Modules NOT downloading - Storage not responding - Xposed General

It seems no modules are able to be downloaded, the connection process just times out after a few minutes. Issue seems to be the storage location of the apk is inaccessible right now. I confirmed this on four different modules.
I've been using Xposed for at least 6 months and haven't had this issue before. As of earlier today when I goto update a module the download process tries to start and the download notification appears but the bar never fills and eventually it times out. I tried re-installing the framework and rebooting but still no luck.
Attempting another route, I went to the xposed repository to try and download the module updates through a browser and found that the apk download links are dead.
Example of one link:
http://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/ma.wanam.xposed_v312_021b48.apk

I'm closing this thread since it's the same issue as the one described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-repo-t2902533

T-Mobile Note 4 Problem Installing xposed Framework

I am currently using a T mobile Note 4 running firekat V4. After initially flashing Firekat V2, V3 and V4 I successfully installed xposed and was running wanam as well as YouTube adAway. Today I opened the xposed installer to check for updates to my modules and noticed the messages shown in screenshots 1 & 2 that "app version 58 was installed previously but app version "" was installed now" etc.. and "Framework not installed.." I tried to simply download the newer version of the xposed installer, install it, back out and tap framework, hit the install / Update button and reboot but it didn't change anything and I still had the exact same errors.
After multiple unsuccessful attempts the developer of the Firekat ROM tried to help. Over the last few hours he's tried to troubleshoot this with me. He advised me to use root explorer pro to delete all xposed installer files after uninstalling xposed. Redownload and install it and reboot.
Once reinstalled I followed the instructions in the main xposed sticky thread and it is still telling me framework not installed.
One thing i noticed each time I've tried to install the framework since reinstalling is that it asks me for root access even though i hit grant access every time I've been asked. I'm new to all of this but i do not remember being asked multiple times by the same app before.
i have tried to do classical installation mode approximately 10 times throughout the day and 3 times since installing the actual xposed installer app from the link posted here in the xposed forum. I have also tried the other methods of installing through TWRP. On the one method where you install through TWRP from a zip file I was unable to find the zip file to confirm the flash and install. I'm open to try whatever to resolve.
this worked for me
Exact same problem as you and this kernel fixed it

Good luck.
Works this on N910F too ? I have this Problem too

Need help installing arm64 sdk23 on HTC10. Installed but currently not active.

Hi,
My goal is to successfully install the Xposed framework on the HTC10. I have a stock RUU ROM, unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP recovery, and rooted it with Supersu with force encryption per Rootjunky.com videos on YouTube. Specifically, I'm using the xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64.zip, SuperSU-v2.71-forceencrypt_v2, TWRP-3.0.2-6-pme. Then I proceeded to install the Xposed framework and APK. It flat out dosesn't work. the Bin folder and log folders are empty and I receive "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?" I have verified my root is working with a number of other apps. I have tried resolved the issue by executing the methods listed in this article: Can't post links yet cause I'm a noob. And they didn't work. I have completely wiped my device internal and external and tried rerooting and reinstalling and I still get the same result. I also have tried installing older version of the Xposed framwork. I have spend days troubleshooting it and I can't figure it out. No matter what I get the Currently not active.
Some of my reading points to the SE Linux Mode being set to "Enforcing" being the culprit as to why it is not working. I have no idea what this is. However, I can confirm that mine is set to Enforcing despite me executing all three steps in the aforementioned article. I installed that lean kernel so it should be set to permissive I would think but Device Control app shows otherwise.
When I click on Logs in the the Xposed Installer, it says Could not read log /data/data/de.robv/android/xposed.installer/log/error.log. I can confirm that it is installing something because the DE.ROBV.ANDROID.XPOSED.INSTALLER directory is there. And all of the sub directories are present. But bin and log directories are empty which I find odd. I would expect to see many files in there especially the Bin folder.
Any ideas how to resolve this without a log file? I'm sure the HTC10 is arm64 so that shoudn't be the issue. any ideas why this isn't installing correctly? Is it the SE Linux Mode? Do I need to S-Off of something? Any help appreciated!

