Hi, just wanted to open a topic where we can all share wallpapers to our one device.
You are more then welcome guys.
Hope we will all enjoy. ?

Over 700 Wallpapers all over proper resolution. 1920x1080 vertical or 2160x1920. Won't find a better collection than mine. Folder labeled "My Wallpapers" are made by me with an exception of a few that i so heavily edited I put them in this folder rather than the main folder. All of the wallpapers were edited in Photoshop to ensure best quality with adjustments to sharpness, noise reduction, jpeg de-artifact, clarity adjustments, and color adjustments, removing of unwanted objects and more. Many photos that were scaled up I added a noise filter over to look sharper. Took a long time to build this folder up and I sometimes take over 30 minutes carefully adjusting the images to look great with masking and pretty much everything Photoshop provides not just the basic stuff like I listed above.
finding blurred wallpaper..
any recommend?

Can we get a wallpaper thread started? I think the wallpaper dimensions of the Captivate are different from other phones right? Also.. how do i go about deleting the stock wallpapers, and adding some to replace them?
You can download or put an image in the sd card. Open it up in Gallery, Select Menu, More, Set As
You can then set as Wallpaper (or Contact Icon) and it'll even give you a scaling box for cropping to the correct dimensions.
My favorite so far:

Dimensions
I think the wallpaper dimensions for the crop are ratios of 6:5. So that means 720x600 will fill up the entire crop box, as will 1080x900. Of course you do not have to use these dimensions for your wallpapers but then you get parts of it left out. Just what I have found playing around with it on my own. Hope that helps.
Here is what I made (Yeah Im a Rush fan)
Here are some I made yesterday after browsing the new uploads at Stock Exchange. I resized them to 960x800 at 96 dpi and they look pretty good on my phone.
the one i use. i organize the icons to follow the outside edge of the car so its unobstructed.

what module is that for the clock?
there is a great app in the marketplace called, Backgrounds
its pretty much a full easy access web search of a ton of wallpapers, you can change category, apply directly from the app, or save the image and apply it later. I recommend you check it out.
yea that app is good has a ton of wallpapers
Does anyone know where the Captivate stores its wallpapers? I'd like to see what size/format the default options are, and put my custom ones in the same place, but I can't seem to find them. I'd be ok knowing where either the TouchWiz or LauncherPro wallpapers are stored.
Also, here's some wallpapers I cropped from images found through google image search (the originals got compressed by the forum, originals are in the zip file):
I'm currently using this one, got it of zedge

wallpapers aren't actually stored in any directory they're actually in the app.
go fond the stock Rom and extract it.
go to the /system/app directory and find the home app.
it'll be in a .apk format
you can rename it to .zip and extract it.
the wallpaper will be somewhere in there
I use this picture as my background. I took it while in afghanistan.

That looks like the Launcher Pro without the gradient.
Anyway I +1 the Zedge suggestion. It's got some great ones, especially some darker looking ones that show off the Super AMOLED quite nicely

Hi guys,
Well, after nearly two months of fairly hard work designing and (in some cases) redesigning, I'm happy to release my first pack of HD Icons to the Android Community. This is a project still very much in process, as I see myself adding more packs as time goes on...however I was happy enough with the first 68 icons to release them out in the wild.
For the more astute amongst you, you'll notice that I mentioned a zip file and readme file, etc. SORRY! My bad...I intended to do the zip file, then came across the possibility of a gallery and got so overwhelmed with the graphical possibilities that I clean forgot about the zip file.
This first post has now been changed, the zip file has been created (with the enclosed readme file), and can be found at the link below:
Download the Individual Icons here:
Visit the Icon Gallery
Download the Zip File (Full Icon Pack) here:
Full Icon Pack (with added Readme)
I genuinely hope that these icons find you well, and that you get a lot of use out of them. Please take a look at the readme file. It cant possibly explain everything, but I hope it gives you a start.
Regards
Mike
These are SWEET!!!!!!!!!!
very nice indeed.
If you ever get around to making more sets, I would gladly donate for a high gloss grey, or white with this kind of detail.
thanks again, wonderful work
Thanks mate...
Well, if you pm me or get me on gtalk, then we can talk about how much it would cost for me to convert all the icons into black and white versions
I've also just realised that there is no readme...I was going to zip these up.
Either email me or gtalk on [email protected]

thank you, these are killer icons. i really like the look of them. one thing i did notice when i save the icons to my desktop and then apply to my phone is that there are little white edges on the corners of the icons. is this by design? or am i missing something?
also, would it be possible to create an icon for the app drawer?
thanks again, really great work!
Top-notch icons, look great on my n1. If you're taking requests, might I suggest an icon for cyanogens DSP settings app or a graphic equalizer type look. Thanks for sharing.
Looks nice =)

