i9001 always boots to download mode - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a rather specific problem with this device (A friend gave it to me to see if I can fix it)
Whenever I turn on the phone, it goes into download mode (Android with "Downloading... Do not turn off target !!"), no matter if I try to start it normally, open recovery or download mode. Even when put on charger it goes to download mode. I tried reflashing the bootloader, reflashing stock and non-stock firmware, installing recovery, but no dice. Any solutions?

[Q] Help! Phone-!-Computer problem.

Odin crashed while I was flashing back to an eclair rom and now download or recovery won't work. I'm stuck at Phone-!-Computer. What do I do now!?
Does that Jig thing work or should I give my phone into be serviced?
Help me XDA!!
remove the battery for 10-15 minutes, and put it back in. try to enter download mode Volume Down+Home+Power
You don't need recovery mode to flash something, you need download mode (which normally should work). If you can enter download mode, you can flash a stock rom and it should be sorted.
If the "flash" process got interrupted when it was about to flash the bootloader, there might not be very much you could do, since without that bootloader you can't actually boot into neither download nor recovery, but since that image is really small, the chance that it got interrupted there is very small.

Darky 10.2 stuck in bootloop, can't go into recovery, download mode stays for 5 secon

Hi,
Title pretty much says it all. My phone all of a sudden just went into a bootloop, I can't go intro recovery to reflash it and i cant even get into download mode to resurrect it since it it will stay on only for a few seconds. Odin does not recognize the device even with samsung drivers installed and i used a few different usb ports and a different computer.
Is there something i can do? seems like the last days of the device...
Try this
-remove battery
-enter download mode(volume down+home key+power button)
-while in this position, insert the battery
See if it enters download mode and odin recognizes.
If this doesn't work, try USB jig.

[Q] Can't get out of download mode

I was running SlimICS v4.2 for a few months, didn't have any problems.
But yesterday my battery was empty and when i charged the phone, it went to download mode.(downloading.. Android dude with shovel)
So to get out of download mode I pulled the battery, but it didn't work. Next I flashed it back to stock(2.3.3), the phone finally started and everything looked normal, but now everytime when i turn the phone off it goes into download mode. The only way to fix it is to reflash every time. So is there a way to get out of download mode without having to reflash everytime? (and reinstall all my apps and passwords etc)
which recovery mode you use? Have you tried to change recovery mode?
a few months ago I´m stuck with getting out from recovery mode (" reboot system" boot me back recovery mode) . I use old TWRP and then I instlled latest version and then it workt.
Just one idea.

I use CWM recovery. But I'm unable to boot into recovery. When I press the power button to turn it off and after that hold the combination to go into recovery mode, it goes into download mode.

Phone boot in recovery mode automatically

Hi guys, yesterday i tried to install cwm and before i turned off the phone, i press the 3 buttons combination to boot into recovery but my phone still stucks at samsung logo, that's the first thing.
The second thing is before i get the battery off, i restarted the phone and installed a app called 'Reboot Recovery Mode' or something like this, and i opened the app, so the app told me "Are you sure you want to reboot into recovery mode? Y/N" and i pressed yes, but that's the problem.
Before the phone reboot it stucks at Samsung logo, so i know the problem is with the recovery, ok, i get the battery again off and trying to boot in normal mode and voila! the phone stucks at samsung logo, everytime when i put the battery on it restarts and trying to boot into recovery mode (and stucks at samsung logo), i let the phone like 5 hour without the battery to see what's happening, but nothing, the phone is trying to reboot in recovery mode.
The problem is, why when i power-up in normal mode the phone is rebooting in recovery recovery mode? That's happening everytime.
I tried to overwriting the recovery mode in download mode with odin, i flashed the stock recovery, but nothing, when odin restarts my phone, again stuck at samsung logo
Sorry if i make some typo, but i dont know to speak english very well.
EDIT: i think the phone everytime when is powered up is getting the last app process and trying to boot into recovery mode.
PS: adb don't recongnize my phone, just odin, and the only thing that i can do is to enter download mode, i can't open recovery mode...

Stuck in bootloop, I can't enter in download mode.

Hi
I have a Samsung Galaxy A30, SM-A305G.
I updated Magisk by the app, and when restarted it showed me "Error Validating footer", in the download mode, and it wouldn't let me start.
So I download for the firmware, and just flashed the AP file, the problem started when it rebooted and the bootloader warning appeared to me, then it showed me the Samsung logo and it reboots in an infinite loop. I can't enter into the download mode with Vol +, Vol - and connect the USB. I disconnected the battery and trying, but I could not enter the Download mode either. Also, the computer does not recognize the device. Some help?
Try to go into recovery mode by holding power + volume up
There, you can reboot into bootloader.
If you can turn off your phone then press togethet vol up and vol down and while holding it insert the usb cable in the phone and it will shows the download mode.
