Had the opportunity to play with the device today at Best Buy. First impression is picking this device up feels amazing in the hand. The build quality is superb. It feels very premium and solid. I haven't felt any device like this since the iphone 4S. Its also nice because the device isn't freakishly thin and actually feels comfortable in your hand.
The screen is the next thing you'll notice immediately. No other smartphone even comes close to this baby. Color accuracy is spot on and OMG is it bright! Text is so sharp and clear it just bounces off the screen. I actually think it was a little too bright, but that's better than not being bright enough these days.
Touchwiz seemed, for the most part, pretty zippy, definitely faster than the S5's UI. Of course Best Buy and Samsung's demo mode constantly running helped bog things down a bit, but it wasn't really that noticeable. I saw some lag with the Samsung keyboard, but again, nothing major. The new multitasking thing was pretty cool, and seemed pretty fluid, but there is always room for improvement here.
Seeing both colors in person, I probably prefer white. I am still a little undecided, but the white just stood out more, I don't know.
Enjoy the pics...

Unleash the best
Happy I got mine unleashed at home
If it actually looked like it does in the pictures then I'd get the black but instead, the black looks grey in real life.

Yeah I noticed this too. I wish it was really black. Oh well.
White looks SO good.
Btw. I am not sure did you paid attention but when you touch back cover of the white how it feels compared to the blac? Is it the same exact soft plastic or different?

Yeah my pictures did justice for the white lol. But I went with the black, preferably because I've had a white device for a year and I miss black.

Thanks for sharing the photos. Cannot wait for the Canadian stores to get a demo up!
I saw the note edge at bestbuy. It looked very nice made me double think note 4. But don't want to wait for the release of the edge.

I'm not sure if the other guy actually has held both in his hands, but they don't feel the same. It's just like the Note 3....the white is more slippery and the black has more grip and is more tacky. I've held both and there is no doubt they are different.

I went to my local best buy just now and the back of the white is slippery and felt more plastic. Similar to the white note 3. There was a black note edge next to it and the back of it was grippy like my note 3. I could only assume the black note 4 is the same as the black edge.

I saw the note edge today and really liked the look. If it was mass produced I might of jumped on that one rather than the regular note.

Maybe they did it on purpose so that dirt wont easily stick on the back of the white note 4

I thought about getting it too but It was a good 1/4 inch wider so it was more harder to handle that the already hard to handle note 3.

I hate the branding. It really takes away from the look of the phone.
Anyways, can't complain too much. This phone rocks. I cant wait for root. I'm going to make a tweaked build.prop for everyone to use. I'm sure I can get it to benchmark better than the SGS3. So who cares I guess, all phones these days look alike practically.
Yes that att branding pisses me off too!! And all that space could have been used for bigger screen!!!!

No.... just no. I really wish people would stop saying this. You're all .... anyway:
There's a big black bar at the bottom for the same reason there's a big black bar at the top.
A) to put your hardware. It's gotta go somewhere. Bigger screen on top of the hardware, would've meant bigger/heavier phone.
B) There also has to be big black space at the top of the phone for the ear piece and the camera.... It has to match at the bottom, or else the screen wouldnt be symmetric.
Try this with me. Just for a second:
Hold your phone in landscape mode.
Imagine that you didnt have big black areas at the top or bottom
You'd have nowhere to rest your thumbs, and your fingers would be on the screen.
Also imagine how the screen would look offset to the bottom of the phone.... EW.
It matters less in portrait mode because you can squeeze the phone between your fingers & palm naturally.
When in landscape mode, you'll have to use two hands, and holding it with friction would be uncomfortable and unsafe.

I could careless for a screen larger than 4.3" the Atrix HD 4.5" is perfect.
I know there is hardware under the logo area. Also on the top end you have the notification LED, front camera and light sensor.
The complaint with the Death Star logo is that its right smack in the middle like the Iphone home button.
The Atrix HD looks really clean without buttons, but the logo disrupts the clan look and feel.
No one is really crying about it. Its just a frustrating after thought on behalf of AT&T. They could have placed it on the back with all that other serial number and LTE information is stamped.
I know that moshi screen protectors will cover the logos so you cant see them. I had one on my Atrix 2 and it was a really clean look.
I'll just have to wait for Moshi to make one for the MAHD.
So far I just have a universal one that only covers the screen area.
I got the screen protector at the AT&T store, its great, covers the whole front of the phone, but it leaves a window for the deathstar. i'm probably gonna put some black something under it to hide it eventually. I think it's subtle enough. but it would've been much better on the back.
I promise you that wasnt added there by designers. it was added by a business person.

