Hi,
I have following problem with my SGS2 GT-i9100:
as a satisfied omnirom user, I kept my device always up-to-date using the open delta update. But now updating doesn't work anymore, while I can still download and patch the new nightly build. When I reboot and flash it (TWRP 2.7.1.0) it gets stuck at the lock screen. Rebooting ends with getting stuck at the Omnirom-Bootscreen and I need to flash the backup.
It doesn't matter when I flash the device with the latest omnirom, I still can not update (same problem as described...)
currently using 4.4.4-20140825-i9100-NIGHTLY (due to stability, last ~properly working version)
Kernel version
3.0.64-OMNI-g7b7f0fb

I'm currently in South Korea, this sgs2 is from Austria. My device's name in play store changed somehow from i9100 to SK Telecom Samsung GT-I9100. Seems weird to me :S is there any link between this and my problem? Just a question....
the thing is here, that I can't use odin to flash, the usb connection is not working anymore and yes, I installed the drivers. Even in Ubuntu I can not access the phone anymore, which used to work fine....
any solutions...?
Many thanks in advance!!
Hello,
I am also using Samsung galaxy S II GTI9100. I had a similar problem on august. For some unknown reason opendalta was displaying no notifications and manual check always resulted in no update being available.
Then I have flashed aug 11 nightly manually and since that all is working. Sometimes if I have a bit of spare time and I am in a good mood for flashing I will let opendelta to do its thing and currently I am running 20141026 without an issue.
Your message is a bit older than the version I am running so most likelly you have already flashed a working build. I will update to the current build in the mean time to see whether the issue might still be happening.
Greetings
Peter

Hello,
A collegue is running Android 2.1 on her Galaxy S. I believe it has the codename GT-I9000. She is currently running firmware version PDA:JF3 / PHONE:JF3 / CSCJF1.
Since Samsung released their Froyo update some while ago and it is believed that Froyo significantly increases the performace. This is a stock installation. The phone isn't rooted.
When I connect the phone to Samsung Kies (2.0) it reports that there is a new version, like it is supposed to be. Screenshot here.
However, when I initiate the upgrade the process fails at Downloading (0%) and reports that the server returned '403 Forbidden'. Samsung fails to respond for more information about this message.
I'm hoping that someone here knows a way to possibly fix this altough this seems like a server-side error. If not, is there a way to manually upgrade the phone without losing contacts, media and installed applications?
Thank you in advance;
Jorijn
bump bump bump
So i heard about the 2.3.3 updated for the tab and i decided to check via kies
And knowing (from my SGS) that i have to update first with the old update to get the latest i decided to do that (the one from January or something)
But when i try i get an Error Saying that Kies could not be administrator permission from the Tab
Is this a known problem?
PS: anyone know how to change the language in Kies? i would prefer it in english because it makes it easier to describe problems
some users over at swedroid have some issues with sgs. no solution yet
Sorry. not allowed to post link
So i changed computers (usually do kies updates on my laptop) and its working fine
currently half way though the firmware update
Unable to update via Kies as well
I am getting the same message. States that I do not have the permission of the P1000 device administrator.
Was trying to update an unlocked Euro P1000, using the newest version of Kies and Windows 7 Premium. Also tried to use my XP to do the same, gets stuck on the screen after hitting the update button, or comes back with an "unknown error."
I hate Kies, but am would rather not root and bootload as I'm selling this in the next month or so.
Think I am moving away from Samsung. Love their hardware (have a Galaxy S and Tab), but hate their support and software updating.
Hello,
I can only suggest you to look at Overcome rom in the developers section.
There is an amizing guide explaining you step by step how to upgrade your tab and at the end you'll have a much better 2.3.3 rom than Samsung stock one.
If you still want only Samsung rom stop the update process when it says to install Overcome and you'll end-up with a very clean rooted stock 2.3.3
best solution seems to be a clean install of Kies. Uninstall, clean registry, download new from samsung, install. Kies must be center of gravity when it comes to bugs :/
Dear all,
Two days ago I got the notification update through Kies to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy Note to the latest firmware 4.0.3 ICS.
I did but sadly there are some problems with the version I installed on my Note.
It flashes sometimes, the colours of the screen get mixed together, sometimes it switched off by itself, it lags a lot.
So, I want to "re install" the ICS version all over again, I believe it is corrupted or something because when I used to download the firmware the internet was so bad at that time.
Please, how can I re install the firmware. A Fresh Installation.
Thanks.

