm sorry for that. But how do I inform the kernel of the new capacity?

I think he doesn't. It should work fine without any extra settings.
Hi, I've got my g watch r for a few days now, and I get very inconsistent battery life.
For example yesterday I've had 2,5%/h, today I've got 11%/h... With no settings changed... Just switched it to theater mode over night on the charger.
I've always on, with a very minimal watch face. No tilt to wake. Not very much notifications and no heavy usage....
What can I do to analyse the battery usage? I have wear battery stats, but that doesn't give very detailed information...

Update your AW app on phone then restart your watch at the begining, then observe your battery life.

I had the most recent version of Android Wear already installed, I restarted the watch now, let's see.

Have you this version: 1.1.1.1889093? I had that same problem like you and update solved my problem.
Yes I do, but to what should I update? This is the most recent version?
After the restart it seems better.
Yes it is the newest version.
Hmm, go into the Android Wear and under setting click your watch and then battery usage. For me the battery usage is really bad since the last updates, hopefully android wear 5.1 will fix it (hmm i think we will get it in 5weeks or so, because google hates us).
I noticed that when charged using laptop the charge went down little quickly than when charged with wall charger.
Hey guys, my Moto X used to be able to get OK battery, but since the 7.5 update, I lose 15-20% over a five hour period, which is quite disappointing. any fixes?

All of a sudden for me too, GPS is now eating up to 15% of my battery and the Android OS is at 11%... I noticed this this morning. The only thing I installed last night was Greenify...
Quite similar to what I have. Android system and Android os always on top

This is new for me. I normally have pretty crap battery life but services and OS are normally never this high. The battery on my phone is so hit or miss. It 's behavior seriously changes daily. I don't get it.

By the way, it got me to 8.30pm yesterday before I had to charge. As bad and inconsistent the battery is, at the very least I can say it gets me to dinner without too much babying. I'm just concerned when it drains much quicker than usual which means I can't use it as much for it to survive.
Hi,
Is this normal battery? No motion sense/90 htz/location etc.
All background activity halted.
Strange...
Thanks in advance

@Openfire72
Yes, after 185 charge cycles your battery's capacity is (permanently) down to 90% of the original battery capacity. That is if the original capacity was only 3,700 mAh. Most P4XL batteries start out higher than that, so your capacity loss is probably greater. My replacement P4XL is still at 106% of the "original" capacity... which is basically the Google specified capacity. Since you use AB, you know you should try to NOT charge the battery much over ~80% and you will save a TON of battery wear cycles. I generally start charging around 20-25% and run it up to 80 or 85 (+60%). The battery wear cycle for this is about 0.22. In your screenshot, one of your charge sessions was from 57-100% costing you a 0.91 wear cycles. That means I can charge my battery 4 times (0.88) and still have less battery wear than your one charge (0.91). If you want to retain your remaining battery capacity as long as possible, try keeping to this 20-80 regimen as much as you can.
EDIT: Scroll down the health tab and post a screen of your scatter chart which will show you graphically your charging habits over time.
EDIT2: In the attached screenshot look at the battery wear cycles vs "added charge" On the bottom charge cycle, I added 67% charge at a penalty of only 0.22 battery wear cycle.
Hi, and thanks for your help on this as it's greatly appreciated. The phone gets paid off next month and after two years there's nothing I like apart from this device. I'll prob get a new battery!!! Great phones despite the small battery....I wasn't bothered about the ultrawide as I don't use one, but if they'd just stuck a bigger battery in....if!
I just want to say that the Motorola had an incredible battery life!
I am on my third day using this phone and i have about 50% left with almost 6 hours SOT! Coming from an iPhone 13 Pro Max, this is awesome battery life
P.S. ik What the spikes are in the graph, but i didnt charge the phone whatsoever!
What battery performance do you guys get?

As a Motorola users for a long time, this is pretty normal actually. Motorola phones have excellent battery life - way better than iPhones. Iphone users are just over exaggerating that they have good battery. Add to the fact that most of them haven't used a flagship Android device or if they once did, it would most likely be a Samsung.

Auto my dear. If you live with wifi and 4G on, you will never understand those numbers. Start with these first

This is from last night and this morning. Brightness is in between 10 - 30%.
Great
ok thank you
Hi, how much SOT Can do Moto on mobile data? Thanks for rep.
Bluetooth and 4g all the time
from what i see battery life is good on wifi, when using mobile data it's not so good anymore, someone uses two sim cards and only mobile data and could show their battery stats
I got additional 2 hours of battery life when I disabled 5G, excellent.
Personally my phone's battery is so bad. I mean it lasts long enough but it just suddenly turn off at 20 or 18 or so. Other times it acts normally. Sometimes when I charge it, the battery percentage would stay at 100 for hours, then it starts going down and at 40 the phone dies
8hs aprox
