I Have my HTC ONE m7 Dual Sim rom updated about 6 month ago.
1) Unlocked
2) S-Off with moonshine
3) ClockWork 3.0.3.x installed
4) MaximusHD 2 rom installed http://llabtoofer.com/2014/03/24/htc-one-dualsim-maximushd-2-0-0/
Recently I decided to update to MaximusHD 3 http://llabtoofer.com/2014/07/31/htc-one-dualsim-maximushd-3-0-0/
After using ClockWork to install the rom I've got an error 'set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed` and the OS wont load. http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...et-set-metadata-recursive-some-changes-failed
As they said I need to update ClockWork to the recent version so I followed that video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg6B659PBnk to update ClockWork with CVM script. But it won't work for me...
Then I spend a lot of time trying to install drivers on Windows 8.1 (I did it 6 month ago on my old Windows 7 PC but didn't have that any more... ) I didn't make drivers work on Windows 8.1.
So then finally I boot to MAC and install everything by following this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0MyTvgfO7s
After I install ClockWork via flashboot I've got very scary screen (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2973598&stc=1&d=1413487336)
Then after few seconds mobile trying to boot ClockWork (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2973599&stc=1&d=1413487336) and gets in to infinity loop (->boot OS->Boot ClockWork->) Only I can do is manually boot to bootloader by pressing "power button+vol down".
What would you suggest for me in such situation?
Currently I will be trying to install stock rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2617159 using this article http://marrkdaviid.com/2013/11/retu...re-on-the-htc-one-dual-sim-802w/#.VD_36itgnEA it is only what I think I can do.
What do you think?
p.s
adb not working on Mac only I've got flashboot to work....

Try TWRP 2.8.0.2, I can not find an update to CWM for your phone.
On the MaximusHD site did you flash the firmware? I could not find the instructions but I would think you would need to flash the firmware first then the ROM especially since the ROM is based on that version.
There is a RUU.zip for your phone: PN07IMG_M7C_DUG_K44_SENSE60_MR_HTCCN_CHS_CU_5.15.1 402.3_Radio_1237.28.34.0106_release_373024_signed_ 2.zip. You will have to scroll down the site to find it but it is there and the RUU just prior to this version. RUU will normally reset your phone to stock but you will retain S-OFF and you don't have to lock the bootloader to run it, at least, that is the case for single SIM phones.
ADB will work in the boot OS with USB Debugging enabled or in Recovery. It will not work if the phone is in FASTBOOT USB.

Currently downloading the latest RUU that you mentioned.
Then I will unlock bootloader but then I might get an issue because I wont be able to use http://moonshine.io/ because ADB wont work on FASTBOOT USB that is required to install moonshine. Would ClockWork run without moonshine S-OFF?

If you have been doing everything with moonshine S-OFF, then leave it. Run the RUU and you should be back where you want to be.

I guess I don't understand.
Why don't you unlock your bootloader using the HTCDev Method? It doesn't require adb.
Does moonshine S-OFF have some command in ADB to unlock your bootloader?
It is obvious that I don't know your phone but here is a [GUIDE] HTC Dual Sim 802w, 802t, 802d S-Off, Recovery, Updates 4.2.2, ROOT, Google that explains a lot of the issues.

UPDATE:
Bascally I reinstall correct latest ClockWork recovery and then I successfully Installed MaximusHD 3 rom.

Not sure if I am in the right place to ask this question, well, i'll ask anyway.
I unlocked my bootloader using Revolutionary. I now need to revert to stock for warranty. I downloaded the INDIA RUU from goo manager.
I managed to replace the Revolutionary HBOOT by changing mainver. However, my radio is not getting replaced, no matter what I try. As a result, my phone bootloops though the RUU install was successful. So I had to revert to Revolutionary by installing WWE ASIA RUU. This was successful because the Radios are the same ie 3805.04.03.27_M.
I am currently on
HBOOT - 6.13.1002
Radio-3805.04.03.27_M
How can I go back to HBOOT 1.13 and Radio 38.02.01.11_M?
HBOOT - 6.13.1002 is still Revolutionary HBOOT?
I think that this is the easiest way to get stock bootloader and rom back. You need to find the latest WWE ASIA RUU for that.
Is that this one: RUU_VIVO_SENSE30_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.09.707.1_Radio_20.4802.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M_release_226940_signed.exe ?
If you have the latest RUU succesfully installed including the HBOOT, you're OK.

