720p recording isnt working for me! Why?!
It should be working without any changes, but if you see this happen, flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1575485 and report that it didn't work at first.
I found a bug or problem in your ROM, what should I do?
Try to read the thread for possible solutions, and if you can't find anything, then post the problem without complaining and try to describe as much as you can the problem and when it happened, etc. Please use the "Report MIUI" option if you experience a force close which will open the "WeUI Feedback app" and it will automatically add the logcat information of that force close, but please describe your problem and don't just send the log. (Most logs will be ignored if you don't describe your problem)
Some theme elements are not getting changed!!
Right now only certain things work on themes like lockscreen, icons, etc. But other stuff doesn't get themed or doesn't look right, this is a thing that MIUI will fix in an upcoming release
Why is there a Torch app? Galaxy S devices don't have a LED flash!
I know there's no LED flash, but the Torch is not an app and can't be deleted that easily, it's on the System UI and can't figure out how to do it correctly

That's what I need to know, so I need to look into a logcat of it booting, because I don't have a Vibrant I can't check it out myself ( I have a captivate and its working, and the galaxy s version is working too), so its a vibrant specific thing
If anyone can PM me a logcat, it will make it so much easier to me to fix it

i have no idea how to get a logcat tho
i cant wait to try this i see alot of potential like nicks old roms and also Segnaros roms thanks alot !!!
Couldnt get a log will try when I home and have more time
I could not get the vibrant option to fully boot ( hung at bootanamation)
but was able to install sgs option then flash glitch and modem the buttons are mix(back & home) but that is not a hard fix.
I think it may be in the scripting because it would nnot boot with any combo I tried.
vib & fix, vib & glitch, sgs & vib fix.

So you chose Galaxy S and installed it, and then flashed glitch kernel and its working?
If that's the case then the button layout is a really easy fix

always loved the stock look of rom but I've also wanted improvements so this looks promising, btw how can I put back calendar, memo, messaging and bookmarks widget cuz these are the ones I like about stock rom
P.S. I think if you're gonna stick with the stock look and all, maybe you should leave those widgets we could actually use like the ones I listed above just my 2cents, and thanks for all your work and keep up the good job
What about wakelocks caused by fast dormancy when you turn off data? Does this ROM have it or not?
try it now.. will tell more about battery (fast dormancy wake locks) tomorrow ...
edit: notification-bar symbols are ugly in this stock-rom (gps and wifi buttons look blurry)...
Edit 2: FD bug is still here.. phone doesnt sleep... checked with better battery stats.. fd-tracker has lots of wake locks
what I/O planificator in no-frills cpu control should i use ?
@ dev
I think it's a better choice to use v20i, it does not have the fast dormancy bug. Just need to removed bloat and patch apn config
widgets
can you post a version with the removed apps or a download link to the removed apps?

The problem is that it's not that simple. I posted this cleaned up V20I stock ROM and it's good because it doesn't have the fast dormancy bug. But when I pushed the APN files from the brazilian stock ROM to have only the correct APNs, the fast dormancy striked again.
By the way, I replaced these files:
/system/etc/apns-conf.xml
/system/etc/flex/flex.db
/system/etc/flex/flex.xml
And it was through a flashable ZIP that I made.
What is fast dormancy bug? anyone tell me clearly please... , next version with bugs removed + depeted widgets + improvements
in stock 2.3.3 a process called "Data-Tracker FD" is active after disabling Data (3G) and so phone can´t go to sleep. you can see it with app "better battery stats" (but it only drains battery if your provider doesn´t support Fast dormancy.
If your provider supports it - there is no battery drain ...
look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1185241&highlight=fast+dormancy
would be great if you can remove bloat from v20i (boot-animation, apn, ****ty apps) and use it instead of v20g - so it would be a very nice rom i think...

Kitkat Build
ATTENTION!
Kitkat builds have moved!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2556875
DO NOT FLASH WITHOUT A NANDROID BACKUP!
the upgrade to 4.4 upgrades databases as well and if you want to go back, you have to wipe your data.
so please take a backup before you flash this.
The last official Velox Build for kitkat is here.
cm-p970-Velox-1.0.6.2-experimental-20131115.zip - 169.49 MB
Also this is VERY EXPERIMENTAL, proceed on your own risk!
Better use Version 1.0.6.2 instead!
ROM Extras
Here you will find ROM Extras.
i think its cleaner than attaching them to the main thread.
-------------------------------------
ClockWorkMod
Here are copies of new CWM
You can install them with the built-in recovery flasher in the Performance Menu at the Tools tab.
Note about Swipe Recoveries:
it works flawlessy, only the "swipe" feature is a bit buggy.
up and down works, left and right only sometimes.
just use the powerbutton instead, like always
20131116 - CWM 6.0.4.5 Swipe
-------------------------------------
Overclock Kernel
Overclock Kernel is attached.
I plan to update it, asap i do changes to the non overclock kernel.
Versions are ordered like this 20131017 means
Planned, but not yet fixed, Features
If you want some new features, just let me know
For now planned is:
Waiting for your ideas / requests
Discovered Bugs
[x] for fixed
[] for unfixed
[] Call waiting isnt working 100%, more reports about it would be awesome!
[] Video Recording is slow (?)
[] Microphone recording isnt working properly (?)
[] Native Tethering doesnt work (Use third-party Tethering apps)
[] Bluetooth is buggy
--------------------------------------------------------
Possible Fix - LED's dont turn blue when you press on it
To fix it, go to
Settings -> Buttons -> Backlight -> and set the timeout to NEVER TURN OFF (Screenshot included)

Improve GPS
If GPS doesnt work or works really bad, try out this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=by.zatta.agps
it is known that GPS Status & Toolbox and other GPS status apps may report 0 servers and 0 fixes.
but if you try to use for example Google Maps, you will notice, that it works fine though.

HALO Fix
As i still havent received my second hand p970 because mine broke, i still had no time to fix the halo bugs, as i couldnt fully debug it (it works on all my other devices I9505, I9300, P880)
this is a temporary fix for halo.
1) Enable halo, the phone will crash and reboot.
2) after the reboot, enable halo again, then go to Velox Control -> Halo -> Appearance
3) Notification Count to NONE
4) Untick Enable message pop-up
5) Message box animation to NONE
now halo should work, sorry!
it seems i lost a commit, figuring out once i have my phone.
----------------------------
Thx for your work mate.I can't wait to test it
It's also great that @dhiru1602 decided to work on p970 too

i used exactly the same kernel on my cm-10.1 builds before too.
you could try extracting boot.img and system/lib/modules from the rom zip and flash it.
but be sure you at least try the rom one time too, its surely as fast as your cm10, if not faster

Pull the battery and it should work
but reviewing that case, maybe kernel too hard configured.
will be fixed in the next version.
Can't wait to flash it. Just wait for mirrors of download link cause it stops at 99.9% when I am downloading.

Hey, good to see you on your thread
I have 2400mah battery so, I'm looking for performance too. :good:
I'm using your performance rom update 1..
- How much did you OC gpu?
- Are you going to add 1350mhz option for OC cpu?
- Some games (Temple Run 2 for example) not working on 1200mhz. Maybe you need to increase voltage?
- Purging of assets is good or bad? Freeing more memory but during purging process slowing down performance?
