Dear All,
I use SlimKAT on my Droid 4 and this is very good, fast and stable system.
On this system, Home > Menu > Settings > Applications > Quick launch is not available. So I can't set up keys with apps linked to them.
Where can I find this option?

★ [FAQ][CM10.1/10.2/11][Galaxy S Advance] & [How You Can Really Help] ★
Hi, there! I hope this can help those who ask some common questions in all threads or just don't read the OP or the OP hasn't Q&A.
Before we start know that this thread was originally created by @mauam and I just made a little changes. Go to his original thread and hit thanks!
Q: How to upgrade from Gingerbread to Jelly Bean?
A: Follow this tutorial.
Q: Where can I download CyanogenMod ROMs?
A: Go here to download.
Q: How to install/update CyanogenMod ROMs?
A: Follow this tutorial.
Q: Where I can find GApps?
A: You can download here or here.
Q: How to enable the Developer Options?
A: Settings -> About phone -> click 7 times on build number.
Q: How to enable advanced reboot?
A: Settings-> Developer Options-> Advanced reboot.
Q: How to change time of backlight?
A: Settings -> Buttons -> Backlight -> Illumintation timeout.
Q: How to enable/disable backlight?

A: Settings -> Sound -> Check/uncheck vibrate on touch.
Q: I installed CM10.1/CM10.2/CM11 ROM but I can't find radio FM app. Any solution?
A: Yes. Download Spirit FM Free from here.
Then you need to do that:
1 - If you are in Europe: Settings->Band->World... (Anyone).
2 - Settings->Audio->Method->Galaxy S3/Note/S2_ICS (Only works with this one).
Q: How to enable the pie controls & navigation buttons?
A: First you need a file explorer, then add this line qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to /system/build.prop & reboot the phone to activate the on screen buttons (Navigation Bar). Then go to Settings>System>Power menu>Expanded desktop & activate it & then you will see pie control in the Settings>System menu.
Q: How I can help the development of any ROM?
A: Not with, "+1", "FC", "me too", "same bug here", blablabla. These comments are USELESS.
Q: So, how I can really help?
A: Simple. Remember doing this you're helping the developer & yourself, you're intelligent, so you understand what I'm saying, right!?!
Do that in the right ROM thread:
Phone model:
Baseband version:
ROM version:
Did you?
wipe:
restore with titanium backup:
reboot after having the issue:
Are you using?
a task killer:
the kernel (boot.img) in the zip or other:
Settings/Performance settings (other than default):
What steps will reproduce the problem?
But the most important thing is this: attach a LOGCAT of the problem.
Q: Ok nice, but I’m noob & I don’t know how to LOGCAT, where I can learn?
A: Here, here or stop being lazy & search in XDA forums.

Sorry for the long wait guys. Time was short this week. I'll have some things to show you as soon as dude moves my thread back and some resources. If not I'll just make a new one soon.
Nfc is on in that kernel. But I don't check nfc. I'll check it on future ports and builds.

For me DNA...for the moment.
In the earlier days of porting I removed nfc from the ramdisk as I did not think you could use it in rom ports. The newer kernel in the last rom has nfc returned to the kernel, however to make it work you would need the nfc apks from our stock rom.
Future roms will have nfc support if it's available in the source.

Hello MrDuck - I am just wondering if you are still planning on dropping any more 'ports' on us here or have you given up ?
I am still here to help out any way I can, but it has been almost 1 month now since we last heard from you on this. I know
life is hard and I fully understand if you just have no free time ... I am thankful for all the work you have done for us already.
I just wanted to let you know that I am still here ready to help in any way if needed. :cyclops::good:
Have a great day !

Use these customization tools at your own risk! I'm not responsible for any damage that may happen to your phone.
I'm a big Samsung fan, but I'm not a fan of the animations/UI/bloatware that slows down my phone! So I'd like to share my "Beast Mode" Note 9! I've used these mods since the S8+ in 2017 and 2 days on the Note 9, on the S8+ I've installed OTA updates from my carrier with no issues since release but please proceed with caution per the disclaimer.
All these custom modifications require ADB and the latest Samsung USB Drivers.
How to enable USB debugging and disable Animations: On your Galaxy please go into Settings > About phone > Software information > Tab on Build number 10 times > Go back to main settings page and scroll to the very bottom > Developer options > Enable USB debugging > *OPTIONAL* Scroll down and disable Window animation, Transition animation, Animator duration scale

Can anyone help me with gsi Rom in Redmi 8 no matter which Rom I boot in I get brightness slider bug or the WiFi stops working
its probably because you didnt fully follow the instructions (kernel i guess). IMHO its better to use a full custom instead, there are a few already in our subforum
Better if you use custom ROMs, there many available for redmi 8.
If you still wanna use Gsi and having brightness bug
Here is possible solution
For brightness: Open settings -> Go in "Phh Treble Settings" -> "Misc Features" -> Scroll until you are in backlight menu -> Select "Force alternative backlight scale" and "Enable auto-brightness overlay" -> then deselect both and reboot
Hope this well help you

You better use ROMs (Not Gsi) they are way better and stable.