thanks for the reply...but i don't think i explained my problem properly.
I first downloaded PG32IMG_Vivo_hTC_Asia_India_1.36.720.1_Radio_Radio_20.23.30.0802U_38.02.01.11_M_release_172022_signed.zip from Goo Manager. This is India RUU, but Froyo. This was what was installed on my phone first.
I first changed the mainver and renamed this RUU to PG32IMG.zip and let the bootloader install it. The HBOOT flashed perfectly, so my HBOOT became 1.09 but my radio was stuck at the same. This led the phone to bootloop because of incompatible radios.
So i tried extracting radio.img from PG32IMG_Vivo_hTC_Asia_India_1.36.720.1_Radio_Radio_20.23.30.0802U_38.02.01.11_M_release_172022_signed.zip and renamed to PG32IMG.zip and bootloader flash it. But it does not flash. My question is how do I replace the current radio with 38.02.01.11_M? The current radio is 3805.04.03.27_M.

If you currently have a GB ROM on your phone you also have a GB radio. If you attempt to flash the Froyo RUU you have downloaded, you are going to brick your phone because you cannot flash an older Froyo radio over a GB radio. This is a sure way to brick your phone.

just a quick question, my phone is factory unlocked (the user I bought if from bought it on amazon.de) and currently I have an ICS rom with ICS radio, can I flash the GB RUU and then update to oficial ICS?
Do I still have to make goldcards and stuff?

With Revolutionary S-OFF, the RUU will not successfully overwrite the HBOOT and you will end up with a phone that won't boot past the HTC screen.
You would need to follow this procedure to allow the GB RUU to run successfully:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15732727&postcount=14
This would leave you with a stock, unrooted phone. You woud be able to use HTCDEV.com to ulock the bootloader so you could root, but you are much better off staying S-OFF and using custom ICS ROMs.

Well I was stupid enought to flash the RUU so ended like you said.
I have macOs, downloaded fastboot and did fine till 2d.
I have the rom.zip but when I try to do
"fastboot flash hboot rom.zip"
it says:
cannot load 'rom.zip'
and the same if I try the vivo_downgrade.img
But if I do fastboot reboot-bootloader
It works..any suggestions?

This procedure is tested only AplhaRevX.
1. Install RUU ROM from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1033922
2. Downgrade HBOOT
2a. download this file: http://alpharev.nl/vivo_downgrade.img
2aa. Connect your phone to the USB
2b.Turn your phone into FastBoot not to HBOOT!!! (VOL DOWN + POWER Button)
2c. Install over fastboot: cmd: "fastboot flash hboot vivo_downgrade.img" (you must install sdk tools)
2d. still fastboot cmd: fastboot reboot-bootloader
3. Start Installation RUU ROM, but DONĀ“T INSTALL !!!!
3a. go tu C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp and at last folder find rom.zip
3b. open it, and copy tu folder sdk hboot and instal the same as step 2c.

Make sure that you have vivo_downgrade.img in the same folder where you run fastboot from.
Also, you cannot flash a ROM.zip file using the command fastboot flash hboot.

So I do I do?
edit:
Just found it:
6. Rename this "rom.zip" file to "PG32IMG.zip"
7. Now take your SD card from Phone and connect it to your PC using a card reader or some other phone.
8. Paste that renamed "PG32IMG.zip" at the root of your SD Card.
9. Now power off your phone. Pull out the battery.
10. Insert the SD Card back in the phone. Insert the battery.
11. Now hold your volume down key and press power button. Keep the volume down key pressed. It will start your phone in boot-loader menu.
12. Select FASTBOOT if its not already selected and press power button.
13. It will search your SD Card for files and will find "PG32IMG.zip" file and will ask if you want to update.
14. Press the volume up button as instructed to continue and then sit back and relax.
Once finished it will ask you to reboot. Once rebooted, you'll be back on stock ROM with S-On.

The only way is to load a stock RUU/ROM that has bootloader 1.13. If you have a ROM that uses HBOOT 2.00-2.02 then it will always show RELOCKED or UNLOCKED.