When I was watching some of the reviews on youtube, I thought the AT&T logo was a physical button. Why does AT&T have to slap their
logo on every phone they have? I have the Samsung S3 from Rogers and there's no logo on the phone. Pretty much all the Canadian carriers
don't put their logos on the phones now because everyone was complaining about it. I hope the Bell version of the Atrix HD don't have any Bell branding on it. I have to get mine from Bell because it doesn't look like Rogers will be carrying it.
If you want a really good screen protector that will cover the branding check out the Moshi screen protector.
Moshi Black Anti-Glare
The preview shows a Atrix 2, but I placed a phone call for an order earlier yesterday asking if they had it and Customer rep said they had it online.
It's 25 bucks, but worth every penny. I have one on my Atrix 2 and it covers all the branding. You just plop it on, no need to squeege it, or spray it with water. You place it on dry and its guaranteed not to bubble.
I had a amber from a bon fire land on my screen. It melted the edge of the screen protector, but my screen was fine.
I just peeled off the protector and used a pocket knife to scrape off the burnt piece.
The protector is very thick, and it would help with the Atrix HD's super sensitive screen thats notorious for selecting icons in the middle of a swipe.

Huh? Chris said it "definitely held on to fewer fingerprints". Not more, but less.
I can confirm this, and the smoothness of the glass was on of the first things I noticed. The iPhone 5's display is extremely grippy when clean.

Actually the galaxy nexus was the first to be touted with the oleophobic screen. I don't have a problem with mine showing finger prints unless my hands are dirty.
Then again my hands aren't very oily and don't perspire much. YMMV I guess

I'll try to upload a pic showing Note2/iPhone 4S/GNex/Xperia S when I have time.
Just to say, the Nexus 4 screen is definitely Oleophobic, if you want proof take a non-oleophobic screen on an older device and spray some deodorant or aftershave (alcohol based) on the screen and watch it run/stick to the screen, rub it off.
Do the same on the nexus 4, it beads up bigtime.
The lack of screen smudging is one of the most obvious features as far as I'm concerned. My work environment leaves my hands a bit dirty most of the day but I've never noticed much of it being transferred to the Nexus 4 screen. It's certainly much cleaner than the Nexus 7 I'm using at the same time.
Shiny shiny.

My Note is a sea of ugly fingerprints all the time.
I clean it completely with a cloth, it becomes smooth. But even a small touch of fingers and it has a fingerprint like i rubbed grease on it
So my phone is ALWAYS covered in very greasy marks..
I hope my Nexus wont have that problem with my fingers
i hope that too
You guys realize that if you're comparing a brand new phone to an old one there is a bit of a "used" component to the comparison.
The Galaxy Nexus touted the screen treatment and brand new, it was awesome. You'd stick it in your pocket w fingerprints on it and it would come out clean. Very simple to clean...at first. After using it more and more, I notice the coating wears off and you can see the area where I do the dragging of my finger through twitter and web pages...that area is always the least clean area of the screen.
So most phones these days come with a nice coating on them, but it wears off. So yeah, the Nexus 4 is great right now, but give it a few weeks. The S3 did the same thing when I had it...looked great for a few weeks, then turns into a fingerprinted mess after that initial coating wears off.

I work for a major phone retailer so I have contact with all the latest phones when they're new and I think my Nexus 4 is probably the best in terms of not attracting fingerprints. Thought the back would show far more fingerprints too. Every time I look at the back I'm astounded by the lack of fingerprints.

Mostly agree, maybe I haven't used S3/Note 2 for long enough, only I didn't feel the GNex as good as the S3/Note 2 even when it was new, 'cos one of the first things I noticed about S3 was its outstanding glass.