Hy guys,
I'm facing some issues with my Z3C. I bought it 2 weeks ago, unlocked bootloader, installed twrp, flashed CyanogenMod 12.1 Nightly on day 3. Updated CM twice with OTA since then.
My problem is that the "sim" card (GSM/LTE) is randomly not noticed by my phone, like if its removed. I checked the sim tray, everything is stable and well seated, the sim is also OK, never had an issue with it. I just have it in my pocket or on the desk, pick it up to do something and there is already a No SIM icon on the status bar, and "Emergency calls only" If I lock the phone. Only a restart solves it.
I could not find any noticeable trigger which would lead me to the source of the problem. Sometimes its OK for 2 days sometimes it happens 2 times a day. The really frustrating part is that when the sim "disconnects" the phone starts to heat up significantly. I usually only notice it because my phone is burning my pocket. Also it looses around 20% battery before I notice it. After the restart everything is fine, the phone cools down.
Went to the Cyanogen forums for some possible solution for the problem, they suggested that I should try to update my baseband to the latest version, and if that still doesn't help, do a full wipe / clean install of CM nightly. I tried downloading the latest firmware using FlashTool and XperiFirm, creating an ftf, and flashing only AMSS_FSG, AMSS_FS1, AMSS_FS2 included into the flash ( I only wan't to flash the baseband ?!?).
My question would be: Anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it somehow? If not, anyone could please help me with a small guide how to ONLY update the baseband of my Z3C (D 5803) running CM 12.1 nightly on twrp recovery?
When I tried the flash above, my baseband version did not change. Currently I'm on "8974-AAAAANAZQ-00005-40" Baseband version, and I would like to move to the latest most stable one.
Thanks for the help in advance!
If it were my Z3c, I would flash back to stock completely and then reflash with Cyanogen. This is a device on which you have the freedom to do that, and that gets the job done safely. Backup your CM install, and then flash everything.
I updated my moto x4 from Oreo to pie using flash using boot loader. my boot loader is still locked and software status is official too. It still is unable to update to January security update. Please help !!
yes I have also facing same issue... i have also try by safe mode but shows something not right .... reconnecting to server... might be Moto update Services try to connect moto server which has not able to connect due some issue in server... hope so this is issue...
you can connect to moto support team let me know what they are say for this issue.
They told to reset and try again.. to do that I got to backup my data which LL take time.. so on hold as of now
Yup, same here. I got the Android 1 Google Fi model (Bootloader unlocked, unrooted). I'll try again in a week and see if it resolves itself.
And another ~ bought 2, mine showed the update 3 days before my wife's but won't start (download and install now, via wifi only and it reverts back to the settings screen). She got the notification last night and it took first try. First time I've had this issue in the 4 months I've had the phone, just glad I'm not alone here....
Since you're official/fully stock, there's not really any alternatives besides factory reset or await for full image is available to manually flash via fastboot method. You do not need to unlock long as you stick with motorola firmwares. Links in FAQs thread.
Nothing new here? Mine keeps nagging me to do the update, start it and it shows getting to 17% on step 3 of 6, then just kicks me back out to the setting screen.
This is my first android phone (from a flip), couldn't get lineageos to work with my provider (RedPocket) and have neutered as much of the google crap as possible. Right on down to disabling all permissions for Play Store. Could that be part of my issue?
It has been nagging me since last few weeks, no solution apparently
New Update:
Could actually able to fix the issue by installing a vpn and set it as a USA based server.
My phone was bought in US and I was using it elsewhere. After using an USA based IP it downloaded the update and voila.