Initially I was running stock froyo 2.2.1 and 2.28xxx Radio and it was running fine with the below mentioned hboot info
my bootloader info is something like
Blackrose
vivo pvt ship s-off rl
radio-3805.04.03.27_m
eMMC-boot
june 02 2012. 00:00:54
I then flashed a different radio version (corresponding to Froyo ROM) but after that It continously boot loop .
I can only enter into hboot and fastboot etc menus but cannot go to recovery anymore. when i go to recovery it again starts boot loop.
I unlocked and s-offed hboot an year back and i hardly remember those methods and my memory card is changed recently.
I tried flashing recovery using fastboot but problem persists. Still no recovery.( previously ClockwoodMod )
I have stock rom backup so once i can get into clockwood recovery i can restore those settings. Please help me out Guys . I did a huge mistake coming into custom roms after 1 year . lost all info .Now i'm pretty confused with all those terms and methods.
The only option is to flash recovery image. This is the reason you are not able to get into recovery.
What is the command you are using to flash recovery image?
Try to flash recovery image again.
Don't worry your phone is not bricked.

i tried the recent recovery image too but still it boots the moment it shows HTC logo( 2 secs logo and boot ) ... going to recovery after flashing also does the same boot loop. Do i need any adb drivers to detect vivo specifically ? .. i installed htc sync but dint connect vivo after that (when incS was actually working ).
also flashing boot.img from backed up froyo rom says FAILED writing. Battery is draining out on the otherside . It goes to boot loop when i charge it switched off too.
BTW Like i said I was running froyo stock rom which was also restored from backup but when i flashed the Radio maybe md5 or something dint match up and the firmware got corrupted . there's any bruteforce method to flash a custom or stock ROM or RUU ? ... I tried flashing nik_auro sense _4a ROM in fastboot usb but it says FAILED writing ! ... Can i solve this ? or my device is gone forever ?
I flashed boot.img of the backed up clockworkmod backup (froyo)
fastboot flash boot boot.img
it says
OKAY
Writing 'boot.img'
Finished.
Then i flashed recovery again
it says OKAY
Writing
Finished.
But same problem no difference.
BTW Everytime the usb is connected while booting up and al ... Windows 7 says USB driver not recognized ... ?? but flashing actually shows in cmd and hboot !!
You should install the driver correctly. Install htcsync and then uninstall it. Try flashing the recovery again. If that doesn't work, go into fastboot mode and type
Code:
fastboot getvar all
and post result here minus imei and serial number so we can get an ruu for you to flash.

I sent you PM, but it's nice to know that most problems connected to recoveries, boot.imgs and permissions get fixed with RUU. Of course it's easiest for s-off users (Revolutionary and BlackRose) cause all they need is to run RUU, and their phone will stay s-off and hboot won't be touched. For Alpharev and HTC unlocked users it's a bit different, Alpharev will lose their s-off cause hboot will be overwritten, and HTC unlocked have to relock their bootloader before RUU.
After successful RUU:
-S-off user have to flash recovery via fastboot
-HTC unlocked, so as Alpharev, have to unlock bootloader again (Alpharev for the first time) and flash recovery
The rest is magic...
Also, remember that flashing Froyo radio can cause you leaving with an expensive construction material (a hard brick)...
EDIT:
As I understood the last RUU is the same for all regions (same ruu.exe inside package One_Generic_code_Vivo.zip), so no need for gold cards anymore and the rest is handled with RUU itself. I already experienced that with Desire's 2.3 RUU.

The last official Rom you had installed on your phone was not froyo, that may be why you're getting bootloops. You're actually extremely lucky you didn't get bricked but it seems only the phones shipped with gingerbread have that issue. Your main version shows you had a HK 2.3.3 ruu installed but that doesn't match your cid (india). Do you have a goldcard?
Try flashing a gb radio. That will likely fix your issue.
Here's the ruu matching your main version. http://www.filefactory.com/file/c0a...5AU_3805.04.03.27_M_release_189979_signed.exe

ROM : HTC RUU Latin american version 4.14.405.2 ? ( it has file named One_generic_code_viva.zip) actually i need asia RUU but that link has incomplete file.
Mobile details : http://dl.xda-developers.com/attach...f7c459e3/50857d5a/1/4/1/9/7/4/1/vivo-info.jpg
I tried to flash HTC Canadian RUU(one_generic_code_vivo.zip ) in fastboot usb since i required asian RUU was a broken file in the link. ROM Update utility started , it identified my firmware version/ hboot so on .. like something like 2.12.xx to update latest 4.14.x so on .. but when i started to flash .. it started to show progress bar 1% .. but then immediately it changed to ----sending--- Bar(on PC) ......... (on mobile screen it showed HTC with black background without any progress bar ) it kept showing sending for 30 mins then i removed it and nothing flashed . same boot loop yet. any comments ? ... do i have to lock bootloader before flashing stock RUU ?... or can i flash a custom ROM ? ... I've no idea whats going on .. this is my device info http://www.4shared.com/photo/bgN6aHfQ/vivo-info.html?
It doesn't look like you flashed the gb radio like I suggested. Or even the ruu that I linked. You cannot flash a Canadian ruu because of the fact its a different model id.