Hi guys, I bought a decal skin sticker for my nexus 7 a few days ago from Stickerboy, and installed it. At first, it looked kind of weird but I think it's because I was so used to the black nexus 7. Now after a few days, it looks really nice. It feels like the tablet actually came in white.
You should also get the extreme version because that one will cover the back entirely, so it looks nice. I didn't get the centre screen protector. Not only it costs much more after that, I didn't know how it would work, like if it's a separate centre protector or if it's connected to the white front as one piece. If it's the latter, I think it will be better though as the sticker is actually thicker than I thought, so you can definitely feel it when you glide your finger from the sticker to the screen.
Anyway, I still like it a lot.
Ask me if you guys have any question!

Hey,
http://www.stickerboy.net/pages/nexus-7-1st-gen-skin-series this is the link for all the types of skin for nexus 7 1st gen.
What I have is this. http://www.stickerboy.net/collectio...lth-matte-antibacterial-nexus-7-1st-gen-skins
This is the super smooth finish version, but there is also the antibacterial one with grainy textured version for white as you'll find. I'm not sure how that one would look though. There is also this. http://www.stickerboy.net/collectio.../products/white-leather-nexus-7-1st-gen-skins Leather white. I personally think it would look a little bit weird with the texture, but not 100% sure.
I like the one I got for the most part. It's very smooth and feels nice, but when the tablet is warm, and your hands are also sticky, fingerprints stick to the back, and it kind of gets sticky from your hand, but after a short time, it just comes back to normal, smooth. and not really noticeable fingerprint. Just when the tablet is warm and you hand is sweaty.
Hope it helps!

On the white one that you have, what's it like when it comes to general dirt? Does it wipe well, or does it easily retain dark marks and become dirty-looking quickly?
As for the link to the other skins, some actually look pretty darn cool!
Does it scratch easy? How about the corners? did it require using a hair dryer to soften it up? Im always worried that the corners will start peeling

Hey, I'm very sorry for late reply! I was expecting a notification from Tapatalk or something but there was nothing.
This one I have is very very smooth feel. Wipes super easily. Anything that gets on it, dirt, grease, they gets wiped very easily. But because of that, maybe it's not as grippy. But I don't mind personally.
Hope it helps!

As with my previous comment a few seconds ago, sorry for late reply! I haven't had any scratches yet. It seems pretty durable. Yea, I had to use hair dryer to soften it up the corners, then apply the corners. It's actually pretty simple. Just like you, I was worried because of the fact that I need to use hair dryer, so I first didn't buy this, but I was so temped, and decided to try. And there is a very helpful tutorial video on youtube, specifically for nexus 7 2012 version. It shows you regular fit and extreme fit, and for extreme fit, it will show you how to use hair dryer to get the corners. I followed that and it was pretty easy. Also, the video said, if you got it wrong, you should intentionally damage the skin and straighten it to reapply the corner. But I didn't do this as I was worried, I just peeled off the mistaken corner, and blow dried it and it softened up, and I just re applied and it worked fine.
One important tip, was that when you apply the corner as it was shown in video, you do the center of the corner first, then do the sides of the corner (you'll get it when you watch the video). You have to KEEP applying the blow dryer until you finish applying the corner. What I mean is..you should NOT stop the blow dryer after it seemed softened up. Keep applying the blow dryer until it softened up AND you have finished applying that one corner. Because when you stop the dryer, and apply with your finger, it will harden very quickly, and it will have wrinkles after you apply. I had this problem, and I peeled off again in the corner, and tried again, and it worked perfectly.
Hope if helps!
I had a skin on one of my older phones before. There is one thing people should think about. It didn't cross my mind until after I got the skin. Screen Protectors. The screen protector would have to go first, but you won't be able to take off the skin since the screen protector would come with it. LoL!!
This looks nice, but I replace my screen protector a bit often since it scratches. Guess I won't be getting this. =.[
New Dbrand skins put on my S7 Edge as it is too slippery and has too many logo's on the back. Also next time you get the chance, turn over your phone and look closely under bright light below the Carrier Logo & S7 Edge Logo and you'll see faint fine printing "don't throw this is the trash" and garbage can graphic, kinda like what you see when you took the past phones back cover off. Don't believe me? ....check it out yourself. To me the carrier & brand logos AND that fine printing cheapens the phone. Looks good from the distance, but cheap up close. really bugged me, besides it is so slippery when holding it...so I fixed it with a Dbrand skin

