Can someone post pictures of the back without a cover on? - Galaxy Note 4 General

As the title says, Id like to see a picture of the back with the cover off. It would help me check for Qi charger compatibility.

You can look in the thread starting with, cunning Samsung for a picture. Also, the Note 4 is Qi compatible with a back cover that enables it. The stock cover does not.

yes I had one of those for my Note 3, got a cheap one on Amazon for like $12? It broke last week, just in time for my upgrade to Note 4. You get what you pay for!

I assume u need a note 4 only wireless qi cover since they changed the shape of the battery, to keep another revenue stream in place for Samsung & suppliers

I have one for the S3 and I LOVE IT!! Best $20 bucks I ever spent on a phone battery. My worry with this one though is no mention of NFC on it. The Note 2 has NFC on the case again not on the battery like the S3. If this has NFC then you will officially have a phone that lasts longer than a Tablet

No NFC, no thanks.
I bought one of these (can't post links, but do a search on ebay for note 2 7600 and you'll find it). Decided if I was going to extend the battery I might as well do it properly, and a 7600MA battery is about as big as I could find! Figured if it was crap I'd only wasted £15! Turns out it's rather good. It does add a bit of depth to the phone (about 10mm), but for me at least it actually makes it more comfortable in my hand. And it has the added bonus of keeping the camera lens away from whatever surface the phone is on. Can't comment on whether the nfc works or not I'm afraid as it's not something I use.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 "Smart Dock" wanted...

I have a vzw note 2 and am looking for a US company or website that is legit and has the samsung galaxy note 2 "smart dock" in stock. Anyone seen that lately? I called my local vzw retail store and they told me all they have are a couple of cases.
Thanks in advance.

I called up cdw as the 'availability' said to call. Rep told me it is on back order and has been for some time. They are anticipating getting some stock the 2nd week of March.
Is there a huge benefit from getting the samsung smart dock as opposed to getting something like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Case Compatible HDMI Charging Dock which is only about 40 bucks?
Yeah I would like to know also what the benefit of getting the official Samsung dock versus a generic. And does anyone know how future proof this is? like will it work with the Note 3, 4, etc?

The smart dock has 3 USB ports that'll let you turn the Note 2 into a desktop pc.
Yeah but if you get a blue tooth keyboard and mouse you wouldn't really need the extra ports would you?

true but the idea is to use wired things plus external usb hard drives etc.

Also you can use a hard drive or flash drive to view files or movies on there. Also comes with an extra wall charger($40 value). Plus if you dont want to have to buy a bluetooth keyboard and mouse but have many wired keyboards and mice around why not? It'll be cheaper than having to purchase those along with the dock.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Be careful with some older wired mice though. Some people (including me) have noticed that connecting an old wired mouse turns the screen of the Note 2 off (a good thing) but drops the FPS on the monitor/TV significantly.
I am hoping to get my hands on one of the smart docks soon. I have found some on amazon, but the vendors there have the price so jacked up that I figure I am not going to buy from them. The way I see it is if Samsung can sell for $99, why pay $139-$160 for the exact same item. Doesn't make sense at all. Bestbuy is out of stock, and cdw as well, But the cheapest price I have seen is with cdw. Will keep my fingers crossed that one will make itself available within the next few weeks.
Signed,
*Eagerly waiting* - lol
When I called the very nice lady at CDW said they were getting some in at the end of February. That was a couple of weeks ago. I got one at Amazon for a little over $100 shipped instead.

Yes I spoke with a very nice lady as well. She told me that it should be around the 2nd week of March. I am hoping that to be the case as well. She also told me that I can go ahead and place my order now, and whenever the device is received, then it would be shipped, but I just don't want to lock into anything.

Easy there tiger.
A) This thread is a month old now
B) Have you ever seen a thread stay on topic?
C) >1% of the users of this phone really care about hdmi out. Just no real purpose other than the "oh that's cool factor"
The post I made gives it more than just a "charger" feature set. Which more than likely can be done with the holier-than-thou Smart Dock as well but you'd have to give up the audio port for it to work.

Galaxy Gear: Higher Battery Capacity Replacement?

Hi there, I was disassembling my watch to be curious. I found the battery area and I noticed online there are micro batteries around the web. Do you guys think there is a way to get one of those batteries and fit it into the watch and use the ribbons (the wires) that were on the old battery and make them work with the new battery? I'm still trying to look for a good battery only if it is confirmed that one can do this. Thanks if you can help me out!

Find a battery that fits, has similar voltage output, and let us know how it goes! :fingers-crossed:
for the size of 20mm x 30 mm you will be very lucky to find anything over 315mA
i had a quick search and i found 310mA etc
unless you can modify the case some how i dont think you will find anything

I have successfully replaced the battery before, but be cautious if you do get a gear, only tested on original gear. You have to switch the capacitors, or the battery will just drain, and it needs the same voltage. The LG G Watch I heard was a great device, and with the oneplus, the G watch has full compatibility. I used the gear once with a Droid ultra, I had problems with a few things, and no galaxy store. Good thing I'm back to my Note 3 (for now ☺).

People have had varying levels of success with the air dock, which sticks via a sticky foam. So if you absolutely want magnets, then that won't work but otherwise it might. I ordered the air dock to see if it works, and I also have a d brand skin on the way if the naked back doesn't work, hopefully the carbon skin will stick.

I have the original and it sort of works without a case. But doesn't hold well. I have my hopes for the 2.0 version. Version 1.0 was awesome with my Nexus 5.
I'm using this and while it works getting the Nexus 6 into it is a little more work than just slapping my phone on the airdock.