How am i supposed to flash the RUU which u gave ? cos none of these methods work ...
from PC in fastboot usb ... The rom update utility keeps showing sending ........ and on mobile HTC black screen logo without a progess bar .. i waited for 30 mins.
I made PG32IMG.zip and added my CID in android-txt file and placed it on SDCARD ... in Hboot mode it loaded the file ... showed parsing--for 1/10th of a sec and gone and the red progress bar dint appear. and the writing dint happen.
I extracted the rom.zip from RUU and flashed in fastboot flash zip file-name.zip . it says sending....and then stopped REMOTE : not allowed !
I also fastboot usb flashed 3805.4.03.27 radio of GB of my main version ... says the same error REMOTE : not allowed !
Ok, to cut all this nonsense, since you have blackrose you should be able to run any ruu cause it disables cid checking, but it, obviously, doesn't work for you.
Just flash newest radio via fastboot and install some custom rom.

I flashed the Latest GB Radio . says REMOTE : NOT ALLOWED)
I flashed CUstom ZIP nik_rebirth says REMOTE : NOT ALLOWED
it pretty much says the same except for cwm backed up boot.img
I flashed boot.img and it was written !!
I also changed modelid , cidnum , mainversion hbootpreupdate values same as my device details before flashing some GB radio and latest generic rom.zip but all it says is REMOTE : NOT ALLOWED !!
commands im using
fastboot flash zip PG32IMG.zip
fastboot flash zip rom-name.zip
fastboot flash boot boot.img
other conditions :
Cable is not the one provided by HTC
battery is around 10% now 3722mV
sdcard is not the goldcarded sdcard but i have the goldcard file with me.
below are the images before applying Blackrose HBOOT and running GB successfully
I was following Vomer's guide on my One, which has been working great. I had HBOOT 1.54, S-Off, SuperCID, and pushed the firmware twice, got the success message, and waited and when it says finished used adb to tell it to reboot. Now I get the splash, with the lock gone, as expected, and then the screen goes black. If I hold power, or power and down, the hardware keys start blinking and then nothing. A few seconds later I get the splash again, then blank again.
It appears to be communicating briefly over USB because my laptop starts trying to install a HTC MTP device (drive is already on the PC and has been fine) before it looses comms and drops out. I can't seem to get adb device to recognize it....
PLEASE tell me someone can help me recover my phone!!! I will be immensely grateful.
And what the HBOOT version you wanted to downgrade to?

I wasn't trying to downgrade HBOOT, just rather ensure my firmware was up to date. I'd had mine set up as a GPE and was flashing the DE (after supercid).
By way of an update, I've been able to get into bootloader and I'm a bit scared on what to do next so I dont screw this up. I notice that I still have S-OFF, but HBOOT is now showing 1.56 and it says RELOCKED at the top. My plan was to use rumrunner (just because of the HBOOT, but it is erroring anyway) to unlock bootloader, and then to look up the fastboot commands to push a ROM and recovery. Any advice?
Downgrade to 1.44 and change cid according to the Rom you want. Then unlock or set your bootloader to LOCKED
Here is the file for 1.44 http://www69.zippyshare.com/v/95229262/file.html

Can you help me with the adb commands to flash that boot zip? Also, should I run " fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin" to unlock my bootloader first?

You can unlock if you want to flash custom recovery.
Place the file i gave you to the fastboot folder. Boot into bootloader and choose FASTBOOT.
Run the following : fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip filename.zip *where filaname the actual filename of the file i gave you
You will get FAILED or sth so do this command again to succesfully flash the firmware.

Awesome. So I've got HBOOT 1.44, S-OFF, bootloader unlocked, supercid, and TWRP 2.6.3.3 flashed again, and I tried sideloading ARHD rom. It all looked good but same thing for the moment, I get the splash and then black......I can't figure out why I can't boot into a rom right now. About to try flashing ROM again.
Okay, so didnt' work. After sideload flashing gets to 100% it just does nothing. Manually rebooting gets me back into the splash then blackness bootloop......
Can you issue fastboot clear cache in bootloader and see the outcome?
Also as you are Soff, you can run dev ruu

The former didn't get me anywhere, but I did follow your thinking and decided to use the RUU and start over. I'm happy to report that got me going, and then I was able to get AR HD on. I probably had to do that all along once I wiped the ROM and recovery, as sideloading clearly wasn't going to work (in retrospect) as it has an AROMA installer.
Thanks so much everyone!!

