Yeah, other launchers will work but I needed to root it in order to freeze the original launcher with Titanium Backup. I haven't tried others launchers but I guess they will work fine also.

I bought it in China. Sadly there's not a lot of options in Europe to get it so the price will be higher. Try oppomart.com or ask @getmobilephone, he is a seller. I also saw in the forum that someone is selling his mate 7 but I don't remember who.

This is not necessary. You can set defaulf launcher via settings. Settings -> Manage apps -> Default app settings -> Launcher. Here you can set your favorite launcher.

when i compare to my vivo xplay 3s (same size) i can say:
pro on Mate7: Battery, thin, display, really good housing!!!
pro on vivo: SOUND and CPU (snapdragon).

Tablets have different functionality demands and a lot more screen real estate than our smartphones so, I got to thinking that it would be nice to have a dedicated thread for posting Tablet Home Screens.
Feel free to post your home screen along with your tablet model and any interesting apps/widgets you used for the design. I just got my Nook Color software set up the way I want so I'll update with whatever design I settle on soon!

My CM7'd nook used to face some pretty sweet screens, but then I flashed an update, and it got all messed up, and now adw won't let me stretch Widgets to the top of the screen, so I can't use the top inch of the homescreen. Tried clearing data, cache, etc, no luck. Haven't gotten around to uninstalling and reinstalling yet.

Iam trying now to find another Launcher to my Note, I tried ADW launcher EX and did not like it, and tried Go Launcher EX and i think I will keep it, but the problem is Iam missing the Note default Launcher Month calendar widget and tasks (as the pics),

when i try to add these 2 widgets to Go Launcher I can not find them in widgets list, is there any way to have them with GO Launcher?
If not , so Iam looking for a similar widgets and it will be better if they fit the Note screen or I will use the widgets resize feature of Go Launcher

They're the main reason i'm still with touchwiz.
I'm using Launcher Pro, and "Simple Calendar Widget" which is very effective.
It's the dark strip under clock and meteo; out can show your agenda data in several styles, and by clicking it you can open your agenda app, e.g. S-planner or any other.

I thought I had, but instead the XDA app didn't send the pic. It's now attached to my previous post.
I used to use the Go Calendar widget it's a great free option if you are using Go Launcher. I have also bought Pure Grid Calendar Widget (I prefer a month view) and when the Play Store had their recent specials I bought the Business Calendar that also has some nice widgets. Currently I am running both but have not made a final decision on the one I prefer.

The bootloader is locked on these devices so no way as of yet to use custom roms, ie: Jellybean. I would recommend either Apex Launcher or Nova Launcher, they both use the ics/jellybean style and you can hide the notification and action bars so you have full screen. Remember after you download them from the market you have to convert them to a system application for them to work. Details on how to do that in [Go launcher working] thread.

I use Apex Launcher and it works PERFECT! I also tried Nova Launcher, and though it has the same concept, Apex just worked better for me. I also wanted the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 lockscreen so I tried Holo Locker but it didnt work for me. Oh well, I'll have to do with the Kindle Fire HD lockscreen. You can disable the ads by going into System/App in ES File Explorer and rename "dtcp_apk.apk" to "dtcp_apk.bat". And I do have to say, I'm loving the KFHD lockscreen wallpapers. Hope this helps if you didn't get what you're looking for.

Hi, are you able to keep the KF action bar off when using various apps? Even with notification/status unchecked in Apex launcher, the action bar is popping up in at least the Currents app, which blocks text in landscape mode. Any thoughts?
how did you get apex launcher to work?
i am able to install it but i do not know how to open/start it.
my kindle fire HD is not rooted.

all icons are in the zip file or dropbox gallery
i made icons for rocket player and some other apps, i don't know how to put them in the app but you can use the image is your launcher supports that

Hi there @tung91 i was wondering why the dynamic icons are not working on Nova, apparently we could just add this line into appfilter.xml

the navbar can be changed as far as order and a few other qualities like swipe up.
You go in the drop down buttons and find the navigation bar. Then touch the words (not the button). Then go into the details. There are the options I used to switch the order of the buttons.
not my homescreen but lockscreen the screenshot comes out dark. This one edited to show. One my fav parts of my new phone is lockscrn always on.
aaand here is the new homescreen to stay somewhat on topic gear it that is important to anyone. Icon is called Watermelon Jelly and the rest is on the stock phone.

Samsung good lock from the galaxy store. Allows you to reposition, change icons and add a 4th button.