Next time you get the chance, turn over your phone and look closely under bright light below the Carrier Logo & S7 Edge Logo and you'll see faint fine printing about three lines and a small garbage can with a circle & X going through it, kinda like what you see when you took the past phones back cover off. Don't believe me? ....check it out yourself. To me the carrier & brand logos AND that fine printing cheapens the phone. Looks good from the distance, but cheap up close. really bugged me, besides it is so slippery when holding it...so I fixed it. I like it, so that is what matters.
However I might take off the carbon fiber on the front... not sure yet.
Anyways, thanks for being so brutally honest.
You can barely see the fine writing... I think that looks better than covering the back.
But whatever, each to their own!

Nah... that bugged me too much as I kept seeing it in bright lights... cheapened it too much, besides it is way too slippery too.

Why do you continually stare at the back of the phone? I would rather stare at the screen, personally and not get OCD about something that is barely visible except under the most extreme lighting circumstances.

Because it's there and it bugs me and I do see it from time to time. Besides it is very slippery to hold and a big time fingerprint magnet. It's like my Vette, I can't stand dirt or fingerprints on it. So I gave you three good reason. You must be an average joe user if any of those don't bother you

Unfortunately, all the writing and the "don't throw this is the trash" graphic is an EU requirement. I wish they left it off the US phones, but it's a lot easier to just make one part than two.
As for being slippery and a fingerprint magnet, I have to agree. But the silver titanium is so sexy I can't bear to cover it up with a skin. I'm using a clear, thin case.
Ghost Armor has a matte front and back film screen protector. That might make it less of a fingerprint magnet...

Here is what I'm talking about... UGLY!!! and slippery. I'll leave the front as it is, take off the carbon fiber, (after all, that is what you see & use the most) but the back I like much better with the purple skin and it has a nice grip now.
This looks much better, doesn't add bulk and keeps the Edge regular shape as it is a skin, plus it is not slippery as it is real slippery with the stock housing. The front I left alone as it looks great.
Leaving the front of S7 Edge as it is...
Some of you slammed my skins I put on my S7 Edge... sorry, but I like it very much and so did a couple managers too. One was at Verizon store and another was at Best Buy, however I did take off the carbon fiber on the front and left it as it is, but was thinking of putting a Zagg's HD screen protector on it. However, I think I'll hold off and getting a screen protector for now as I was at Best Buy today looking at the Zaggs HD screen protector and the sales manager who was impressed with my purple skin. He even took a picture of me with the purple phone in hand with my purple gear S smartwatch. He said I don't need a screen protector... (made me promise not to tell anyone at the store as he is suppose to sell, not talk out of...) promptly took out his Note 5, grabbed his car keys and proceeded to scrape hard all over his screen and tap on it hard... no scratches at all, asked if I wanted to try it on his phone. I said I believed him LOL I was impressed! Anyways, I ask him why he did that and he said my phone looked too nice to put anything else on it. So, I thanked him and went on my way, didn't buy the screen protector. Saved me $25 plus $10 installation.

I updated a pic in post #10 one of the three reasons I went with a skin on the rear, too many logos & fine prints on rear.
The other two reasons for the skin was it is too slippery and all the phones now are either black/sliver/gold/white.
I happen to like red & purple. Samsung use to have some great looking maroon red phones:
Ok, glad you are happy with the result. I still don't like it, but it is your phone.

Yes it is MY phone and I love the results... and I do not like all the crap they put on the back of the S7 / S7 Edge.

