new here, how do i download some of these links to the phone to install them?
You have to download the file to you computer then connect you phone to you PC using active sync (XP) Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista). Then I use file explorer to find the file I want copy it (right click>copy) the use file explorer to go to your device (or storage card) and past it. After that use file explorer on you phone ti find a click on the file (CAB) and it should install.
good luck
I downloaded a couple of games i want to put on my phone to test.
but im unsure how to put them on. can someone help me out..?
thanks.
and also if anyone knows any good sites i could download games aswell, that your sure that will work.
Connect your device to your PC via activesync.
If they're .exe files, run them on your PC and follow the process (i recommend installing them on your storage card)
IF they are .cab files or if Windows tells you they're not valid win32 apps then copy them over to your device. U can use activesync to this, right click the activesync icon in the taskbar and click on explore.
Once the files are on your device, browse to where you put them using file explorer and tap the files to install...
This is pretty basic stuff so keep it in mind when installing any other app/game.
Hi how can i download theme and wallpaper and tranfer them to my htc desire hd rooted phone
Is there more to this question thn meets the eye?
You managed to root your phone but you don't know how to transfer files from your computer to your phone.
Using a usb cable plug your phone in to the computer. Pull the notification bar down and select the usb connected notification. Choose usb mass storage (or something along those lines). And then copy the files from the computer to the memory card of your phone
I know how to do that where those the file go in phonewhich folder i sould put that file
With regards to themes it depends on what type of theme it is and what rom you are using.
Wallpapers can be put anywhere on you sdcard. Then to choose a new wallpaper press and hold on your home screen, select wallpaper then browse you gallery for the wallpaper and hit save.
Hey guys i have a problem with my cappy. When i plug the phone to the computer and i try to open the folder, the message pop out and it says "unable to open the script file".
I am running ICS 4.0.3
thanks.
bump! plz help...if you need any additional information about the problem i will try to explain the best i can.
right click the drive letter assigned to the phone.
chose expand or open, do not choose autorun
if it opens ok, you have an autorun problem with your drives. possibly a bug in your computer or you accidentally placed an autorun file on your phone card or both
Hey man i did what you said to do and it opens fine, but i cant get to open any folder i just get the message unable to open the script file when i double click on any folder on my phone, but i can open zip files . Is there any way i can find and delete this "autorun file".
Thanks
does the same procedure work on each folder in your phone? right click and choose expand or open?
If so, and there is no autorun file in the folders, then you have a bug in your computer. Start researching on how to scan and clean your computer. It is beyond the scope of this forum to get into that.
If there is an autorun in each folder on your phone, something put them there and they don't belong. Delete them using any file explorer app (root access file explorer might be necessary depending on where the file is located), see if they come back. If they come back when not connected to your computer, you have a bugged phone or a malfunctioning app. short answer in this case is to backup and wipe your phone. Backups may not be trustworthy either unless you find the culprit.
No way I can be more specific without having the phone in my hand, sorry.
Yes for the each folder is the same thing. I try to open it on different laptop and it does the same thing so it must be in the phone.
I will try to do that and see what happens. Thanks you man a lot.
Hello people,
When I open Windows Explorer and I naviagte to my Huawei P9, I see my files, but I can't copy of save files,
my phone is not rooted and I have usb debugging enabled.
Is it possible to edit and save files on my SD tru my USB connection?
Regards,
Ralph
Hey,
Unfortunately Android changed right managements with version 5 I think. Now you must be rooted to grant certain apps write permissions for SD card. However, the original file explorer that came with the phone (the one by Huawei) should be able to copy files. Also, you can copy them from your computer via USB on your phone. When the phone is connected to your computer slide down the task bar and click on files...there you go!

Yes I found the file explorer, but I'm not shure if this helps me.
The reason I'm asking this question is this:
I use watchmaker, and watchmaker has a folder on my SD card , and one of thos folders has a script folder with lua scripts.
I want to open a text editor like sublime text on my windows pc and open the script folder on my phone SD card and edit those scripts and save it.
so is there a way I can tell android, it's ok that everyone has access to this script folder so I can edit those files tru my pc/usb?

Ralph
