So, I am wanting to get the S5, but I am tired of all the AT7T bloatware that comes on these phones. Plus, being in the military, prefer unlocked phones. So, what are my choices here. Where can I get an unlocked S5 that will fully work on the AT7T network?

The closest you could get is a TMO branded S5 which ships BL Unlocked (at least initial shipments) a few bands may not work though depending on the TMO radio. Also you would need to sim unlock the TMO S5 and buy it outright which I believe is 660.

I was wondering about that. Heard the TMO boot loader is unlocked. Just wasn't sure all bands would work on AT&T.
Att LTE should work hspa+ not sure I haven't looked at tmo specs at length

Just called Tmobile, and the phones do not come unlocked if I buy at full price? How would I unlock it so it would work with AT&T?

looking on the site you gave me, it stated that all samsung devices would need to be activated on original carrier first or the phone would be region locked. is this correct?

Ah, yes, it's my American perspective, as I would like to import, but Samsung is trying to stop such behavior.

The expectation is that all American models are region-locked as well. Here is an example of a N. America model with the region-lock warning on it: http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-s5-region-lock-367402/
FYI, I bought an AT&T S5, unlocked it and am using it now on Straight Talk and with other local SIMs as I travel. Check out my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714535
I live in Greece and as i saw in German media markt and saturn the price of nexus 6 in europe will be 569 and 649 for 32 and 64 versions. I have an uncle in the states and he can buy the phone from at&t or t-mobile cheaper and send it to me. Will the phone be unlocked? Would i be able to use it? If its locked, is there any way to unlock it so i can use it in Greece?
Thank you guys in advance
It's a Nexus, so yes it will be unlocked.

Yeah, all Nexus phones purchased from Google are unlocked. I'm not sure what's going to happen with the carrier branded ones this time around though as this is the first time Google has marketed a Nexus as a premium device to compete with all the other flagships. I don't think ones bought from carriers will be locked, but that's just a guess. As long as it's purchased from the Play store, and as long as the bands are compatible, as nexus6R3plicant mentioned, then you'll have no issues getting it to work.
From my understanding that all nexus 6 are the same no matter what carrier you buy from or Google Play. I have Verizon. My question is.. If I buy from another carrier sprint or t-mobile and I just pop my sim in shouldn't Lte and everything else work? Or will the radio bands vary on different carriers?
I think it would be work.
So far T-Mobile confirm it that is not locked on network and it's unlock phone.
But I'm not sure about the AT&T and other carrier.

Yes, it will work if you buy from any carrier. The model droid-life received was a T-Mobile unit, but they confirmed it worked with Verizon, including 4G. (http://www.droid-life.com/2014/10/31/nexus-6-working-on-verizon-out-of-the-box/)
I just got my pre-order in on Play Store.

I don't see anywhere in the article or video where they say their N6 was a T-Mobile unit. I'd be interested to hear that vzw has imei numbers sold from T-Mobile white listed in vzw databases.
A N6 bought from play/moto/vzw should have their imei white listed for vzw, I just haven't heard that is the case with N6 sold by other carriers.

In their unboxing video, you can see the box right before they open it. and it shows the phone is for t mobile. It says "T-MOB".
Wow, that's good news, thx.

While it will work with other carriers, T-Mobile will not be selling the Nexus 6 right out at launch. Only new plan customers or current plan customers can purchase the N6 for the foreseeable future.
Your best bet is to wait for your carrier to come out with it, or try ordering from Google Play/Amazon.

Here in the US only two carriers lock the Sim it just depends on your carrier.
Not all Nexus devices are sold SIM-unlocked. When the phones were released, some carriers were selling the Nexus One, the Nexus S and the Galaxy Nexus SIM-locked. I haven't heard of any N6's sold SIM-locked yet, but it could always be a possibility.

The Nexus 6 is the same on all carriers. The only noticeable difference is the AT&T variant is Sim locked to AT&T. The only difference in Nexus 6 devices is the domestic and international models.

The only real difference is that the Verizon branded N6's IMEI is whitelisted on their (VZW) system. Means that you can get a SIM from them without problem, and that you will get your BYOD discount on Edge (if you pay full price).

You can use it in Turkey, but most likely you will not be able to connect to LTE. The US carriers use different bands for LTE vs the rest of the world. I'd suggest that you would be better off with the 1100 "world" model.
Edit: but the 1100 won't connect to LTE in the US. So you will have to decide where LTE service is most important. US or the rest of the world. Unfortunately, you can't have both.

I'm afraid I can't answer that, as I am in the USA. I would suggest you ask your cellular provider first. I would say that you would most likely need the international model as it has the hardware needed for the signals used in that market. XT1100 is the model number.
