I am using Launcher Pro Plus on my brand new Bionic. I have an empty screen and am trying to add the World Clock widget, yet it keeps telling me I have no room and won't let me add it? Has anyone else run across this issue? Any feedback?
I downloaded home switcher and went back to the stock home screen to test. I was able to add it there with no problem. Ths widget must not be compatible with launcher pro?

Hey Guys! Yesterday the camera update arrived in my Moto X (Brazilian Retail version). And a great feature is now gone.
The transparent area behind the android digital buttons is now fully black. This is annoying me. Did it happen with you too?
My System Version is now 139.12.35.ghost_row.Brasil.en.BR.
Thanks everyone!
I believe this is indeed a new change in the update. They got rid of the transparency for whatever reason.
I'm still transparent on Verizon.

i've noticed this too. i had a gsm dev edition on the camera ota and it had a fully black bar. i now have an at&t one also on the camera update and it has a transparent bar. weird.
edit: i'm wrong, it's black on AT&T version too on homescreen. the camera is still transparent, as was gsm dev edition after update.
Are u using non stock launcher?

I do. I'm using Apex Launcher to use some custom icons and have a better home screen alignment.
but I didn't had this issue when I first installed it. So if I go back to stock launcher I'll have my opacity back? If I do it and then install Apex Launcher again will the problem be solved? Well, let's check.

yeah apex here. can confirm on my wife's pre-ota version moto x the nav bar is transparent in apex launcher. on mine post-ota, black bar apex, transparent stock.
Same problem, on AT&T post-update. I couldn't remember if I had transparent in Nova before rooting and getting the Xposed modules, so after the update, I just assumed it was because I was using a third-party launcher and lost root. It is still transparent on stock launcher, but stock launcher sucks.
Black bar on NOVA. Even tried setting transparency with GravityBox and no dice. It gets semi-transparent but the color is all off and it gets weird graphical glitches when you hit a button.

Mine is black with Nova as well.
So do we know (a) why and/or (b) a fix?
I just updated (vzw) and noticed this change as well. I am in Nova, and didnt pay attention to stock, is it transparent in the stock launcher for sure?

Yeah, I tried a couple this afternoon, and only the stock launcher had the transparent nav bar. Does anyone have any clue what part of the system needs to be modified to get transparency to stick all the time?
Thought I'd add my name to the list of people who noticed this. It would be great to have this back, especially to keep the AMOLED screen healthy where the navigation bar is (so that it wears evenly with the rest of the screen).
Posted from the comfort of my Moto X.
Add me to this list. Post ota using apex, its black. However, I notice that if I reboot, it is transparent until I open an app or app drawer.
You guys getting the same thing?

Did anyone else get the Nova beta update? There's a new setting in "Look and Feel" for transparent nav bar but it's not working for me. I have it checked but my nav bar is still black. Anyone else experiencing this?
So I received my x and it looks wonderful. I decided to boot it without a sim and not set my google account to it yet. One thing I noticed that I dislike is the google search bar is on every page, is there a way to remove it ? Also the widgets on the Phone seem to be rather weak when compared to my Motorola xt860 which has a much wider selection and some that are much more useful such as quick contacts which is probably my favorite widget. Also is there a stock weather widget b/c I cannot seem to find one.
There's thousands of widgets on play store. And Nova is a great launcher to replace stock, and you can get rid of the google bar on it.

I did check for similar widgets couldn't really find any that were that close. I will check out Nova, but there is no way for this to be done w/ stock ?
Couldn't find a way to get rid of them either so switched to an alternative launcher as well. Nova is very good, but have recently switched from Nova to the Action Launcher Pro. I'd suggest trying that one out as well.

I don't like the google search bar at the top of my homescreen. I know changing launchers would fix that, but does anyone know if there's an Xposed module that works on 4.4 moto X to get rid of it? Thanks!
Mike
Or, actually, I love the Trebuchet launcher from CM. Does anyone know where I can find that launcher? Found the xda post for it by nebkat but link is broken, had to dig through post and found a v1.0 apk and OP says CM9. Anything newer?
I just pulled the Trebuchet.apk from the Motorola Droid RAZR/RAZR MAXX (CDMA) CM 10.2.1 (cm-10.2.1-spyder) and put it in system/priv-app and made it rw-r-r. Everything seems to work EXCEPT you can't change number of home screens, default home screen, and number of dock items.
Otherwise, works to remove google search bar, hide dock divider and indicator, split apps and widgets in drawer, and you can hide apps in drawer. Not sure why it FCs on changing number of homescreens and number of dock items though. Any ideas?
I'm on a Verizon Moto X 4.4 developer edition, rooted, unlocked.

Yeah I want the bar gone as well...
Don't think you can. Stock launcher is poo anyway. Get Nova...prime is even better.

Hi!
I've installed google now launcher, and I like it rather than the stock launcher. But, when I want to use the motorola circle widget, I can´t, because only can use in motorola launcher. What alternative I have to use a circle widget in my screen?
Greetings,
Fernando

I don't remember if someone eventually did it, but the devs were working on a installable moto circle widget. Last I checked, they didn't get it to work, but search the forums to see if they did.
Edit: check this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2936056
one more clock
One more clock on the play store is the closest thing I can find. Pretty cool you can assign 8 different spots to apps when u click on it.
