I don't think so... I think Wi-FI Direct is a hardware thing. You might try CyanogenMod 11, that is your best bet.

EDIT: A simple app called Fast File Transfer may accomplish what you need

Because on ICS we have no native tethering working. The updater script forgets to install new kernel so we don't have the problem solved.

I think yes, only CM9/CM10/AOKP are not supporting native tethering.

I'm sorry to be 'that guy' but I can't seem to find instructions for installing Cyanogenmod 9 on the raspberry pi. I know it's been done before.

The current builds of CM9 for the RPi boot but are unusable due to framebuffer issues and other hardware acceleration issues, the CM 7.2 build that is available for the RPi is a little more stable but still essentially barley usable. That being said if you want to try out the CM9 and CM 7.2 build images for the RPi I would take a look at this guide. Here is a video of CM9 running on the RPi:
Thanks for the info, I did see that earlier today but the CM9 mirror appears to be down

Hey,
as i am using Avatar Rom at the moment i tried to use Wifi hotspot. It didnt work (as i refer that it comes with CM 10.1 ). I read that tonyp was able to fix it, but i was just able to see the fix in his own build?
Is the Hotspot fix available separately?
Thanks in advance! =)

I also want to know this.
No, it's not afaik. Use tonyp's build if you need it, or roll back to a 4.1.2 rom.
