[Q] How to access the Stock Recovery - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all.
Really liking my Z3C but just wondering whether anyone knows if its possible to get into the stock recovery?
I've seen this article http://www.theandroidsoul.com/boot-sony-xperia-z3-compact-recovery-mode/ but i don't get any flashing lights when booting up on my UK O2 Z3C. Any advice on if this is possible would be appreciated. thanks

You have to be rooted first.

OK,thanks. It was just that coming a S2 that I could get into stock recovery without being rooted.

[Q] Point me in the right direction, im confused! *flashing related*

Hey everyone!
I'm going to make this as short as possible. I purchased a Sammy S about a month ago and bricked it while installing the OCLF apk available from the forums. Pretty weird how that happened considering it never gave me any problems before, I practically fried my internal SD and couldnt boot any firmware. Since then i've got a replacement for it and now I want to give things another shot.
Just like most of us on xda, I want the best firmware with all the cool nifty stuff, but now im kind of worried about bricking it again, so to avoid that im hoping I can get some clarification on some things:
- Phone is SGS, GT-I9000 (Canadian on Rogers), 2.2, I9000XXJP2, Recovery 3e.
To my understanding from reading some more forums last night, flashing new firmware or new ROMs with Recovery 3e is deadly, in which case i must obtain recovery 2e...
Is there a way to do this with my current firmware? OR
Do I flash a different firmware using Odin, and then attempt to obtain recovery 2e?
Cheers
- Sam
P.S: the phone is also NOT rooted.
no ideas anyone?

[Q] cwm issue

Hi there
Firstly, let me state that I am a novice when it comes to rooting/flashing ROM,etc. I foolishly rooted my G note and found that it slowed my phone down to an astonishing rate. I was able to unroot after hours of trying (eventually finding an app on snappzmatket).
This seems to have cleared the root/super user, etc but something has been left behind that I cannot remove called CWM.
I just want my phone back to its perfectly adequate state, so anyone know how I can get rid of CWM? I think it has something to do with stock ROM, or is a replacement for it??
Like I said,I should not have been messing with it as its way over my head all this. if it helps, I'm in the UK and my note is with O2
Any help would be greatly associated
Cheers, Adam
Just flash any non rooted stock ROM from Dr Ketan's thread in the dev section. Use PC Odin.. Should be good!

[Q] Exact Method to Root/Flash Custom Roms to 4.4.2 Verizon S3 i9305

So this might be a noob question, or answered elsewhere in the forum, but I can't find my exact answer or my phone. For the record rooting wasn't this difficult when I had my HTC Incredible before joining the Apple side for almost 2 years. Anyways I tried to root and successfully did so via towelroot, but upon trying to install liquid smooth rom (if there's any other rom's that are good on battery/ram please let me know haha) I got the dreaded take this phone to a Verizon store message. Well I flashed back to stock via Odin, but I still want to root my device in order to install some sort of rom that'll be nicer to my battery and would appreciate any help that can be given! Thanks in advance guys!
Did you manage to flash a recovery?

[Q] PROBLEM!

I have a HTC Desire 510, network unlocked and from the uk, therefore it is a 64bit version, I couldn't find a possible way to root my phone until I came across a kernel that was already rooted, after flashing the kernel and gathering root access I decided to flash a custom recovery, phils touch recovery. Soon after rooting and flashing my phone started to develop some problems, my data allowance is getting eaten super fast and I can't resolve this problem, when getting in touch to ask for a stock kernel from HTC they knocked me back.
Does anyone have a stock recovery for the HTC desire 510 64-bit unlocked European ?
Or
Does anyone have a good custom rom that will run on 64-bit European version?
I downloaded the OTA update a whole ago and obviously it wouldn't install because of my custom recovery, I was wondering if someone had an idea if there would be a new kernel in the update I had downloaded? Or if there was a way to install the update through philstouch?
I would much prefer to revert my phone back to stock, stock recovery, stock kernel, stock everything. However a new fresh rom would work better tan I have now. If someone could help me it would be much appreciated?

What kernel did you flash? The only other one I'm aware of right now is the dreamer kernel if you didn't flash that then you can try it..

This is also a main reason we tell everyone to make a complete backup of your current system before ever even flashing anything at all! Take this as a warning folks to simply spend the extra time to make a complete backup of your system!! It will save you in the long run!

Help! Can't find proper rom!

Hello. So recently I have installed root on my samsung galaxy s5 mini or SM-G800H. The build number is G800HXXU1BPA1. Now I decided that I want to remove root so I tried to go to SuperSU directly via app and press full unroot. That is when it failed to unroot. From there I knew that I had to reinstall the factory rom for my phone. However me being a complete idiot, I didnt write down the firmware version. So I tried to go full mad and I tried multiple roms but I couldn't find the one right for it. I installed one but the back and the multitask buttons on the side of the screen werent working and also the internet was also failing to work. For the other indian version (Boi), the phone went under a constant boot loop. I am trying to look for the proper firmware. Some places say that the BPA1 is an African model but how can that be if I bought it in India? So to make things short, I need help on what rom to flash. The Indian ones? Or the African ones? I will try the one made for BPA1 or at least they say it is. If it works ill get back to you. If it doesn't, then much help is always appreciated. Thanks guys.
