Hey guys,
I may just have the most stupid thing I could possibly do. I've got a soft-rooted Xperia SP (TowelRoot) and opened CWM Recovery to try to install Cyanogenmod. It cited I had to 'format system' and I rebooted the phone thereafter. Now it's stuck on the Sony Logo and I can't get it into recovery anymore. Even by force-rebooting via the hardware button on the back I can reboot the phone, but it stucks at the sony logo.
Please help, I haven't got a clue..
Update: I can get into fastboot mode. However, my bootloader is still locked.

when you wipe data the cmw is gone....best thing to do now is to flash stock ftf ROM via flashtool ...go here and panic
Well, I'm glad all android phones have a fast boot mode, which I was used to with my previous HTC One X. I Quickly fast boot flashed a new boot.img and I had CWM back on. Then I installed CyanogenMod and I was done. Pretty easy in fact.
I feel like this is going to be a long thread but I'll make it short as much as possible with as much details
I have a SONY Xperia SP C5303 stuck in a boot loop, it was given to me by a friend.
The phone was on stock firmware, android 4.3, unrooted, bootloader locked.
As he was using the phone while charging, he activated WiFi, after a while he activated Bluetooth (WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time) and then it just turned off, rebooted and stuck in the "SONY logo => Xperia logo=> Orange logo" boot loop and then it just fades away and blacks out and reboots.
After many attempts, he wasn't able to fix it and he gave it to me .
Now the first thing I did was flashing it using FlashTool with the firmware "C5303_12.1.A.1.207_AU" but still stuck on boot loop, the only thing that happened is that the Orange logo changed into the colorful waves animation.
I flashed it a couple of times more, the same method, but still, the same results.
Next thing I did, I updated it using SONY PC Companion, after the update finished, it was still in boot loop (ALTHOUGH, the lock screen DID appear but I was not able to do anything, and the screen faded away again)
So, I sent it to a repairer, here's what he have done :
_ He did something (?) and gave it back to me with 0 charge, so I charged it at home and when I turned it on, still boot loop, so I returned it to him.
_ This time, it ACTUALLY worked ! The phone came back to life, everything was working just fine, until I activated WiFi and I noticed that it's not working, then I activated Bluetooth as well (AT THE SAME TIME, remember what I said at first ?) then the screen just faded away and back to boot loop, I sent it back to the repairer and told him that he hasn't changed anything and that the real issue is that WiFi and Bluetooth do not work/cause boot loop when working at the same time
_ He revived the phone once again but the WiFi/Bluetooth issue was not fixed and he told me that there's nothing he can do anymore, and he refunded me.
I can't complain though cause all I wanted was the phone working !! I didn't care less about WiFi nor Bluetooth.
This morning, as I wanted to root the device, I tried the DoomLord Easy Rooting Toolkit, after flashing the first kernel using FlashTool (Yes, I followed the steps VERY carefully) and after the flash of the kernel finished, the phone is once again in boot loop, this time boot looping on the SONY logo only
So the conclusion is that the phone can actually be revived. How ? That's what I'd kill to know !! (Jk)
I tried flashing again the "C5303_12.1.A.1.207_AU" (4.3) but nothing, then I tried the previous firmware (4.1) but still nothing.
Sometimes, after the flashing, when the phone boots for the first time, the lock screen appears but fades away again (unable to touch anything)
SO PLEAAAAAAASE !! If there's anything I can do, please tell me, all I want is for the phone to work, hell to the data or anything else, also don't mind the warranty at all. And I'm not from the US, so there are no SONY service points here
There's a video in the rar file attached down there, it shows how the boot loop happens.

I assume you've got no recovery installed? flash the william's kernel elf in flashtool. This will give you a kernel which has recovery so what you have to do is download and flash Omni-X, Nexus Prime's omni (my personal favorite) or Paranoid Android. These are all LBL Roms so you don't have to worry about anything at all. Also flash the Super Su binary. I'll provide the links to all these if you want.
Indeed, no recovery installed and PLEASE DO GIVE ME THE LINKS !! I'll try again and again until it's fixed, although I highly doubt that it will.
If all fails, I will just send it to the repairer once again to bring it back to life once again

I know he can't flash the kernel since he's on a locked bootloader. But if he flashes the rom as soon as booting into the recovery, then he will be using the stock .207 kernel and the Rom will boot

maybe the phone will get bricked and not boot ...idk
Hi everyone, so recently i had my xperia z soft bricked after installing TWRP recovery, then i got it hard bricked after pressing a wrong button at the CWM recovery advanced menue which i installed after TWRP failed to install the CM 14 Rom. There was no sign of life whatsoever.
Using the testpoint method i flashed APPSW c6602 firmware, the flashing worked, and the phone came back to life, the led LIT. And the sony logo followed by the charging screen pops up when i connect it to the charger. However it doesn't go into flashmode using hardware keys it just enters charging mode this was also the case before i bricked it). Im clueless as to how im going to install a software on it without the flashmode. any help would be greatly appreciated. Update: flashed 5.1.1 firmware using fastboot from blinkenlights.
Phone boots enters menu, then reboots.
Installed TWRP recovery using fastboot. Works well. Now downloading CM13 rom.
UPDATE: succeeded in installing cm13! rom is working like a charm.
rebooting again in twrp recovery.
hello,
I rooted phone, unlock bootloader and flash custom recovery using twrp app then after rebooting phone it opens in twrp recovery then I reboot by selecting system reboot but it again starts in twrp recovery only plz help.

My phone is unlockboothloader, i just did not notice about that and accept the OTA update, then it started to stuck in logo, but i could still get into cwm recovery, after reboot many times, it was same then i clicked wipe data in cwm recovery then reboot again. This time it still stuck at logo and i cant access cwm recovery anymore. I tried to flash stock rom by Flashtool but it always announce that "Please turn on unknown sources and debugging" after running a bit. What can i do now? Please help me. Thank you
Use Sony companion to repair your phone

hello
I've recently found my old Xperia e1 dual d2105 and say I want to try to root this phone
so I tried to follow this.
but for the unlocking bootloader part, I used the instructions on the Sony website and successfully unlocked it.
then I flashed Philz recovery (I don't know if this is the correct term flashing). then I entered the custom recovery and everything as far as know was good.
so then I wanted to root by the same tutorial but when I entered the SuperSu it didn't ask for the update instead it said that the Su binary is occupied.
so my stupid mind suggested instead of trying to solve the problem go to the magisk website and follow that instruction. so I went there and downloaded the zip file then reboot and went into custom recovery and installed it. but when I rebooted the sony logo came and then I was stuck (i think it is called a bootloop).
so I detached the battery to turn the phone off and tried to turn it on but the screen is stuck at the Sony logo and some times it turns himself off:silly:
so I searched on how to get out of a bootloop but I had to get in the recovery mode (or flash mode I think) but when I press power + vol down phone starts up and vibrates and the light turns green but then the light turns off and I'm stuck at the Sony logo:crying:
so if there is anyone who can help me get out of this situation please respond :crying::crying::crying:
also, I tried to go into recovery mode with ADB but I got error: device not found
I have downloaded and installed the USB driver.
You have to go to fastboot mode, then boot twrp and flash new rom
