Proximity detection not working with Gear ? - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Fresh install with G.Gear 1. For whatever reason it refuses to work. Tried turning on and off and trying another pattern but nothing.
Any ideas ?

I'm having the same problem with the Gear 1. Maybe there can be a fix through a mod.

[Q] All sensors broke

All the sensors on my Xperia z1 stopped working and aren't listed on CPU-z. Light, orientation, proximity, and the screen never shut completely off when locked while the device is on.
Already tried flashing a new firmware and putting a custom rom and nothing worked. Any suggestions?

Did the sensors stopped working after you Flashed/installed some Rom/Mod/Kernel,etc. ... or it just normally happend?

Just normally
Any news about this? I've the same problem. Tried nearly anything to get rid of this problem.
Afer a reboot alle sensors are working (again). After a few minutes/hours they stop working (don't know when exactly).
I have no apps installed, only the default apps from sony's stock rom ( 5.0.2 / .270 ).
Is there a possibility to reset/reload the sensor drivers or something like this. Don't want to reboot any time.
I've found a way to live with this "bug".
Now, I use "Tasker" to execute the following shell command, when i switch on the display:
kill $(pgrep sensors.qcom)
This kills the sensors.qcom process. ( It will restart automatically )
After this restart, all sensors are working again.
Just do a complite wipe (system, data and all of that) and re install another rom. If it as u say, a software problem this should solve the problem.
Thanks for your reply ... tried it many times. Wiped everything, flashed Stock-Rom with Dual-Recovery AND Flashtool ... nothing helped.
Searched the internet many hours and read, that many people have this issue, on several devices ( Samsung Galaxy S4 / some LG's / Nexus 5 ).
Seems to be a bug, but i don't know when it's appear.

Although unlikely it might be an app, you should try leaving the phone with its stock apps after a fresh install and see if the issue shows up again, then one by on install the apps again, if you decide to this you can pm me the list of apps which you have and I can compare then check them off for you.
Hi,
tried many things again, but nothing works:
- wipe everything and flash the latest stock firmware (without installing any apps)
- wipe everything and flash the older stock firmwares e.g. 4.4.2, 4.4.4 (without installing any apps)
- wipe everything and flash a few custom roms ( cm12, cm11, crdroid )
Nothing helped. After a few minutes/hours in deep sleep the sensors does not wake up again until i reboot the phone.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Pocket REBOOTS

Hey guys, hope you could help me with my problem.
So I've been trying to install many custom roms in my samsung to try it out, and then I decided to return to my stock rom, then I rooted it. After I rooted it, my power button/lock button started to malfunction, it won't lock my screen after the first press, then after pressing a couple of times, it reboots without any warning. Any solution? I don't think it is a hardware problem because when turning it on, it works fine. Also, it doesn't always happen, but it is really getting annoying when my phone starts to reboot again. I've found a similar problem here and tried the solution, but it didn't work. I also tried to format, return to my stock rom again, but no luck

[Q] Random soft-reboots (Stock 1.205, root)

Hi guys,
My phone is experiencing random soft reboots (reboots without a need to type in simcard PIN) during the day. It happens totally randomly, sometimes 3 times a day, sometimes not once in a couple of days. Sometimes when I use it, sometimes when it's idle on the table.
I'm running stock JB 4.3 A.1.205, LB, Towel-rooted, no custom recovery (I tried some previously and they were givig me all sorts of trouble, so I downloaded fresh official ROM and Towel).
I've been trying to track down the process that causes reboots, I temporarily uninstalled Xposed framework but it still ocurred.
Is this a known issue? Is there a better way to check what is causing that (perhaps in some log file)?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Michal

Try with hard reset or try to flash another stock ftf
Thanks, but the reset doens't seem to change much, it occurs anyway.
I'd rather avoid changing rom again, as I said I just recently installed clear stock offcial rom via PCC and only towel-rooted it.
Any ideas how I could try to track the fault process?

I would have said it´s because of the xposed framework if you haven´t said you uninstalled it once. I had the same problem once, and I was kind of sure that it´s because of some gravitybox settings which gave trouble.
I recommend you to uninstall the xposed framwork once again, reboot and give it a try

Well, I'll give it a go, however I did it before and the reboots occurred anyway... I'm now slowly uninstalling all the apps one by one to see when this craziness stops
I'm starting to suspect that it's a fault of Google Play Services, they're always on high positions in my Wakelock and Battery Usage lists, I heard people are also having some other problem with this app.
Edit:
Another thing is that I try to modify something in AppOps (I'm accessing it via some shortcut apps from the Store), but I cannot change permanently any settings (I click back, then enter again some app and it's all 'allowed' again), is this normal?
I'm digging up an old thread, but I narrowed down my problem to Stamina Mode, I think.
I wiped all data via factory reset, reinstalled clean system via PCCompanion and only townel-rooted. The soft-resets began to appear again shortly after first boot. I tried to eliminate differet things and it seems that the reboots occur only when Stamina Mode is on. I've switched it off like a week ago and the phone has been running smooth ever since.
Now I'm just asking out of pure curiosity, has anyone ever stumbled upon similar problem? Is Stamina Mode known for causing any issues of this kind?

[Q] Gear with OnePlus One Problems

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help point out what I'm doing wrong. I apologize if this is addressed in another thread, but I've read through all I can find with no luck.
Here's my setup....OnePlus One running CM12s (not rooted) and an original Galaxy Gear 1 w/Tizen.
No matter what APK's I install, I cannot get it to work. Either Gear Manager just crashes, Host Manager crashes, or if nothing crashes the Gear just spins on the connection screen.
Is there something with my setup that isn't allowing this to work? Is lollipop the issue? Does the phone need to be rooted? Is the GearManagerStub.apk the problem since I can't copy it into the system/app folder w/out root?
Any help is appreciated. I've spent hours trying to get this to work.
Thank you!!
Hale to sammy ROM to connect without problem. On sgs 3 i ve never to make it.
Same problem here, but I managed to install the latest Gear Manager and connect with Gear 1. OnePlus One running CM12S, non-rooted.
