Which app did you download. I've tried cydia impactor, towelroot, framaroot, vroot (pc and phone), and weaksauce. None were successful. I'm thinking we just need someone to compile a recovery like twrp or cwm for the desire 510. There are recoveries for the 610, the 816, and the 820. But there are none for our 510. We need to get someone thats up to the task. If we got a working recovery we could easily just flash the su binary and we would have root access.

Won't be home til Saturday but I'm set up to build twrp.. If anybody's experienced with it here lemme know cause I've only ported it twice. One for my fascinate and one for my HTC one sv (the latter I'm hoping helps me with this phone. It's very different from the sv partition layout though)
But I can port it.. May need help fine tuning if it needs though

Only the European version is 64 bit we were mislead about this device. If you have the Euro one congrats, because as far as we can tell there is no 64 bit American model.

thats not true the american models have the older version of the snapdragon cpu
Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 - EU model
Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 - USA model
Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 - EU model
Quad-core 1.2 GHz - USA model
Adreno 306 - EU model
Adreno 305 - USA model
as you can see the USA model is a 32bit processor and the EU is a 64bit processor..
you can find all the info and full specs here
http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_desire_510-6608.php :good:
I wish that were true but the 64 bit version has 410 processor our US variant has the same processor as the desire 610 which isn't 64bit. .
Both Images were pulled from HTC's Site. And a phone call to HTC has confirmed this. The lady on the phone told me that Australia has the 64 bit variant
could HTC 510 USA version from Virgin work at any network in Canada
Is it possible mange HTC desire 510 4g lte to work at any network in Canada?
First of all, the device doesn't provide enter code window to unlock the device by GSM SIM card.
Could I unlock the CDMA device by wipe the ROM? If so, is there any ROM available? In Canada, we use 1900 frequency. I never wipe my cell phone before. Could anyone help me to give me a step by step guide?
many thanks
If you got succeed, could you please let me know how you have done it. Many thanks.:victory:

Greetings.
I am asking for everyone's help, since I can't seem to find an answer to my question either on XDA or Google.
I currently own a European Version of the HTC One that apparently does not support 4G (It's the "U" version, not the "UL").
I have learned that HTC One has the same hardware on LTE and GSM versions, hence my question.
Is it possible to enable 4G LTE on a GSM Version of the HTC One?
I know that for this to be possible, one would have to have some pre-requisites:
1. - S-OFF
2. - MID that supports LTE
3. - CID that matches MID that supports LTE (maybe SuperCID in fastboot and in ro.cid works too, I don't know)
4. - Flashing a Radio that comes from a 4G LTE Version Model
Is is possible to flash a 4G LTE Radio on a GSM Version and get 4G or will I brick my device?
Has anyone tried this?
Apologies in advance if the answer is around here somewhere and I missed it.
Can anyone help me?
Not sure. From the phone dial *#*#4636#*#* send. Select phone information. About 1/2 way down you'll see where you can turn on/off LTE. You see the WCDMA PERFERED? That's a drop down menu. You'll see where you can select 4G LTE.

Are you sure it's a European version because if it is than it should be a UL with MID PN071000 and thus have LTE capability.
Thanks for the quick reply
@ ghostryder12:
Thank you for your quick reply.
I mentioned that I saw no option to enable LTE because I tried that same method. And nothing regarding LTE showed up.
But once again, thank your enlightenment and help. No option for LTE there for me.
@ rider5512:
Thank you also for your quick assistance.
Indeed, it's a Euro Model bought on a UK seller with UK Stock on eBay.co.uk, but unfortunately after some adb'ing it reports it's the "U" model and not the "UL". I haven't tried flashing a "UL" Stock ROM to see if it errors out or flashes. I wanted to check with you guys first.
@ ghostryder12 and @ ghostryder12:
I will check all details when I get home and do a little adb to re-check my MID.
Thank you for everything so far.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1859060
It's worth contacting the seller and question what he sold you as the U variant is for the Asia market.
If the vendor told you that it's a 4G LTE European model then you could ask for a refund or exchange.
This table here shows the variants for each region.
Thank you again
@ rider5512:
Thank you once again.
That's exactly where I started my search, but I could not find an answer for my question.
The thing is that the seller did not state if it was a Euro or an Asian version.
However, when questioned, he stated that he received his products from a Euro warehouse.
I am not suspicious of the seller, 'cause he has a great reputation indeed. It just seems that there are some "U" versions floating around some EU countries. Maybe I happened to get one of those. Sucks for me.
Anyway, the question remains to see if I can change this by flashing a 4G radio onto it.
Once again, I must thank you for you help.

In which case I'm unable to help with your original question.
There is a thread in this section I think where people are trying to enable different frequencies for different regions so it may be worth a look there to see if any progress has been made as it is a similar problem to yours.
Really sucks for me. lol
@ rider5512:
Thank you again for your advice and all your help.
I've checked that thread you mention and I can't seem to find anything.
I'm not really up to flash a wrong radio and then get a €600 black paperweight.
I guess I'll just wait to see if anyone can give me a definitive answer.
Thank you again.

