[Q] [Help] Bootloop after ROM install D405 - LG Optimus L90

Hello everybody,
I am using a L90 D405 with the new FW v10c, I was rooting my device with the purpledragon method. It worked like a charm. When it came to the unlocking I had my problems. I used the L90_D405_v10a.zip because it was the right device number but not the right FW. But it worked somehow.
My first question is, was it wrong to use that aboot? Which one should I use the v10c (which is for D415)?
Now come the second step to this. I downloaded and flashed the new carbon ROM, because it is the only one which was made for D405. When I flashed I wiped everything like I was used to with other devices (tab3) but when I booted up I was stuck in a Bootloop, so I flashed again w/o any wipe and same result. I am using TWRP
At what point did I do wrong?
My device is not bricked and I have a TWRP backup, which is good.
Currently I am flashing the CM11 for D405 and it this one works well.

There is no need to patch the D415 aboot or abootb partitions. D415 comes basically unlocked out of the box. So V10C may have been the one to use. If you're booting, then there's no issue. If you had flashed the wrong aboot or abootb patch you would have a brick. LOL.

It's always a good idea to format your /system partition when changing between OS versions or flavors. IE: From 4.1.2 to 4.3 or from Stock to CM.

So no one has a idea why cm11 build for d410 works but cm11 build for d405 (the phone I'm using) stucks in boot?

I solved this problem myself by flashing the newest update of CarbonROM. Even front camera is working on D405

I use @Quarx cm11 or @shoxxy carbon for my d405n. Works both good, on carbon you have front camera as mentioned.

[Q] I messed up the RADIO on my i8190L and now stuck in bootloop

Let's start with a little background as to how I got into this mess
- I had a perfectly working i8190L running SlimBean 4.3 from Maclaw (and I should've left it alone since its the wife's phone)
- I wanted to try out the new SlimKat 4.4 (http://get.novafusion.pl/?id=955)
- After a clean flash of slimkat, the new ROM was running fine after I completed setup EXCEPT baseband was 'xxxx'
- I rebooted into recovery and flashed GT-I8190_modem.bin-XXAMJ3-update2.zip because it was in my sdcard. I thought flashing a new radio would change the baseband except now I'm stuck in a bootloop with NO ABILITY TO BOOT TO RECOVERY!!!!
- I can only boot into Download mode, so I can still ODIN flash the system
Can someone suggest how/if I can fix this? I'm just kicking myself for turning a fully working phone into a brick with my wife breathing down my shoulders
my working setup was TWRP 2.7, SlimBean 4.3 and I had no idea which radio the i8190L came with default
I created a nandroid before all this mess, but I just need a way to get back into Recovery
You downloaded the wrong modem file. You need the one for the I8190L, but you flashed one for the I8190.

Sorry but you are going to sleep on the couch tonight I suggest this:
You must download the original rom from SamMobile, install it through Odin and then install again through Odin the Recovery and through Recovery your "old" new Rom. When you are in the new Recovery check for the nandroid backup that you made . If it isnt there look for the couch because the phone is with the "old" new Rom without any of the past data.
Btw if you want you can upgrade your baseband from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2526831
Good luck
No recovery at all or bootloop in recovery as well?

Don't bother trying to flash it if nothing happens, drain the battery, return to seller and get replacement. I got free replacement from Amazon with my bricked rooted S3 mini.

just to clarify... what is consider "the original rom from SamMobile"? There are plenty of versions and country codes to choose from... I just wanted to make sure I'm downloading the correct one.... i've done enough of using the wrong files already

It depends on what country you're in and if the phone is locked to any specific carrier.
If it's not locked then I believe any i8190L firmware will do, just to get the phone running again.

It was a tough decision for me, it was either stick to a ****ty BlackBerry or get a free replacement and sacrifice the data. Some of it should be synced to your Google account

You could also try to reflash just recovery thru Odin and see if it works.

You are in Canada but the L version is for the Latin America countries. So the firmware must be from one of that countries. Which one i can't tell you. You should ask your seller.
[problem solved]
Ok, I was able to restore the phone with /u/jstath1972's suggestion
1. I went to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and downloaded the latest 'L' firmware
2. I used ODIN to flash the firmware
3. the phone REBOOTED!!!
(once the phone rebooted, the rest was easy)
4. powered off and ODIN flashed the lastest TWRP
5. powered off and booted into recovery
6. RESTORED NANDROID so wife would stop giving me the look
7. updated baseband as suggested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2526831
THANK YOU THANK YOU :good:
side note: i wish my work was this effective in resolving technical issues (just my 2 cents)

[Q] (Q) Problem with Carbon and Mahdi Rom

I 've tried both roms (clean install) but only the front camera is working (model d405n)
I 've tried with CWM and TWR but with the same result.
Is there any fix for that?
No idea... Have you done a full wipe?
(If you realy want, you can restore everything with kdz en start all over again?)
We have one guy on polish forum with the same issue. Strange thing, as if there is more than one d405 variant.
Yes i did a full wipe.
I restore with kdz, root again, full wipe, install rom, and the problem still exist
is there any kernel i can use?
I use the latest CarbonROM (CARBON-KK-UNOFFICIAL-20141004-1556) for my D405n and front camera works. Are you sure you flashed the correct bootloader image (boot.img)?
i can not find a link for that build. Can you please post a link here?