Nice that everything is solved now.
Verstuurd van mijn HTC One
Having trouble with this OS because I want to update to (Sense 5.5) (4.4.2) but I'm stuck on (Sense 5.0) (4.2.2). Just becoming extremely frustrated and cannot find a firmware update to move my OS up to 1.10.605.10 or even 1.10.605.8.
I am on Verizon and have HBOOT - 1.54, Superuser, S-OFF, and Bootloader Unlocked. Right now after what I have been reading today it seems as if I am stuck with this OS and wont be able to receive the OTA updates to get a better ROM.
Although one good thing that happened is I just got my recovery working today thanks to "philz_touch_6.19.3-m7vzw"
So if anybody and I mean anybody has any suggestions on how I can do this or even point me in the direction of the best ROM for my requirements it would be greatly appreciated.
I do not remember rooting being this difficult with my Thunderbolt.
Best regards,

this RUU will get you to .10
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip-m7_wl_jb_50_vzw_1-10-605-10_decrypted-zip/
Instructions for Flashing RUU Zip Files:
Download the RUU.zip file and place in your ADB/fastboot folder. I would recommend renaming the zip file to something simple like ruu.zip.
Boot your phone into the bootloader by holding the power and vol up/down buttons at the same time until you see the bootloader screen or if you have your phone booted you can use the ADB command:
adb reboot-bootloader
Now use these fastboot commands:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Should see the Silver HTC logo. Now issue this command to flash your phone using the ruu.zip file:
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
Now the first time you issue a command to flash firmware/ruu in fastboot it only prepares the flash. You have to issue the exact command again:
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
The green status bar usually does not reach the 100% mark. When the output in the command window is complete, you can reboot:
fastboot reboot
**Notes about the RUU.zip method. You still need to have the proper CID for the RUU. You can run the RUU.zip with super CID, but you will have to lock your bootloader first. If you are running the RUU.zip as base to downgrade all your firmware because you are going to then going to restore a stock Nandroid so the RUU might not be made for your MID, so you may need to edit the android-info.txt inside the ruu.zip to include your MID or CID.

Ok, so lets say it all works and I install the OTA update. Then what?
Also I'm "SuperCID 11111111" probably should have mentioned this earlier.
Everything worked and had no issues, but now I'm confused on what to do next.
I don't want to install the newest OTA update because it seems that people are having issues with it.

Then just flash back to your custom recovery and root the phone
flash this from recovery >> http://download.chainfire.eu/382/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip
Also if you choose to flash roms please stay in the Verizon forums.. most of the Roms you find in this area are not for your phone

Yeah I was a little to tired to realize what I was talking about last night.
I was going back and forth between studying java, ascii, and unix for my exam earlier today and trying to get my phone squared away.
Now I'm curious about updating my baseband unless it really won't make much of a difference.
But this is where I ended up at.

Hi I just have bought my new HTC desire 10 pro and I wanted to root it using ADB and fastboot to flash TWRP recovery and then install SuperSU like i did with older phones. With this one when I try to flash TWRP with fastboot tool it says to me:
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: download for partition 'recovery' is not allowed)
Now... I have tried OEM unlocking enabled or not and i can see it working in bootloader (**LOCKED** or **UNLOCKED**)
I read somewhere that HTC has the download mode for flashing, but when is in that mode nor adb nor fastboot can detect the device plugged in.
This has something to do with S-ON and S-OFF? I understood that is a kind of NAND memory protection.
If you have a simpler way with some exploit or working apk is also accepted because I only want root and dont care of flashing custom ROMs for now.
Thanks,
Joe

S-On or S-Off doesnt matter for what you need to do.
First go to HTCDev website and unlock your bootloader, the phone model isn't shown but select "other supported models".
Then install device drivers and ADB fastboot
Dowload TWRP 3.1 for your variant from here and flash it by fastboot
twrp-3.1.1-0-a56dj_pro_uhl.img
twrp-3.1.1-0-a56dj_pro_dugl.img (dual sim)
Download SuperSU and flash it using TWRP.
I think your problem is either bootloader not unlocked or drivers missing, anyway good luck ! :good:
Credit to @sabpprook for the TWRP variants
You need to boot the phone to download mode and then flash the twrp...adb reboot download should do it, then the usual fastboot command to flash twrp..Bootloader needs to be unlocked via htcdev first

The provided links for twrp are not working. Can you please provide the link for twrp for HTC desire 10 pro
I did not build those twrp files, I just found them on another post by @sabpprook
The links are now expired, you'll have to ask @sabpprook to post them again please.
But I found another twrp file for the HTC Desire 10 Pro dual sim version by @jemmini
