Yes building a rom is pretty much the same across all htc devices
getting the updater-script correct is the tricky part

I download Kitchen by Dsixda to try. I download the rooted twrp backup and I put the file in the folder in the kitchen directory.
But kitchen say the files of the backup doesn't match and so it don't see any ROM...
The backup is composed with 3 files :
recovery.log
system.ext4.win000
system.ext4.win001
Thanks a lot..

Here
--- Go ahead and make a copy of your boot and system backup and paste them in the original_update folder which can be found in the kitchen directory. From a 'TWRP backup' the boot.img will be originally named boot.emmc.win and the system.img will originally be named system.ext4.win. Go ahead and change them respectively to boot.img and system.img (It is that easy).

cd <to whichever location you'r rom files are in>
tar -cvf blablabla.tar <file1> <file2> <file3>..........
md5sum -t blablabla.tar >> blablabla.tar
mv blablabla.tar > blablabla.tar.md5

Awesome man thanks, for some reason the latest recovery, compiling from source, won't boot and hasn't booted for awhile for the p3113. Been using 6.0.2.3. +1 for the flashable zips, no easy way for people to tar files if they don't have a linux box!

rename into recovery.tar.md5 and it will work
Thanks, that worked
That happens because @mythi changed the name of the file after he build the *.tar.md5
There is an md5 added into this file (for your safety) wich needs the same filename as at the buildingprocess. (sorry for my bad english i hope you understand)

Or like I said remove the .md5 extension. Leave it as .tar. Thats easier I guess.

no, for *.tar.md5 you have to use odin.
for *.zip you need a custom recovery

[Q] can anyone make a flashable zip of /system(deodexed)?

i want the old lockscreen back, so i tested xperialockscreen.apk from .136 firmware ....not my best idea ^^ now systemui fc´s.
so can anyone make flashable zip of .757 firmware (deodexed/or just a zip from /system) ?
or just post the whole /system folder from .757 firmware?
thanks in advance and a big sorry for my bad english
There are several in the development section
But what you want to do is delete that file using adb, saves replacing a whole system for the sake of deleting one file
OR
restore the backup you made before you started messing with system files....

Need stock recovery 64 bits

Hello, I need the stock recovery.img for HTC Desire 510 64 bits EU version.
Sorry for my bad english, I am from Romanian.
You can use the ruu to get stock recovery back.
In cmd run
fastboot devices and make sure that it's connected
fastboot oem lock
If you're not registered on HTCdev do so and download the RUU for your device http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
This will revert your completely back to stock bootloader, recovery, and rom.
Thanks, I need root, was discovered something?: D
No. The only thing you can do is unlock your bootloader.

Yep, it will be possible in the future for 64-bit. @rbheromax announced (here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/help/status-64-bit-root-t2984719) that he will have some development once a 64-bit RUU becomes available online somewhere
hope you still need it

I have used winRAR to break the rom into parts. Yes u will see that there are two system.IMG but in reality there is only one system.IMG file. You donot have to extract all parts. Just extract part1 zip and it will automatically extract other parts. Note : you should have all the parts in one folder in order to extract rom otherwise it will show error
