problem with third part app for navibar - Huawei Ascend P7

Hi Guys,
I've got problem that I can't handle for few days and can't find a solution,
I have huawai P7 with working xposed modules and ive add "qemu.hw.mainkeys = 1" at the end of the build.prop in /system and original navbar is permanently hide,
I've install udn navbar module and its work but not so good., wich means is not work with apps screen and home screen, when I go to UND setting and set "on" it shows but when I hit "back" its disappears on home screen and got some message that place was blocked for that aplication.
Did any one got something similar?
Maybe is something with huawei phone becouse on my LG G2 everything works ok.
Other similar app like GDM acts exactly the same it works till I back to home screen and then disappears
update***
Ok Ive got it. and maybe someone help this too. is my first HUAWAI and thet phone got something like phone manager and there in setting is something like dropzone management, all aplication are dropzone blocked, I ive check "allow" to UDN (or any app) and is OK now
By the way I don't know why some one have blocked dropzone in HUAWAI, first time Ive see some like that and dont know what is the purpose

update 2***
unfortunately when I hide original navbar and use UDM or GDM I've got error messages (on start and when rotate screen) about close systemUI and after that navbar and taskbar dont work proper.
So is something wrong with ther rom I think, I have read something that must deodexed rom but even when I do that nothings change.

Can U be more specyfic? Do U have working GDM or UDM wiht complete hiding original navbar?
this error about "systemUi" its show only when I add to bulid.prop file line "qemu.hw.mainkeys = 1"
this code completly hide a original navbar and make all that errors (I think because that navbar got somethig to do with taskbar. GDM uses that to so after turn on GDM errors shows same like editing bulid.prop)
thanks for the answers

[Q] Hiding navbar crashes systemui

Hello. I recently upgraded my P6 to a P7 and now I have a huge problem: On p6 if I added to build.prop qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 the navbar would disappear and I could used LMT, but now on P7 if I add qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 every time the screen rotates it crashes SystemUI.
This is a major problem because I absolutely hate using the navbar. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

In the settings menu there is a navbar option. If you turn it on, you can hide the navbar. A swipe up will restore it.

Actually I am missing that button but I know how to do that using activity launcher. The problem is rather that I want it to be completely disabled because when I use LMT I configure it so that I need to swipe up from the bottom of the screen and that also starts the navbar.

I think you mean the soft keys...if yes - follow this:
1. You have to edit:
/data/user/0/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
- you need a program like "SQLiteEditor"
2. Make a backup of your settings.db
3. Open settings DB with your SQL editor.
4. Choose system and search
"hide_virtual_key"
5. Change in this entry the "0" to "1" and save it!
6. Restart your phone and have fun
Edit:
oh! I just see there is already a complete guide for it! my mistake!

That is just a more complicated method of adding the ability to hide the navbar. I don't want to hide it, I already enabled that option, I want it cometely disabled and the only way to do that is with qemu.hw.mainkeys=1

I'm using a custom ROM. Perhaps your ROM has had this feature disabled. It may have been there in earlier builds.

I have the same problem and I've tried every method even rooting but all of them fail. My device is HUAWEI ASCEND P7-L10 FOR AMESTERDAM, NETHERLAND.

Info: HRT_P7_L05L07_V4.0 ROM

This ROM contains the Chinese to English translated apk files so all you have to do is flash it. The translations have modified to better reflect the function of the various tweaks. Two additional tweaks are available. You can resize the nav bar and wake the phone up using the Vol key. Turning off the shutdown message still doesn't work. The virtual power (screen off) button is located on the top right corner of the screen. The interface is EMUI2.3. The ROM can be used with the L05, L07, L10 variants. Xposed 2.5 works but interferes with EMUI so you might want to use another launcher. Some parts of Gravity Box work. The options displayed when restarting the phone are stll in Chinese but the options are self evident.
Don't forget to backup!!

Glad you like it. The ROMs author does quite a good job considering all of the obstacles. I don't know if we will see anything incorporating EMUI3.0. Huawei seems to have made customisation even harder with the release of the B604 ROMs. In other threads there has been quite a bit of interest in downgrading from EMUI3.0. I guess there are reasons for wanting to downgrade but I'm uncertain as to what they are. In any event though, I'm not sure I would want to upgrade to the successor to the P7 when its released as it may well be impossible to work with. The most appealing aspects of the P7 are its size and weight. Every other device with a 5" screen is bigger and heavier. A bit of a "turn off" in my view.

