Can anyone locate the google search apk? - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Looking for the google search apk to help a dev who doesnt have the phone, but cant find it anywhere. Anyone know where to look? If you can post the apk it would be awesome but also where to find it on mine would be great. Apparently moto x comes with google search 3.9 and my understanding is the most current is 3.6

In es file Explorer swipe left and go to app and in drop down select installed on phone and there is Google search apk

and just to confirm, you are using one of the brand new moto x's? (Moto x 2014?)

nvm i see what you did. so it turns out the apk name is velvet. found the velvet.apk all is well.
update: talked to the dev and us moto x users do indeed have a more updated google search than the general users. Was doing all this in hopes of getting xgels working but it sounds like that wont be easily happpening until everyone is on the same version. Guess we'll just wait and see...

How do I get the apk? I do not see it on the market. I always wanted an app to review my usage instead of calling in or looking online.

NM, I have a co-worker with an Evo. I made a backup of his and sent it to me. It is not what I expected, it makes you access your account on the internet. I was hoping for something like Verizon's app.

You have to use a file manager. Go to the market and install Estrongs File Manager or any other you perfer. Once you have that installed. Download the Sprint Zone application onto your sd card on your phone. Open up the File manager you installed and locate the Sprint Zone file you downloaded. Click on it and install it to your phone. Easy as that, O also if you have not checked the install unknown sources yet it should send you to that menu before you install.

Pokedroid Pokedex App

Sorry if this isn't allowed. But its driving me crazy!!
Before I flashed I had a wonderful app 'Pokedroid Pokedex' on my DHD. Stupidly I forgot to backup and now I've lost this app and Its actually been deleted from the app store. I've searched google for hours and I cant find a link anywhere.
Surely someone on this forum has the app, they could backup and share with me? Please? Its my all time favourite app.

Download Astro File Manager(it's free) from the marketplace.
Start it, navigate to the pokedroid_1.5.2.apk file on your phone. Click on it and select "open app manager" from the window that pops up. Then simply click install
Do the exact same for the extras, but unpack them from the .rar archive first!
Havin a problem, sorry.

It runs perfectly on my Desire HD.

Does anyone have the apk they can send me? I'm about to upgrade from android 1.5 and I downloaded the app over the air, hence I can't get the apk to install on my new phone. If anyone knows how to get installed apk's from an android 1.5 phone, that would also be greatly appreciated.
I'm a little confused. What's wrong with the downloadable attachments provided in this thread?

[REQUEST] Moto X Launcher APK

Hello, guys! I was wondering if someone could send me the APK file of the Android Launcher used on Moto X and Moto G (2013 Versions!). I usually use Launcher2 but I would really like to have the transparent status bar. I know the two launchers are actually the same and that I could set the transparent bar with root permissions on Launcher2 but I would really like to have it Without root permissions. I noticed that several people have been asking about it in other forums but I never managed to find what I was actually searching.
Can someone realize my little desire? Thanks!

If rooted you paste the files & set perms to the same as other apks. Reboot to install. Rename any previous file of the same name to .bak
I used Nova, more features and still transparent

You can't alter system apps without root. And that's what the stock launcher is. If it won't just click and install, I doubt there is anything you can do.
Maybe I'm wrong and someone can correct me, but that's my understanding.

^ This is correct. Launcher2 is a system app that requires root to modify. If you're trying to install another Launcher2 on top of it, you'll get an error.

[FULFILLED] Needed VVM app from Droid Turbo stock rom

Can someone PLEASE post the Verizon visual voicemail app for me? I need the apk.
Are you not able to share system apk files yet?
I was hoping you could send me the Voicemail app by just sending me the zip file that ZipMe creates. Its FREE and shouldn't take too long.
I'd even be willing to offer a reward!! Ha...just PM me if interested and you are willing to help.
Thanks!!

Hey!! You're the man! I'm having an issue with installing it, so I'm thinking there's possibly an ".odex" file in that same directory that I would need. Do you see one? I guess I was in a hurry and didn't see it...
Well... here you go! (I had to rename the VVM3.odex to VVM3.zip. It wouldn't let me upload as .odex or .ode_)
And don't worry about giving anything.. I'm just glad to help!
Out of curiosity, why do you need the Verizon Voice Mail app? Since we don't have root, you couldn't have possibly deleted yours.. (or maybe you don't have a Verizon phone??)

Ah, sweet!! Thank you for doing this!! I actually have a Verizon HTC One M8. I'm rooted and all, just have had a stressful few months trying to get VVM installed on anything that's not Sense (stock based). I had no idea you didn't have root yet Damn! Well, I'm sure one day soon you'll wake up and see the Droid Turbo thread flooded with people celebrating the new found root method! ...just sayin
Yeah, seriously... THANKS again!! Save me as an xda contact, and if I can EVER help you in any way, you can bet I will try!

Hey, glad I could help! I was on CM since CM7 (and still have CM for my Nexus 10, Moto G and Galaxy S3 (both are my test phones)...
But I never thought anyone would actually want Verizon apps running when they have root already lol..
If I could, I would purge them from my Droid Turbo... I HATE seeing the VM service running on my phone, so I kill it manually every time, since I can't disable it)
Well.. again, if you need anything other VZ apps, just let me know.

Sorry for the noobness,,,,,but could guide me as to how to install files both onto my N6? I have a N6 bought from T-Mobile that I'm using on Verizon. All is good except that my Visual VM is not working because the Verizon VM app is not there. Hopefully if I can install this I can get it to work.
Thanks

The easiest way for you would be to save the 2 files (rename the .zip to .odex) and click on the the .apk file with a File Manager and select "Install" when asked. Make sure you have the "Install from Unknown Sources" enabled (from Setup, Security).
Good luck!
Hi. Wondering if this will work on pretty much any VZW phone. And do you just rename the .zip to .index and place in appropriate directory? Thanks.

It should...
Rename the .zip to .odex and place both files in the same directory and use a file manager program to install. (Make sure you have the "Install from Unknown Sources" enabled.
Or if you have root, you can place them in the /system/priv-app/ directly (no need to install)
Wondering if you go this to work?
