as tittle said, when i using my laptop and connected to my phone, the wifi hotspot will frequently disconnect.
did you try wifi sleep policy in setings to make it stay awake?
is that will affect the wifi hotspot ?

Guys which Rom will you guys recommend to use with good Wifi Hotspot connection?
Im currently on ICS nemesis sometimes it allows device to connect sometimes it doesnt allow device to connect...
I tried Jellybam Wifi hotspot connection is not working.
I need Wifi hotspot to work as i have a tablet with only wifi.

What happens if you set up your VPN, connect to it, and then enable the Wifi Hotspot ?
Hi, the Wi-Fi hotspot connects to the wireless client but contains the original internet connection not the VPN'ed connection from the Phone.
Connected to Wifi, when I want to create a local hotspot on my Vivo, it disconnects from Wifi as soon as I switch on Hotspot. Can this be changed? Can I share my wificonnection via a hotspot?
You can't. This how these hotspots work not only for Vivo phones, but for the rest also.
You can share your mobile connection via a wifi hotspot.