i've a qyestion plz. How can i know that i've the 4G version or the 3G version because till now i havent bought one but i'll get it in those 10 days thanks
@ ahmedalbasha:
You gotta have adb and fastboot on your PC and HTC Drivers installed.
There are a whole bunch of threads regarding that, so I'm not gonna cover it here.
Here's how:
1. Boot into bootloader (volume down + power button) or connect phone to pc via usb, in adb type : adb reboot-bootloader
2. You're now in bootloader
3. Type fastboot getvar mid, you'll see your MID.
Here is the list of MID variants available:
4G LTE Supported MID (UL): PN0714000, PN0710000, PN0712000.
4G LTE Supported MID (WL): PN0720000 (Sprint US Version - CDMA)
4G LTE Supported MID (Japan): PN0740000
3G ONLY MID (U): PN0711000
Hope this helps
Can anyone help me with the original question?
I want to change my nexus 4 for a moto X but I hate to lose the "nexus liberty", in other words I don't want go back to a smartphone that I can't get root. I read in XDA forums the jcase root for motoX 4.4 version (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2538896) but in the first step he said (I quote):
"You need to get the camera update from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ghost/list.php and flashing back to it. You must be 100% stock before continuing."
I'm from colombia and i saw that Skrilax_CZ have the ClaroColombia image, but i'm not have that carrier and if I get the motoX will be from other carrier named TIGO Colombia, so my question is that the ClaroColombia image works with the TigoColombia phone. If not, someone can help me to find the TigoColombia image?
Yours will probably be boot loader unlockable so you can just flash root
If you are bootloader locked then it will not let you flash anything other than what you phone is supposed to have to feel free to give that a shot. You can probably bootloader unlock however and save yourself the trouble of using the exploit to gain root. Also once you are bootloader unlocked if that devices is model xt1053 you can flash just about every image out right now for tmobile or other xt1053 carriers.

OK, finally I have all the information.
The motoX of Tigo Colombia with the camera update patch is:
Model: X1058
Baseband version: MSM8960PRO_BP_2323.020.90.00R
System version: 139.12.37.ghost_row.Latam.en.CO
Compilation number: 13.9.0Q2.X-116-LCX.37
The phone is from a friend of my
So as i see it (correct me if i'm wrong please) I have three options for root:
1- Don't do it and life with that
2- Do it via Custom recovery and superSU-chainfire
3- Via SlapMyMoto xploit with the images of Skrilax_CZ (http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ghost/list.php)
The option #2 implies the use of TWRP or another recovery. I actually have a nexus 4 with a custom recovery and when I upgrade android via OTA the phone goes to a bootloop, with the nexus it's easy to solve because google publish the factory images. With the motoX it's another question...........
The option #3 implies use the factory image of Skrilax_CZ (http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ghost/list.php) but as i said when I open the [Q] i don't know what factory image i can use. Hopefully with the info above someone can tell me what image i can use or if i can't use any at all.

so i take it the at&t version is out to.
Will it be possible to root it without overwriting the existing recovery? When I get mine, all I will want is root access on the stock build after I've run the HTC unlock. Otherwise you run into problems getting OTA updates as released.
I had a similar issue with my HTC One X, but thankfully was able to get the original recovery to push back onto it after installing the SuperSU app with the custom recovery. Would rather not have to wait until there are updates out there before I can do the same thing with the M8!

Try cm11 then since it's 32 bit because that phone must have come from the USA some how because the UK doesn't sell that version.it's not like you have anything to lose at this point.

It's right at the top of the page of the cm11 rom... If you're using the browser that is...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=7328#downloads
Better not use this then because it's not for a 610, now you're in the wrong forum lol.

sim lock everywere... yes no OTA and No bloatware.
And can we see instructions?
Whatever....it never happened
Just for future reference SIM lock on LG SD845 is build now with strict hardware dependencies based on Chip ID and signature. The only way of removing SIM lock so far, apart from using official operator SIM unlock methods is to re-solder chip from already unlocked SD845 device and refurbish the phone - so all those well known tricks of erasing some files cross flashing different roms etc. is not working any more. Just save your time and efforts...
Aw man that's awesome! So did it work? Did u succeed or not? Please tell us more.
I'm interested in crossflashing LG V40. I did that on LG V30+ twice. Here is the XDA topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/how-to/using-lgup-crossflashing-t3780969
My YouTube Tutorial:
I had LG V30+ (us998) on Sprint and all the bloatwares. I used patched LGUP & DLL file and flash ls998 witch is unlocked V30 kdz. Ot worked prefect. Then i tried to flash some another kdz file, didn't succeed, brick the phone. But then i use CHIP erase and tried to flash ls998 (unlocked) on it. And it worked but that delete serial number and other details. Bc i did chip erase. But phone worked fine at the end?
I'm assuming he either has access to the latest LGUP (1.16) that supports the V40 along with the .msi/DLLs needed, or has access to LG Flash Tool with the hard to find V40 DLL for the flash tool.
Either way, instructions aren't going to get posted from what I can see.
That's awesome though, have fun with that!
A man from Ukraine is already doing unlock sim for Sprint V40. For this, you do not need to do a root or unlock bootloader.

Where are you obtaining these "strict hardware dependencies" claims for the SD845 chips? From what I've seen, the G7 and V35 phones that are crossflashed in LGUP end up being SIM unlocked just like on the old V30 phones. Those are also SD845 so the "Chip ID" lock would not make sense. I believe the old modem data is STILL stored on the modemst1 and modemst2 partitions on the V40 with the Octoplus flash method because the only way they are being crossflashed at the moment is through Octoplus box, and the G7 and V35 are being crossflashed with just LGUP. It seems LGUP's REFURBISH mode clears this old modem data when crossflashing, as I have had similar SIM lock or no signal issues on the old V30 that were only fixed after using REFURBISH or flashing appropriate modemst1/2 partitions.