Changed Magisk, now stuck on startup splash

This morning Pokemon Go stopped working on my phone. I found this which said to use the "Hide Magisk Manager" option from within Magisks Settings page, and then delete the MagiskManager folder from the SD card. I did that, restarted my phone, and Go started working again. Oddly though, Chrome wouldn't work, and kept crashing with "Unfortunately, Chrome has stopped." (whether I was actively trying to use it or not). Off of a fresh restart I could open chrome, but if I tried to load any webpages it would stay loading forever.
To try and fix that, I went back into Magisk and hit the "Restore Magisk Manager" option, and restarted my phone. Now, my phone won't boot -- it gets stuck loading on the splash screen. I seem to only be digging myself a deeper and deeper hole with each thing I do. How do I get my phone back up and running?
I'm running the latest RR (I think it's 6.1.0?)
Flash the Magisk uninstaller from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ap...v7-universal-systemless-t3473445/post68966662
You should then be back to an unrooted state.

Have you tried reflashing your Rom?
Also, what did you expect to Halen with magisk, after you have decided to delete it's manager folder?

Repackaging and restoring the Magisk Manager should not have anything to do with the issues you started experiencing. If you can get your device up an running again (as already suggested, uninstalling Magisk might be a good way), could you recreate the problem and grab a logcat when Chrome crashes and when the phone get's stuck on boot.

Deleting the MagiskManager folder from the internal storage is harmless. It's just used to store downloaded Magisk zips, module zips and saved logs. It'll be recreated when needed. Pokemon Go have started to detect this folder and use it as a sign of a rooted device. Deleting it is one way of getting PoGo running again.
I'm trying to keep myself in SuperSU, is easier and compatible with almost any app, I know that development stopped. But I feel that Magisk is a great tool but can be complicated.
First try using your computer to create a file without a name and with disable_.magisk as an extension.
Kinda like. disable_magisk
And use TWRP to copy this to /cache.
See if it boots up.
Hello I have the same problem unauthorized_device_lockout

Hi i found a fix, you just need to reflash magisk patched boot.img from your phone(hope you backed it up) and the system.img / custom os (i didnt even have to wipe my data) lol

Updated Magisk after being prompted to, now have two installs of it?

Hi, first time posting to XDA and I'll try to be concise, but I am tremendously confused and quite frightful of having to reflash/factory reset my entire device.
I got Magisk 6.1.0(165) after my Xposed Framework became more of a problem than a solution a long time ago, with a basic desire of rooting my device to control what apps boot at launch and examine Wakelocks and run an ad blocker.
For a long time, I did not update after the headache of clearing Safetynet and getting things functional.
Magisk prompted me to update, and I decided to after I had installed a few new apps that I now wanted to block from running on boot, but I never got around to finding a method to prevent apps from loading at startup like I desired with Xposed, i previously just disabled or uninstalled the problematic apps.
Before updating, I used TWRP to run a backup and rebooted.
After the update, Magisk informed me that the latest version i had updated to, was not supported and that it would behave asif it wasn't installed at all... Great...
I downloaded the zip to my device's SD card, and after a reboot noticed that I had Two installs of Magisk. When I held the icon to view app info, one of them would behave as I expected, and the other would show me additional options like modules, downloads, superuser and hide.
When I opened the second copy of Magisk, the first one vanished from my applications tray and cannot be found anymore, and Magisk now shows it's green checkmark next to Latest Version v20.4 and Installed Version 17.1 but Safetynet gives me an API error.
Clicking Update Magisk Manager from the menu offers to install v7.5.1(267) but I am wary enough that I am unsure if I should proceed and am not even sure if Magisk has a module that I am looking for-- Something to control what apps launch on startup.
Will updating Magisk Manager show a new list of additional modules to be downloaded and perhaps something that I am looking for? Should I be worried about bootlooping my device and needing to reset it?
I once used the Boot Manager found on the Xposed Framework, but it's long since become non-functional and became the reason why I simply uninstalled what was bothering me, but now I want to keep the new applications that I have and disable their bootup on start.
Is Magisk the place that I should be looking for such a feature?

