no they are different, however Paul says he will start working on Legend tomorrow
Desire root should be up today
seems that HTC have disabled fast boot and disabled some stuff making the legend and desire more difficult then the previous android HTCs. And we thought HTC loved hackers .......

1.go top htcdev and unlock your bootloader(all other phones)
2. Flash nope kernel v2.6 and can or twrp and flash a cm10 based Rom.
3. Flash super su if not included it.
