Hey guys, I got a 20 notebooks from a friend, his father had a lab, that closed. the specs are:
IBM ThinkPad R51 2887-AVG:
CPU: Intel Pentium M Processor 715 (2M Cache, 1.50 GHz, 400 MHz FSB)
LCD: 15" TFT 1024 x 768
CHIPSET: Mobile Intel 855GME
GPU: Intel Extreme Graphics 2
IBM ThinkPad R61i 7650-D7G/D6G
CPU: Intel Core2 Duo Processor T5450 (2M Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB)
LCD: 15.4" TFT 1280x800
CHIPSET: Mobile Intel GM965
GPU: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
hp Compaq nx7300:
CPU: Intel Core2 Duo Processor T5500 (2M Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB)
LCD: 15.4" TFT 1280x800
CHIPSET: Mobile Intel 945GM
GPU: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
Lenovo Y510:
CPU: Intel Core2 Duo Processor T5450 (2M Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB)
LCD: 15.4" TFT 1280x800
GPU: nVidia GeForce 8400M GS
RAM: 2GB
HDD: 500GB
Only the Y510 has a charger, but not battery. Other miss HDD, RAM, charger.
How much can I get for all of them? I tested each one of them, and they working fine, also I don't have a battery for each one, but the batteries I have, has a very little wear on them, if it's important. I plan to sell on eBay, as I used to sell my stuff there, and also, second hand market, at my country suck. Anyway let me know what they forth, thank you for help.
IBM R51: 100~150$
R61i/nx7300: 150~230$
Y510: 200$ (I still have one of them in my room, my first computer with discrete VGA . All of my PC before that's enlighted with Intel crap onboard GPU )
Really? Hmm, just to be clear, they don't have hdd, ram, charger, but again, I have tested all of them, with some spare parts I have, and they 100% in working condition, add a ram, hdd and charger, and you good to go.

I may add 512mb of ram, but I don't have enough, for all of them.

Thats pretty nice. I do recommend you get a graphics card, those accelerated graphics suck. Lol.
True, but right now for my needs it's fine I'll probably get one when it's cheap and when I need it. Mostly use Linux these days.

I would agree with you. But I don't think it ate mine. Sure his processor is faster, but I acquire more RAM than he, so I personally think mines faster. His P4 might be 3.4Ghz, but mines quad-core at 3.0 Ghz, and theres 2 of them, and my RAM is DDR3 at 1000Mhz, while he's stuck at 533. [: And look at my graphics cardS, while he has a graphics card.
Don't get me wrong, his computer is a beast, but he has a little bit more before he gets me.

Wait. Did I forget to mention, take my computer and multiply it by 4 to get the one working computer? It's 4 computers hooked up to one monitor and each of them are combined with each other to work faster to achieve more. I call it. My custom home server!

some motherboard off of newegg that had plenty of sata and ide connections and built in graphics (don't really play any hard core games on my computer)

Second one for sure an intel i3 is good processor its dual core but it has hyperthreading which makes it act like a quad core I personally have an ausus laptop with an i3 the 370m processor model it has 4gb of ram and 500gb of hardrive and the graphics are run thru the processors gnu and it gives me 2gb of graphic processing but since its processor runed it takes them from my ram but still I run a couple of games on it and she runs em good and the ate card on those is a shared processor card which uses ram also not like a stand alone card which doesn't need to take from the ram

You'd probably could play these games. I played COD:MW1 on a 6600 processor (dual core) and NVIDIA 230m.
I'd suggest that you go for the i3 if you can afford it.

Thanks! I've been considering a new graphics card, mainly for more outputs not for gaming, that way I can eliminate my USB to DVI adapter, not sure I want to drop the money though.
Here's my gaming rig (oddly enough, the only gaming I do on it is minimal CS1.6):

Why 460? 465 is better . I got mine today, but got the blue PCB one so I requested an RMA so I can get a black PCB and make it a 470

Acer Aspire M1100
AMD Sempron 4000+ 2.6ghz
1.25 ram (ye i know lol)
ATI Radeon X1200 onboard
hitachi 160gb sata hdd
maxtor 120gb ide hdd

Not really a gaming PC, but it was cheap and I was to lazy to build myself. The GT 420 is horrible for gaming, but I'll replace it with the HD 6570 low profile soon enough.

I am going to build a computer but its going to take some time, I was wondrring what I should use I was looking at MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr III 2GB(Non Ti), or Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870.
This is my current setup; HP 6214y:
AMD Athlon II x4 620 @ 2.6GHz
8GB DDR2
Radeon HD 6770 @ 900/1300
Antec Earthwatts 650w PSU
My New Build:
NZXT Phantom 410
Gigabyte 990FXA
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz
AMD FX 6300/8320?
GPU?
Same PSU or Bigger?
2TB HDD WD Green
Asus 21.5" 1080p LED
My plan is to be able to upgrade in the future as well as, to game, daily tasks, etc...
Should I hold out till next year for the newer card series(Gtx 700 vs Radeon HD 8000)?
Mmm, you'll find your answer HERE!. Read it real carefully.
I had already posted it there to the reason I started this 1 is because possibly more people look at it and basically just make it a gpu thread verses a whole computer questions related to thread.