Here is my review of the official OnePlus 3 Tempered Glass Screen Protector (3/3T) direct from OnePlus AND after about six weeks of usage. This screen protector has some huge pro's and some huge con's and I find I can't seem to say something positive without turning around and saying something negative. So I'll just jump right in and say it is the strongest screen protector I have ever used out of over 15 devices I've owned. BUT this strength means that it the phone is heavier by 12 grams, thicker by .6mm and can interfere with some phone cases due to its edge to edge size. I had to buy another phone case because my thin one kept pushing against the screen protector and injecting air bubbles. ARGH!
When applying the screen protector the black/white border, depending upon the color of protector you purchased, pretty much hides any air bubbles you might normally get with other screen protectors. BUT the black/white border also cuts off the right and left-hand side of the screen to where your text gets cut off (see image below for an example). Due to the thickness the fingerprint scanner is also recessed making scanning your fingerprint odd and a little less accurate. I found that I actually get more fingerprint scan errors.
The oleophobic coating makes sliding your finger across the screen a delight. Even my Pixel XL wielding friend had to agree that it was nice. The edge to edge protector visually is the best looking protector I have used which is another plus. Listed below is a quick summary of my Pro's and Con's.
The screen protector is great in these areas:
Fingerprint and smudge resistant
Finger glides VERY smoothly
Covers most everything edge to edge
Cut outs for front camera, speaker and fingerprint scanner
Very strong
The screen protector is not so great in these areas:
Cuts off the left-hand and right-hand side of the screen
Heavy in that it adds 12 grams to the 158 grams of the phone
Thick in that it adds .6mm to the 7.35mm of the phone
Isn't compatible with some phone cases (too wide, I had to buy a different case)
The thickness makes it strange on the finger print scanner area
Costly compared to most screen protectors
In summary I am removing my screen protector after six weeks of usage. I do wish I could get my money back but in the end it protected my phone well during that time. But every time I read an article where the first letter of every line was hidden I was reminded how much this thing frustrated me. When I realized my phone case was larger than I wanted, because I had to find an alternative case, I was reminded once again of how much this thing frustrated me. When I try to unlock my phone via the fingerprint scanner but get a read error due to the added depth of the screen protector, I am reminded, well you get the idea.
I'm sure others will, or do, love the OP3 screen protector from OP but it's just not for me.
Pretty much my same experience. Only bought it because I thought they had fixed their problems when they put it back on their site. LOL, no. They did not. I'm only keeping it on because I don't want to spend money on another screen protector.
The only time I notice the edges is on select websites. It usually isn't an issue
My big issue is that I ordered 2 and they only sent 1. They don't want to fix the issue. I've been back and forth going on 3 weeks now. I requested they check shipping weight, since it departed from their facility. They keep saying the same stuff over and over, telling me they aren't going to open an investigation. I've let them know I'd be sharing my experience. I like the products I receive, but I can't support a company that steals from its customers, and this one stole $20 from me.

I can appreciate that it isn't so noticeable on most websites. For me the image I had attached of the cut off screen is from an app that I use daily so I see the flaw every day. Also now that I have taken the screen protector off the phone the display is noticeably wider. I feel I have a wider phone even though it's probably just a few mm different.
This is a very important feedback as I was planning to buy the same under the impression that it should be perfect as made & sold by OnePlus directly. Now I will think twice before ordering one. thanks for the review.

Hum... of course it's a question of taste. I've the transparent Orzly but I dont use it. The phone is fat and the rubber contact it's not sexy I think.
Of course it is a personal choice. I'm using Spigen black case since I bought OP3. May not be the best out there but I kinda like it. Now I'm looking for a transparent case that won't turn yellowish or change colour in time.
Hmm, can you link one site that you can not see those letters you wrote?
I really dont see any problem, on any site or app I use, only in recovery, but that is very rare, and I dont mind that.
I would like you send me the link because I want to see are there maybe some v2 I have that is better than yours, I'm really happy with mine, its perfect.

This is not a website but rather an app called "ip cam viewer". But that is just one aspect of the items that I dislike about the screen protector. There's the weight, the width/height of it, the thickness and the cost. There are positives too but I believe I listed my perspective on the pro's and con's.
Honestly, everything that you view on your screen is being cut off with this protector. It's just how much of the readable space is being lost. I tell you now that I have the cover off my screen is wider. It's like a have a new phone.

not with the official curved tg from oneplus. it has adhesive on the whole thing, unlike the ones with dots or halos.

I couldn't agree with this more. But sometimes when your girl is wearing bootyshorts and a low cut shirt and it's 0° you gotta get her to cover up or shell get sick and die. ???

The protector cutting off pixels at the edges of the screen would be a, "deal breaker," for me. :crying:

What about clear version? Smoke black probably won't turn yellow because of its color. The base part is made with a fiber-like material in both clear & smoke black types and therefore it will also won't turn yellowish.
