Hi,
I checked the sbf.droid-developers site but the Rogers stock FW for 4.4.4 is nowhere to be found. Anyone know where I can grab a copy?
Thanks.
It likely has not been leaked yet. You will probably have to wait. ?

Sorry about the forum - I thought I was in Q&A. My bad..
KJ, I think I may have found it: http://www.filefactory.com/folder/dd05c058d3ff8dbe/?sort=created&order=DESC&show=100&page=1
I also filed a ticket at Motorola Support but don't think they'll be of any help.
No Rogers there other than 4.2.2. So that's very outdated.
The file is listed under "RCI"...

I'd want to be 1000% sure first. Ota was less than a month ago.

You're risking a lot if you try it.
Um... I was looking for 4.4.4 for my 1st gen Moto X... Which is a XT1058. The 2nd gen X is on Telus so I wouldn't have asked for a Rogers flash...
Perhaps you've confused me with someone else?

I did... Notice the edited post. ?
Well, the version numbers match; I'll extract the build.prop and see which model it really is for.

Well, the xml file does confirm that it's for the Rogers XT1058.

Again, I just find it odd that it's a month old.
I'd proceed with caution anyway.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if it is possible to downgrade my Moto X from AT&T running on 4.4.2 down to 4.2.2?
There's a very big risk of bricking your phone if you downgrade. Either right away, or by accidentally taking an ota after.
Some say there are ways to downgrade, but most here will just simply say... No. You can't unfortunately.
Again, you can research how to supposedly do it "safely".... but even following those directions, mistakes can happen, and boom. Paperweight.
Plus ... there's no real reason to. That I can see.

Also, questions go in the Q&A section. For future reference.

Ok thank you very much for your response. Oh man :/ well the thing is that I was wanting to root my phone but it seems like
there isn't a way to do this unless the phone was downgraded.
I currently just got a Verizon version moto x and using it on my at&t network.I'm new to the Verizon moto x and just want to know if 4.4.2 is rootable and unlock boot loader on the Verizon version? If so will it cause me not to be able to get connection using at&t or does it not matter?
Short answer. No. Sorry.
If it was on a version lower than 4.4.2 you could root it. But its on 4.4.2, so no can do.
However, go to general thread and see the China unlock thread. For $45 you can unlock the bootloader..IF your phone is on his list. Then you are golden!
That's the only hope you have. ?

Wait, dev edition? Or regular?

Thank you for the info
I came across the article below a few days ago, and downloaded the file in the link, and realized it's been years since I switched or upgraded a recovery IMG on a phone... How would I install the recovery image? It says flashable, but is it flashable from recovery or adb? What's the proper process?
Also, I have twrp manager installed on my phone, and I went and looked for the recovery in the 'install recovery' section of the app after I saw the article. The closest thing I could find in the menu was 'ghost'. It's petty clear that the custom images aren't named directly after the device, and in pretty sure the 'ghost' recovery image is the right one, just looking for some confirmation...

Just got the ZTE ZMAX, has a lot of potential and would like to see a root method and maybe a rom? :highfive:
Just type zte zmax root into Google.

You forgot to mention your carrier.
But, this makes me think you have root:

What is it anyway?

Looks like you have at least one rom:

Already looked into those and people have been posting in other forums about it not working. I got it with MetroPCS, its a decently specked phone for the price and I see a a lot of potential with it.