MOTO G 4G XT 1078, cant install stock : version downgraded for primary gpt

Hello people, after I installed PA titan on my XT 1078 ( I only realized later that in fact mine is THEA not Titan) and this custom ROM is designed for XT 1068
now I cant revert back to my stock rom, due to some partition error
version downgraded for primary gpt
image file is too large
Although Paranoid seems to install fine and works, but I have no signall at all, neither both sims works
I need some help here, it seems a lot of people like me is experiencing this very same problem, but everything is too fresh and yet I did not found a plausible working
solution, I would be really greatfull if someone would come up with some genious Idea.
Best regards

that gpt error is not important.have the same error if i try to downgrade from lollipop to stock kitkat but all works fine after boot.revert to stock then reinstall rom .that should fix the signal problem.

Thanks for the reply , you tried ro revert with these errors and managed to work? Mine cant even load the OS, I get stuck at bootloader logo, I can only install custom firmware trough recovery .Sorry to ask, but how did you managed to load the OS with these errors
Never mind people, I've managed to fix my problem, I installed the correct TWRP recovery for my model and managed to install CM THEA and everything is working flawlessly.
The problem is that installing an incorrect recovery will mess the partition, I am sure I can go back to stock now if I use ADB to reflash, but I dont want do go back anymore, there is a bunch of new options avaliable im CM will wont even want the simple stock rom never again.

[G800H] No SIM detected after upgrading to 6.0.1

So I've tried installing the various 6.0.1-based ROMs, but every single install results in my phone not detecting my SIM cards. I've looked around for a bit on the various subforums, and it might have something to do with the baseband-version I'm using. Unfortunately, I can't find a single post that explains which version I need or whats steps I need to follow. I've tried these:
Using Odin, first I flashed this stock Indian 4.4.2
Followed by this stock Indian 5.5.1
Flash TWRP via Odin, full wipe and install a 6.0.1 custom ROM + GApps via TWRP
I've also tried a variation with the Russian 4.4.2 / 5.5.1 branch, but no luck there either.
In the end, my G800H will boot up fine, do the whole "starting apps" process and launches the ROM setup introduction, but it fails to detect any of the inserted SIM cards.
I can restore an older version just fine and the SIMs will function again, so I'm guessing it has to do with the firmware... Can anyone tell me which firmwares I need to flash and in which order? Or should I wait till a western European 6.0.1 firmware is released?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
You have G800H dual sim, right? Then you need the first Russian Lollipop ROM, which ends in BOI2. You may need to flash it twice to make sure you have the correct bootstack. If your SIMs aren't working with it then first install KitKat (twice again, if needed) then go to Lollipop. Then flash TWRP and then custom ROM.

Heya, I remember you giving me this reply in another thread (The SlimROM one? Can't recall).
So just to be sure, you mean this order?:
2 x Russian 4.4.2
2 x Russian 5.1.1
Custom ROM
I'll give it a shot, but I doubt these will work - why do I need to flash the same ROM twice? Is this described somewhere? Some file that doesn't get written in the first pass?
Thanks again!
Welp, apparently I'm an idiot. I did what I described above here, and it worked - both SIM cards were detected and everything works perfectly fine (CM 13 by JackEagle). Thanks again for your advice, @lfom - I was skeptical, but flashing the files twice seemed to have done the trick, for some reason I still don't understand.

Many reported downgrade success only after second flash. My guess is Odin gets confused somehow with downgrades and only flashes the full ROM after detecting partitions flashed the first time.

I have no idea how many versions of the G800H/DS there are (Maybe some branded versions by AT&T, Verizon, etc), but unless you bought it from a provider, you probably have an international version. And yes, that is the first firmware you will need to flash - make sure you flash it twice, followed by G800HXXU1BOI2, also twice. After that, use Odin to flash TWRP again and install whatever custom ROM you want (After a full wipe, of course).
Like I said in the SlimROM thread, it's pretty hard to brick these Samsung Androids. While the stock Samsung ROM may be crap, the bootloader, in combination with Odin, will pretty much always allow you to recover your phone. Just make sure you don't do anything dumb like pulling the power or dataconnection while writing and you'll be fine

Well, that's as good an explaination as any, thanks! :highfive: I only hope this thread helps other G800H users who want to upgrade.
amazing! thanks for posting this fix... i spent 36+ hours over 2.5 days trying to fix this! don't think i've rebooted so much in my life!
initially i was double flashing with a Polish 4.4.2 before the russian 5.1.1 BOI2 but it didn't work until i used the exact same base roms in SomeDuder's post... then i used resurrection remix 6.0.1

Appreciate your help on my LG G4 H811

Hi, guys:
I really need some help to make my LG G4 H811 work.
I flashed latest lineage-14.1-20170404-nightly-h811-signed.zip but my camera app "Keeps Stop Working". I tried other camera apps, none of them work.
I also flashed cm-13.0-20161010-NIGHTLY-h811.zip, same problem
I even flashed stock (but rooted) ROM, LG-G4-H811-20R-Stock-Debloated-Rooted, still the same problem.
I am using twrp-3.0.3-0-h811.img (the latest version for H811) and flash my phonh using ROMs from SD card.
Before I flash anything, the camera worked fine out of box.
Should I bring back stock ROM with LGUP/KDZ? However, I really need some 3rd party ROM working because I need multiple-user feature which is disabled in Stock ROM.
Any suggestion is very much appreciated.

thank you for the kindly reply. The issue has been solved by flash Stock 20p KDZ first in download mode then flash the same LineageOS through TWRP. Not sure which step really fixed the issue though.
I do have issues of video recording for 4K and 1080p, which is OK to me for now.
