Vinyle skins for HD2

hey there friends,
I've been thinking of buying an HD2 for my wife as well. with scratching our names on the back out of consideration, we were thinking of getting a vinyl skin for our HD2s in order to make distinguishing between our phones ..
i just wanted to know if anybody here has been using gelaskins vinyl..http://www.gelaskins.com/catalog.php?DeviceID=103&CategoryID=56
or any other option..

Is it possible to open your cellphone with that on?

I think you stick on it in 3 parts, on above battery, one on the battery, and one below

yea, some of the skins showed the visible lines illustrating the three parts of the skin..

u can't find them in india i think but can be bought n shipped to india. shippping is just 5$$

You will probably never get a perfect fit with these. Its a good idea, but it will never look as good as the pics on the site. Just buy one of those tight fitting cases in different colors.

I have tried these with other phones before, the thing is they look nice when new but it only takes 1-2 months before the colors fade away and the corners to peel off. imho they are not worth 15-20$.

i've used decalgirl skin's vinyl for my PS3.. perfect fit n easy application/re-application. no fading till date(its abt 2 years old) but as phone will be kept on its back n keep rubbing the pouch while inserting taking out of it.. the fading might occur.

just bought some custom designed skins. im a sports enthusiast, so to no ones surprize I put my team's logo and everything on it. this was from zagg. had to pay a bit extra, but hoping it will look good. awaiting delivery. will post pics once I get it

where r u getting the skin from? if a website, pls post the link ..n do review it once u get it....

custom skin
I got it from the zagg website(US). go to ZAGGskins tab at the top, then hd2. can't post an url according to this.
could not find a substiture for the customs ones. it's a bit more than the ones you can get off ebay. will defo review it once I get it. i live in aus so might be a week before I get it.

Zaggskins didn't impress as much as gelaskins..
but still waiting for ur review..

Sorry, possibly i wasnt clear, the stand is purely the white bulbous part on the back, the beauty of it is you can use a credit card, hotel key card, id card, Driving Licence.
im just hoping it fits in my case ok, if not it will be stuck on the back of my defender case.

Hmmm, It's very retro plastic looking. I wouldn't want that stuck to the back of my HD2, it could very well take the dark coating of the metal backplate off when removing to leave the metal exposed.
I think I'll stick to my GoGoStand.

just had a look at their site, they do ship worldwide now, might get one myself as it looks a pretty good stand

This Go Go Stand is awesome! Solved my problem on missing my kick stand case since now Im using a Mugen xtra extended battery and cant wait using this on the SGS.

SWEET!!!! i l ove it
ordered one already
i got the black one, is the only one that looks good
red is too pinkish, and purple is ... pale, like washed out black
i wanted blue... but they don't have it

Thanks, ordered one w/screen guard for $10. Not bad .

Edit: I ended up ordering the 3-in-1 package deal (same seller). Hopefully the screen protector is decent, but if not - it's still a good deal for the case and car charger ($13.02 USD/includes the S/H).

it's like a hard case, same as the ones available for the SGS
it's more of a Fashion case, than protection case

I prefer soft cases. That does look sleek, though.

Oh. I thought it was a combination of a soft/and hard case? Still ordered it (too sexy not to!), but now I am thinking maybe I should have ordered a soft black gel case too. I'll order a soft case next time.

roshga, I too was thinking of getting the clear one (haven't got my phone yet). The "Google" visible on the rear is kind of cool. The only problem is that in the picture, the transparent plasticky look can be seen on the front edges. The black one's edge blends smoothly into the colour of the phone. Wish they had the Google written on the back ... with no "Samsung"
When someone gets it, can pictures be posted ... actually a short video clip of putting it on would be great as we can get the "feel" of the case

i compared both of the pictures... if you look carefully u can see that the black one seems as plasticky as the clear one, and the "Google" visibility was the reason for going for the clear one
I'm from Israel so the shipping will probably take more time then an order from the UK, if no one will upload any pictures of it till i'll get it I'm gonna post some myself

[REVIEW][i9023] Nilkin Hard White Case : Cleaned up the pictures!

So, my Nilkin case arrived in the mail on friday. Took 2 weeks.

Conclusion:
Overall a very good case. Actually makes the phone look very good. Especially the back where the phone looks slick. The fact that the bottom and top are protected halfway scares me, however i can take care of the phone well so it depends on you.
The case feels quite slippery when you hold it up, so you have to grip it tightly.
Looks good on the sides and all round. Generally a very nice case to have.
I love it.

If you keep dropping your phone you definitely need a cover. I dont think this is available for NS4G though. You'll have to look for a similar one.

the mouse is cool. i swap mice all the time, so haven't had too much use with it.

Nice pics. Not with Tmo for coupon though..

Nice looks a little different from sprint one. Sprints has the whole back textured, the bottom is smooth and glossy, and the sides are a smooth matte.

I also have this one and yes it slides in/out pocket well.
Feels thin but will protect from drop/scratches and the gray color goes well with the Note's Titanium color.
So far it's maintaining it's shape and no scuff/scratches. It's a keeper for myself.
(just noticed it's $18.65 on amazon)

Those diamond cases are awesome. I used one on my s2 forever. The gray part is rubber, the white is plastic. One piece design similar to the Speck candyshell.

If you work at T-Mo...do you know if the 30% Foursquare thing still works? That's assuming these things exist in stores yet. I thought I saw someone say they used it a few days ago, but the only thing I can find are links to a promo from last year.
