Finally!!
From reading the blogs and looking at the pics, looks like only the naked Dinc will fit. If we have any type of case, it must be removed. It also looks like that the 2150 is the only extended battery that will fit with the Dinc when its in the horizontal position, meaning if you have the 3500 battery, your Dinc will not fit at all in the phone slot. Anyone else think this assumption is accurate?
That is what it looks like. Idk I'll keep an eye on it obviously out won't be as appealing if I have to take off the case I have on my phone. We'll see it's not that expensive, but it's also completely unnecessary.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Completely unneccesary.. I'm amazingly over paid tho so i have to buy it..:drools:
i cant see it being useful if you have to take off the case imho, but i'm glad to see theres finally a nice dock

That 4th picture shows it with the fat battery cover. Doesn't that mean that a case on a standard battery cover would work?

No, the fat battery cover does not add any thickness to the sides.. only the back.
There's a review at HTCPedia (Linked in the shopping page, I can't post links because I'm new) but I'd love to hear feedback if anyone out there owns this.
The review is actually pretty good, with lots of pictures.
The nexus 7 can use smart like covers to wake and sleep the tablet using the hall sensor above the pogo pins. thanks Wes for showing us check his post for video (I'm new and can't post links)

I was looking on the Asus specs page and noticed it had a hall sensor can this and will this be used like the iPad 2 and use cases to wake and sleep it. On the cover on Google play it didn't say anything about it and I assume this would be a feature they would want to embrace.

I found this case earlier today which does suggest that feature works http://www.amazon.com/rooCASE-Multi...2&keywords=roo+case+nexus+7#productPromotions
I pre-ordered one.
For users who seek additional protection, Nexus 7 has an optional protective smart cover. The smart cover is a tough, yet snug-fitting polymer case with a non-slip matte texture that protects Nexus 7 from bumps and scratches, and also provides additional grip. The case comes in six different colors to allow users to pick the one which best fits their lifestyle and allows Nexus 7 owners to travel with confidence.

From the Asus website... http://usa.asus.com/News/82X3sMt2tbBLf6xN/
I'm confused because they call it a "smart cover" but they don't say anything about that feature, which in my opinion is implied when you call it a "smart" cover.
Edit: Ignore

Don't worry, Blackberries had this feature eons before the iPad.
I can't replicate this. Did you use a neodymium magnet?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
I have no idea what kind of magnet it was. Just some magnet I picked up to use on the metallic walls in my office.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
I tried a few refrigerator magnets with zero luck. My wife has the iPad case, so I'm going to try that when she gets back later this afternoon.
I tried some off my fridge too that don't to edo the trick. The ones that are plastic and flexible specifically. But the ones like in my video that seem to be made of some metallic material definitely work.

mwalt2 found this in another thread:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007SA0NIY/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=
Thought I would post it here too. I just bought one.
Also, I did test my wife's iPad case and it does work!
as it turned out that the plastic cover is the one who is the main factor for holding the left screen that we are all having issues.
check out what i found. at the pics locate the one that has hole. you need to push that away using your fingernail. then line and latch the cover. snap-in first the left side and you should be able to hear a click sound. then you can all the way close the cover. your screen now should be flat with the silver frame.
good luck!
Can anyone else confirm this? Sounds very interesting but I don't want to risk damaging anything as my local store have said they will replace mine when they get stock back. Would save me some hassle if this solves it.
I think I see. Any chance of a better picture?

So Google has yet to release the Nexus 7 Case.. but its for sale at Sams Club?
I don't have a Sams Club membership, and I do not plan on support Walmart anymore than my wife already does...
Anyone know of a case, that is similar to the "Official" Nexus 7 case, but it available somewhere I do not need a membership?
I like the small/tight feature of that case. I can not stand a big bulky case that adds to the profile of the device.. I like how I can slip it in my back pocket, and every case I've found in the stores removes that ability.
As far as i know the travel case is for sale but the premium case is not yet released although pictures leaked

Seems dumb to me that they would wait so long to release the case. I'm holding out for an otterbox case.
The case listed on the Google Play store as "coming soon" is what you are referring to as a 'travel case' ... have not seen anything about a premium case.

You can order the travelcase at the asus website. I cant order from the play store so dont know about that. Premiumcase details are here:

I bought a proper Nexus case from Carphone Warehouse earlier today....it's kinda like a grey rubbery case with a flap that covers the screen...
Was looking at he case but decided against it on two things,1 there is no stand to prop up for watching films etc. 2 The cover flaps around so all kinds of crap can get on the screen if left in my bag.Shame as the rest of it and the way it holds the nexus is sweet

Was that the one made by Asus? Most Gamestops carry it, I looked at one today. Wasn't impressed with the feel, I'm sure that would slip out of my hands at some point.

looks like it. i've modded mine by cutting the useless flap off and keeping the back portion of it intact.
the flap if you join two ends up, actually then doubles up as a nice stand to lean the tablet against to watch films.

I also bought mine two days ago.
Only available in blue and pinks; None of the greys where in stock.
The grip is nice and if you flip the cover, the tablet stands in landscape easily and quite stable.
I attach some pictures of mine.

Hello p880 users,
This is my girlfriends phone, and she wanted a samsung-like flip cover, so I found and bought this (I looked everywhere, couldnt find it in ebay):
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-Selling-Retailing-Unltra-Thin-Slim-Side-Back-Battery-Flip-cover-PU-Leather-Housing-case-for/1220467926.html
The case actually feels good in hand and there's a black version too.
The back cover doesnt have NFC, and the back side plastic texture feels cheaper then the original (LG logo is painted instead of a metal plate). The back cover is also a little bit thicker - 2mm maybe. The front flip feels really good and closes well.
I didnt find any pictures laying around the web, so I thought leaving these here.
By the way, aliexpress turned out to be a good experience, and everything went smooth.

Dont use Nillkin, I've used them before. Yes, they look decent and feel great but after about 1 week, the edge start to loose... around 1 month, the skin will peel off....
Currently, I'm using a leather wallet case around 6GBP, It's much better.
nice case but i prefer vertical flap , not horizontal .