SOLVED [issue] Magisk module download error & SafetyNet API error

Hi, im running Android 10 with OneUI 2.5 rooted by Magisk v.21 on my Samsung Galaxy NOTE 10 Lite,
Root is working correctly, i have root access for donated FDE.AI, X-Plore file manager and etc..
Im using few Magisk modules, like Viper4Android and they works well too.
But, any atempt to download or install Magisk module from its own online reposirory ends with "Error downloading file", and atempt to check SafetyNet status gives me "SafetyNet API error" afzer hiting Ok to download SafetyNet API...
I searched on google, and here on the forum for similar problems, but i found topics from 2017 year (outdated)
Can anyone hp me solve this prob please?
Both those issues (module download error and SafetyNet API error) suggest that there are Internet connection problems.
There's been a couple of similar reports, but those have usually been fixed by clearing data for, or reinstalling the Manager.
Also make sure that you don't have any firewall rules or similar that might be restricting internet access for the Manager.
Thx for respone. I tried to delete Managers cache and App data too, nothing changes. I also tried to reinstall App, but no change.
About internet connection, yesterday I had to downgrade Magisk from v.21 beta to v.20.4 stable for unexpected random reboots 5times a day.. I done that in Magisk Manager App, selecting "Direct install (recommended)". Magisk downloaded necessery files without any problem and flashed it.
And, i dont use any third party security apps (antivirus, firevall).
So, any idea? After downgrade magisk reboots solved, here reported issue no.
No idea. A logcat might show what's up:
https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHelp
Heres my logcat, filters: level error, keyword magisj
Heres my new logcat, printed at error level verbose, filtered by keyword magisk.
I see only one problem, file permission (write permission), but where magisk wont write? Im able seriously give 777 permissions to this folder ?
Or did anybody see anything else?..
For now, nothing changes in my phone configuration.. FW version the same as in 1. Post, magisk v 20.4, actual stable magisk manager.. I also tried canary magisk manager, but the canary version wont load module list and crashed down at all, including UI.

I have not had any opportunity to look at your log (and the new one won't download since it seems like the XDA attachments server is acting up again, good thing there's a new one on the way).
But, that the Canary Manager will crash when you try to access the modules list is yet another sign that your issue is that the Manager cannot get an internet connection (that's a currently known bug).
Thx u for your time . So, its known bug, but is there some way to solve it and get magisk manager functional? Or its not a global issue and its not specific to each user
It's a known issue that the Manager will crash when you enter the modules download section without an internet connection. It's not a common issue that the Manager can't get a connection at all.
I still suspect that there's something on your device that is blocking internet access for the Manager somehow.
Have the same problem.Magisk Manager 8.0.2 on Android 9,Magisk is working fine, but i become no update info for modules and i cant download any module, but 3 days ago all was ok,weird.
I think, that is not any app blocking magisk internet connection. The last stable mahisk manager dont have any problem to load online module list, and download of magisk core is aleays possible, as install ing core too....
But, i dont have time right now for test it, it is possible to reboot to safe mode and there run magisk?
I still cant understand that some app blocking magisk internet connection...
Look at my screenshot of magisk manager latest stable version, the connection working, magisk showing modules wich got updated today......
Sorry, but i still hope, that magisk manager do not have internet connection error, in screen, he knows about the module updated version, but it still wont download..
Im ready for N770FXXU6CTJ2 update, im going to flash it right now... Im confused of magisk support,
Is that last one with the Stable or Canary Manager? There seems to be something weird going on, and there have been some similar reports.
I suggest that you switch over to Canary again (Magisk and Manager) and grab a verbose logcat when you have connection issues. Upload that to a new GitHub issue where you also make sure to give all possible details as to what works and don't work on the stable Manager contra what works and doesn't work on the Canary Manager.
That way, better eyes than mine might be able to take a look at it and see if there is indeed something going on.
Nevermind... See below.
I solved reported issue on my device...
The reason is, Lucky Patcher and blocking ads on device...
I opened LP, opened Toolbox/Block Ads and pressed Clear local hosts file... Now everything is working fine...
Ok... Nice to know I wasn't wrong. :good:
Sad to see that app being used...

I'm having an issue also with passing safetynet on Razer Phone 2 (Cheryl 2). Rooted with Magisk 22.1 and TWRP arter Kernel. Had a rough time getting the "new" all-in-one Magisk installed properly. I'm using adfree for an adblocker. I've cleared the hosts file and rebooted MANY times, to no avail. Thinking I may need to uninstall Magisk and go back to 20.4 and install the old Magisk Mgr. app. Any help would be appreciated. If you need log files, let me know. I DO have root as Ti Backup, ROM Toolbox, adfree all have root access.
