This is my first post so please bear my English.
I've Got a galaxy s3 i9305 with jellybean 4.3 installed. i Root it and installed some aosp roms like Cyanogenmod 11 Official, Liquid Smooth and Pacrom rc1. Phone was working well with cm11 and liquid smooth but when i installed pacrom i see a message that "NEW KERNEL DETECTED, PAC Values Will NOT BE APPLIED" and after that NO IMEI, NO baseband. :crying:
tried Every soloution like restored efs with qpst, efs tools. used param repair, adb repair but no luck.
NOW the situation is when i restart my phone imei and baseband appears sometime but for a short period, i can see imei in Settings, about phone, and baseband also but no signals, and it disappears again after restart. stuck with it since 2 weeks and didn't find any soloution yet. please help me because xda is my last hope. Any Help Would be Appreciated. Thanks In Advanced.

Hi i have the z and installed cm10.1 fxp211. It installs fine but when i go to the rom, i have no reception. I go to the about screen and it shows no imei number at all. can anyone help me on why this happens? i have tried taking the sim out going into aeroplane mode and rebooting the phone putting sim in and it still dont work. any help is appreciated.
Try reflashing previous version ( fxp 210 ) and check again. Maybe something went wrong with the modem driver or flashing procedure.

Same thing happened to me. I've also tried the said steps but still no IMEI is shown. I even reflashed it to stock rom, restored my TA Partition but to no avail!

I have the same trouble like you guys.
I installed CM 10.2 Milestone1 and after some time my IMEI went lost.
So far I found no solution.
Did you find any solution in the meantime?
What did you do with your phone now?
I had it replaced. My phone was under warranty.

Okay. In the meantime I was able to recover mine. In Clockworkmod I formatted all partitions (real format, not just wipe option) and installed CM 10.2 nightly, then I had my IMEI back. Now I did a backup from within Clockworkmod, next time my phone gets bricked I have a backup now.... Should have done that earlier...

I'm running PAC-ROM. So far everything has been fine for months, but sometimes when my device rebooted spontaneously it would be missing its signal. A quick reflash of the ROM usually solved this, but its not working this time.
Today I've found out it's because there's an unknown imei and baseband. I've searched and found a few threads but so far have nothing to work with.
I've got s-off if that helps. M7ul.mcan anyone help me?

Hi, I am a bit new to this but yeah.. After I tried to upgrade to CM 12 BETA by maclaw. I then downgraded to CM 11.After I downgraded to CM11 , the serial number changed while the IMEI stayed the same. I also lost my access to 3G and I'm stuck in factory mode in the stock ROM I am using now. Does anyone know what went wrong and eventually how to fix it?

recently i backed up my rom LS 3.1 using CWM
since i have had some issuses with it i preformed a restore to the backup even thogh there was a little line says there is no files
i rebooted the phone and now it will not connect to the network so i can not prefom any phone calls or send sms or anything
the wifi connection is working
i have backed up effs a long time ago!
if I will reinstall a rom will it slove my problem?
what should I do
please help me!

problem solved i have resotred a back up of my stock rom running JB 4.1.2
and now i have service even though the phone is on roming mode but everything else is working therefore I dont care about it
The story
Hi everyone, thanks for reading me and thanks for your time.
I am stuck with this galaxy S5.
I got a S5 in the past, a beautiful SM-G900F on which I run lineageOS no problem whatsoever.
I bought another S5 from ebay, turns on it's a G900A.
Had problems from the start, the phone seemed to often restart instead of turning off normally, and I had severe battery drain both while on and while turned off. So I went to this section and looked at Root, Roms and other cool stuff and followed the guide to put up a custom ROM.
The problem
The first step, installing the experimental firmware, seemed to work but after reboot no OS would install, instead I got "MODEM CRASH".
So from there, I tried to roll back to stock.
I put on BOF3, which works, but since then I have baseband null and IMEI unknown.
Panicking, I tried to install COI5, but same problem there and also multiple bugs, so I went back to BOF3 and it's all functional, but same baseband/IMEI problem.
I have tried to reset to the oldest stock G900AUCU1ANCE but ODIN fails at the very start. I seem to understand I'm on android 5 and cannot rollback now, somehow.
If anyone has any idea on what I can do realistically.
I have no EFS backup as when I started I didn't know what EFS was.