Excellent looking.
Zipped them...
As long as you save them in .png format then the transparency should remain. If you save them in .jpg then you'll get white corners.
Is it all, or just some?
these are gorgeous
Awesome job Mike! I will be using these, thank you!
All saved as png at full quality/resolution.
Yeah these are sweet - thanks a lot for sharing with the rest of the community.
awesome! I would love to see a google voice icon! subscribed thanks so much.
Looks great..... looking forward to the second release

The set is INCOMPLETE (about a hundred icons). I do not wish to continue the development since I don't feel the need for it.
But I still decided to release it in case any of you still want them.
For those who wants to play a little, I've included a template so you can create your own icons yourselves. (See tutorial below)
Tutorial:
1. Open the template in Photoshop.
2. Select any icon you want and open it Photoshop. If you are one of those who are using my Simplified Upgraded set, much better if you use them.
3. Copy your icon & place it over the top of the template. Adjust the size & location of your icon so as to fit the designated area.
4. Save your artwork as png and you're done!
E n j o y !
For the welcome screens you can visit this thread.
Simplified Glass & template
And if you're still up to making a glass-like icon set, here's a few and a template.
When you're done, perhaps you can post some screen shots and inspire others of your work.
Go play!
EDIT:
I have attached a bigger template for better resolution. Just don't forget to resize it (128x128 or 90x90, or according to your need). Otherwise it will eat up your device's resources.
Looks good...thanks guy...

I am new here at XDA forum, and i have some experience with Photoshop, and i could not find any nice wallpapers for my Galaxy S (960x800) so i made my own ones from scratch!
I don´t want any donations or anything, people can download these wallpapers for free, i do it for fun, but leave a comment to show your appreciation!

is it bursting out or falling into glasses?
i prefer some minimalistic colors, but thats personal opinion
nice touch up though
When i made it i thought of bursting out, but when you say it, it looks loke both options and also, i think i am going to make this wallpaper in different colours (only red, only green, only blue) depending on how much the folks want it
so cool my friend

Make yourself a DeviantART account and upload it there with Creative Commons Liscense. That way you won't need to watermark your wallpapers.
Ok, man. Will do!
Looks great, please post back when you manage to create the non-watermarked version

Could you make it without the Android? I hate that guy in my wallpapers
Sweet designs man the green one is one of my favs so far!
Thank you!
You made the background aswell, since it's 3d?
Don't really like the bevel/outer-edge of the droid though.
The background i did not make all on my own, first the background was really light green with bad contrast (boring looking) then i got permissions to rework the background and i fixed a few reflections and some contrast and different colours..
And about the bevel on the droid, do you have any other ideas? (im just happy if you would like to help me improve it)
awsome!!! im putting the green one in my OO.
THIS TEMPLATE IS NOT CORRECT!!!
Please use the template in the following thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=993596
Ok so I increased the original template by 50% and created another PSD for those that want to use higher resolution images.
The new visible resolution for each desktop is 1764x1028 and the overall image resolution is 2616x1920.
It should be noted that the desktop area is NOT in the center of the image as the bottom status bar pushes it up a bit.
thanks for this. The wallpaper isn't the same when honeycomb only shows a portion of the wallpaper

No problem!
I am not really sure if its really anything different then other Android versions. Its really just that Honeycomb is meant to be used in landscape and I dont think that the crop tool has been redesigned to compensate for that.
My other wallpapers on my Nexus S, Vibrant and G1 all look chopped when the phone is rotated to landscape as apposed to portrait. Its still odd that the centered resolution for each desktop is lower then the native resolution of the screen in both dimensions. Its making me wonder if the screen really is 1280x800 native resolution.
Either way the template above works and keeps things centered for us.
Awesome! Thanks, works perfectly so far.

Dumb question for you....do you select green layer and resize the image within the template to that and save the whole thing, or do you resize it to the green area and then create another file?
Think I figured it out

If you are using the large template then the Green area in the center is the area of the wallpaper that is visible on the default center desktop. The red areas to its side are what you will see if you scroll to the desktops left or right of center.
If you are using the colors only to center your images, then hold down CTRL+; to bring up the guides, which will make it easier for you.

You need photoshop to use the PSD in the zip file.
Here is a JPEG of the template, it will not contain the guides but you can still use the colored blocks.
