Hello, i want to go back to stock rom on my galaxy s5. I am not bricked or anything like that. Every tutorial i look at, it involves using odin, and i cannot do that. I am on the Extreme Debloat ATT V1 running 4.4.2 kitkat. I don't have a md5 file to flash yet because i do not want to download a wrong file and screw up my phone. I don't have a computer at the time, so is there any way i can just download the file straight from my phone and copy it to root and go to recovery and wipe the device and then flash? thank you!
Please someone

After rooting and installing safe strap I installed a custom rom alliance rom everything was running good until I tried to update the rom updates and themes . My phone never went into recovery or doesn't want to boot into recovery. I tried to switch it to stock firmware with Odin but I all always get fail or it doesn't do anything . That's what I get when I turn on the phone
First s5 paperwieght. Hopefully someone can help this guy. I mean damn that really sucks.

In Odin what all boxes did you check to flash the original firmware?
when trying to flash the stock firmware with Odin, are you booting the phone into download mode or recovery mode? make sure its in download mode...

Personally I would try flashing each individual file I.e. bl, csc, etc. Try combos make sure your in dl mode and have drivers installed
Good luck

I believe you have to skip the BL file, as in do not flash the BL file. Plug all your files but the bl file and flash them. Because of the bootloader being loacked, it seems it will failed because it can't actually flash the file. Here is a great thread to get you started: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785363
Good luck. Report is it works.

The phone is not totally bricked. The correct firmware needs to be re-flashed, as what's been said. You used the wrong one, as well as the wrong Odin. You should be using Odin 3.09.
Hello I searched and couldn't find an answer basically I rooted my note 3 with root towel and safe strap unfortunately i didn't back up or back anything up was kinda drunk lol so at this point I can't seem to flash anything I see the galaxy note 3 on the booting then the safe strap shows up and it is giving me two options recovery or continue ... If I hit continue nothing happens ...black screen now if I hit recovery I'll be in safe strap recovery but can't see to flash any NC2 rom anyway at ths point I rather like to go back to stock ncu and start over any help will be greatly appreciated!!
Hello no one here can help? Please!!!
I am having the almost same problem a you, with the exception that I can still use my phone right now. But I can't install any other rom or even use my backup that I made in recovery. They just keep failing. I can give you a copy of my backup that I made maybe that will help you. Just pm me if you want it OK.

I ran into a similar issue. I messed up and learned the hard way to make sure and run a backup before messing with my phone. In my case, I make sure to run Nandriod backup and make a full backup to my external sdcard.
As a suggestion, you can always restore to MLG using the n900aucumlg one click (by designgears) 4.4.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2619941
You can then simply update the modem using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2698464
Did you install busybox. The order to do all that was 1. Towelroot. 2. Install busybox. 3. Install safestrap. If nothing is happening I would suggest to boot into stock recovery via power, home, volume up (or down I forget which one it is) and just factory reset like that. It should erase everything and start you fresh

FYI, I would also check out the source from where you are loading your ROMs. Since I swapped over to a different SD card, my installation problems have been cleared up.
Hello everyone,
I have an SM N900A on 4.4.2 and it's running DynamicKat6.1. That being said, I had hoped to come back and see an easy way to get my phone basically back to stock. I had anticipated using the older method using Heimdall but it seems that doesn't work anymore, and so I have kind of come to a loss. I don't know if it's possible for me to get back to my stock MJ5? Or if there is some other way I can achieve a stock setting just so I can ease my way back into exploring my devices capabilities again? If so please let me know what you all think.
Look in the general section. They have Odin flash able tar files there. 4.4.2 4.4.4 and 5.0. But before you so. If you want to root. Do research.

Thank you for that advice. I have downloaded the flashable files and odin 3.10.6 but I have gotten errors trying to use both the all in one, and the other file set. Is there a guide to this that I am missing? I am currently looking into it more but any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Use Odin 3.0.7. And of you down the all.in one home tar file. Open Odin click on pda. And search for the tar file add then press start. Also phone must be in download mode. Turn phone off. Hold home power and down volume button. It will.pop up

After following your advice, my phone seems to be stuck in a constant restart loop, and can't do anything when I make it to the home screen. I will have to look into this, but in the meantime if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
Edit: After flashing the wipe set of files, I was able to get the phone in working order. Thanks for all the input
Welcome man. Sorry I forgot to tell you after flash using Odin boot into recovery and wipe data. My bad. Glad to hear you got your phone up and running

OK this is beginning to annoy me greatly. I have the note 3 n900aucueoc1. My boss gave me this phone because it all of the sudden "broke". OK cool, a free phone I thought. Wrong. Not cool.
I figured out the problem has to be a screwed up efs folder because the phone won't read a sims card. The broadband version and imei are "unknown" and the Version is custom. Heres the weird part though. It isn't always custom. Once in a while when it's restarted it will load and it's version Will be official and everything seems to work.
The problem I am having is apperently, this phone cannot be rooted. I have no way to access and edit the efs folder. If it can be rooted please enlighten me because I've tried everything.
Any answers?? Help is GREATLY apprecitated!!
Hello. Your only choice for root would be a downgrade to 4.4.2, Install Towelroot, SuperSU, Safestrap & Busy box. If you want rooted 5.0 you'll need to flash Walter Whites rooted 5.0 OC1 using Safestrap.
OK awesome.. thank you.. I'm guessing the problem is the efs folder then? Now I just need to figure out how to downgrade. I'm sure there's a post on here somewhere about that lol.

In the general section there is a thread called "NC2 Odin files" or something like that... Download those.
Also, you don't need root to edit the efs... Download qpst and qdxm... I can't post a link but just google it
Awesome thank you. I found the downloads but it says it's for the galaxy s3. . Will it still work? Also why does my device switch from custom to official randomly.. like I said sometimes it works, or appears to anyways. Like right now the mode is in custom but everything appears fine.. is this a problem with the efs? Or something else entirely?
EDIT: OK wow I downloaded both of those but have no idea how to use them.. Google here I come. Answers to my other questions much appreciated.. I would think if my efs folder was messed up it would never work but why does it work sometimes and other times I get all unknowns?? Help please.
my friend has this phone, and he is having lots of issues, im thinking something is corrupt. i have been looking through the different threads trying to figure out the best route as i dont own this phone. i remember in the fascinate GS1 days, i would just download a tar and flash in odin with a repartition file to start fresh again. im getting lost in these forums looking for the files i should get, and the procedure i should follow.
would someone mind leading me to the proper procedure and files to the most relevant stock rom please.
Before trying to reflash stock, confirm the bootloader on the phone to ensure that you flash the same or newer ROM.
Could you list the firmware in order from oldest to newest for me please? I'm having trouble finding a list... Man it sucks trying to catch up on a phone from so far behind.

the phone is on oc2 right now.. 100% stock. im having trouble locating oc2 odin tars and pit. did they ever get pulled? and if not what baseband\ tar would be safe to flash to?
You may be able to flash This: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/n900aucucnc2-odin-files-t2838117
or this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/100-stock-lollipop-5-0-n900aucueoc1-t3069609
thanks
do i need to include the pit? i thought i read somewhere not to include pit on the 32gb model. that may have been in the international forums though.
A pit file is only needed if Odin can't read the partition information.
There is only one version of the att note 3.
Thank you very much. Everything went smooth. I did the 4 file flash method as what I read seemed to point to that being the best method. The phone works great again.
