Hi all,
I have attempted to update my multirom to the latest version so I can update the roms and I cannot enter recovery, I have tried to fastboot the multirom recovery but to no avail I just cannot enter recovery, the screen goes black and it just reboots. The roms both boot up fine and I can access bootloader and fastboot
any one help?

I was running ARHD 10.1 and flashed TeamSeven's kernel in Clockwork Recovery. Went to reboot and the phone just boot loops, no big deal right. So when I put the phone back into bootloader screen and tried to boot into recovery it boots for about .50 seconds into my custom recovery then boots back to the Fastboot HTC Screen. Im unable to get into my custom recovery. Ive tried using the All in one tool to flash different recoverys and have been successful in doing so, I know this because they boot for the .50 seconds into TWRP or Clockwork then goes back into the HTC Fastboot screen. Does anybody have any ideas? How can I fix this? I tried to sideload a rom but it seems it will not let me until im able to get into my custom recovery.
Have you used ADB to delete cache, Then re-flash a recovery ? Then full wipe etc and clean install a Rom ?

type fastboot erase cache from PC while phone is in fastboot. you should be able to get into recovery afterwards. If not, flash another recovery from fastboot. fastboot flash recovery RECOVERYNAME.img
I unlocked the bootloader on my HTC One and successfully flashed CWM recovery; however, when I try to boot into recovery the HTC splash screen comes up with "Entering Recovery" for a few seconds (as it should), then the screen goes black for a second and it boots into the ROM like normal without going into Recovery.
I've seen that the general fix for this is to clear the dalvik-cache, but I can't do that without root permission, and I can't install the superuser to get root without being able to boot into the Recovery.
I have developer options enabled with USB Debugging, Fastboot is turned OFF.
I have flashed to plain CWM, touch CWM, and TWRP, all with the same results.
fastboot erase cache had no effect

are you flashing recovery with adb-fastboot, what computer os are you using
are you usung the correct recovery image, for the sprint m7wls, (fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-m7wls)
use goo manager to flash the recovery and see
or you can use the all in one tool in the dev section

I am using the "fastboot flash recovery" command on Windows 7 64-bit (I have also tried on 32-bit).
You were right about the recovery file, I was using openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-m7.img, not m7wls. So for anyone who finds this thread later make sure it's the right recovery file for your build and carrier (not just phone model).
Hello. I recently got an HTC One from CSpire. I had no trouble unlocking the bootloader. When I try to go into a custom recovery so that I can root, I get the message "Entering Recovery...". However, this screen only lasts a few seconds then my phone boots up like normal, completely skipping the recovery. I've tried multiple versions of TWRP and CWM. Any ideas? I'm not that experienced with android devices. I haven't been able to root because of the recovery issue I am having. Please help!

what instructions are you using to flash the recovery ?
do you have the all in one kit ?
Reboot on fastboot with Power volume down.
Once you are in fastboot you enter the following command:
fastboot erase chache
After this you should be able to reboot in recovery without any problem
Good luck

Clearing the cache didnt work. I just tried again using TWRP 2.5.0.0. I know its not the latest, but the latest doesn't work either.
Also sometimes when I try to go into recovery, my device freezes on the "Entering Recovery..." screen.

I've tried a couple different all in ones. None of them work. And I can push the recovery to the phone no problem. Its when I actually try to go into Recovery from the boot menu that I have this issue.

Have you tried the following command in fastboot?, fastboot flash recovery (name of your recovery file).img
Make sure you have the right recovery file for your device, example: openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7.img

Yes. Multiple times. I've done everything I can find on the web so far. It's almost like the recovery isn't sticking (Not sure if thats possible.) Maybe I need to try and get S-Off?
SOLVED!! I had to use the Sprint Version of TWRP. It worked the first try!

Did you fail to mention that you tried entering the recovery, because you cannot enter recovery? I almost never use fastboot for anything but entering recovery once I've installed twrp.
Why were you trying to install a recovery if you have twrp installed already?
I'm honestly baffled on the amount of users having issues with their device.

Hey Guys,
I just decided to install Twrp 3.0.2-2 and root my XT1092,
I have been facing issue right after flashing twrp, i select Recovery option in bootloader. Which just shuts down my phone.
After that i try to access recovery by booting into fastboot mode which again gives me a shutdown.
Later i discovered i could access stock recovery when my device is booted into the official mm rom. "adb reboot recovery"
Please help me guys. I tried fxz'ing and retrying the whole process. with different methods to no avail.
i even tried just rooting by only booting recovery "fastboot boot recovery.img" which again gives me a blank screen.
Any help would be really appreciated.

So you put the phone in bootloader mode:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-2-victara.img
Then you use only the volume rocker to select recovery (not the power button).
If the phone boots into stock Android, TWRP will be overwritten with stock recovery (which is useless), in which case you'll have to repeat the above.
same issue
on Verizon. Bootloader unlocked with code from Moto. Trying to use Windroid to finish up twrp install and root. I got a message in bootloader about mismatched partition size. tried ADB commands and said it installed. still won't work. no idea what to do next. was thinking of relocking and starting over but I would rather not. any suggestions? Thanks!
I have tried that as well. Used the volume rocker buttons to select recovery. I end up with a blank screen.
Tried fastboot flash recovery.img and I even tried mfastboot flash recovery as well.
Device just doesn't go to recovery after flashed through fastboot and selecting recovery.

Is your bootloader unlocked? Maybe you should try reflashing the full stock firmware, and trying again.

Thanks a lot mate,
I had gone back to stock again. Finished with the recovery process.
I have been using the power button to select the highlighted option :silly: my bad.
Thanks for stressing that out.