I just put this on my P9 and a lot of things don't seem to work.
Eg. Gravity Box (MM) - tons of things don't seem to work for me. Though long hold power key for skip track works.
Tried a few others such as double time zone module that should put a second clock in the status bar which did not work. Actually everything in the status bar did not seem to work on my P9 (I really would like to modify the status bar and also make the battery percent number stand out more), and lots of other stuff besides the status bar did not work.
I am wondering if I did something wrong for such a large amount of things to not work. I have not used xposed before.
I'm only using "Flat Style Bar Indicators" and "Bootmanager" and they work flawlesly. So i don't know if and how other modules work.
Did you activate them in the "Modules" section?

Yeah I did activate them in the Modules section, which is why the "Use Vol As Next Song" was able to work from "Gravity Box (MM)", but unfortunately almost nothing else in there works.
Ahh just got "Flat Style Bar Indicators" and it's working great. Thanks.
Also the xposed stuff in greenify is awesome.
But plenty of other xposed modules don't seem to be working on my P9.

[Guide] how to hide unwanted status bar icons.

Since we got this huge notch, each status bar icon become more precious.
So hiding some of them can be useful, especially those constants ones that adds zero useful information such as NFC, Bluetooth, Eye comfort etc...
I've found this guide from Huawei P20 Pro and I can confirm it works perfectly for our Mate 20 pro.
It matches every Huawei's specific icons.
No need for root, just adb
Here's the instructions

I'd suggest to first try this easier mode and see if you can get the changes in the status bar icons you want.
It works on Mate20Pro.

FYI I tried a while back to hide some icons with System tuner (has right privileges) but only BT icon disappeared.
The Eye comfort and Power Save are the ones I'd like to hide..so I'll give this a shot.
Will report back.
EDIT:
returning to default should be easy as this is what it looks like:
Code:
>adb shell
$ settings list secure
.......snip.......
[B]icon_blacklist=null[/B]
EDIT2:
Partial success. I have the distinct impression that System UI tuner uses this method as well, as the icons I COULD hide using SUIT are the SAME as using this method.
Namely: I could hide BT, eye_protect, Zen (DND) but NOT clock and Power Save.
My suggestion: use System UI Tuner as at least it offers a simple way to go back by resetting the blacklist (equivalent to setting the icon_blacklist to null).
Disappointed - I really wanted to get rid of some of that garbage.
EDIT3:
Yep, I checked the icon_blacklist after using System UI Tuner to make changes and I found the list updated with the icons I selected. That does not mean that it works for clock and Power Save, just that the app tries the same method (and fails).

UUUGH me again. It won't open in tapatalk yet via browser it's fine. Most likely something I've done to tapatalk. Sorry
not sure if i did something wrong..but i discovered that you have to type all the icons you want to disable at once in the same command line, if you do it separately it would only disable the icon in the latest command line inputted...

[SOLVED] Why does my phone not unlock on 47.1.A.16.20 with Xposed?

[FOR REFERENCE ONLY]
Problem solved!
The confounding variable was NOT Xposed Framework, but conena's Gesture Control app that was set up to use Immersive Mode to hide the navigation bar. And according to this post that I landed on purely by chance, if you don't exempt the Lockscreen Settings app, it causes all these problems.
Note that this problem has nothing to do with the app, it's the Immersive Mode setting to blame, on which any setting change at all will cause these same problems (to be fair, conena's app does preemptively discourage this)
Solution
Use a Substratum overlay to hide the navbar instead; do NOT use GravityBox to do that by setting navbar height to 0, or qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 in build.prop (which doesn't work, BTW). Next, backup your gesture bar data and wipe the data of the app, then restore the bar data – just don't fiddle with that Immersive Mode setting again!
Well, some explanation is in order because it wouldn't make for a great thread title:
I am running the last stock Oreo build on this G8441, which is 47.1.A.12.20, for the primary reason of being able to use rovo89's Xposed Framework because the original XPrivacy module that's vitally important to me does not run on any of the EdXposeds or LSPoseds.
Using systemless Xposed with the latest Magisk version (and older ones too, nothing changes) I find that if I were to set a lockscreen to anything other than "None" and reboot, I will have times where I simply can't see the display when pressing the power button -- but weirdly enough the touchscreen still keeps taking touch input! The only way around is to remove the lockscreen, reboot, then set your locking method and try not to have it restart for any reason.
It's quite obvious that systemless Xposed is causing this problem (Xposed can't be installed normally on this firmware version) because this problem can be reproduced even without any modules active. But I'm at a complete loss as to what's actually causing this lockscreen interference, because I've tried taking system logs with and without Xposed and there's simply nothing at all different except it taking insanely long times for the display to activate upon unlock (but the touch input working just fine for some reason?) and there's a small, dim red LED near the proximity sensor that stays stuck as long as the display is.
Please help me, I'm absolutely out of ideas -- and no, I can't upgrade to Pie, I have to stay on Oreo for the sake of the XPrivacy module.
So it seems like 47.1.A.12.75 is the last problem-free Oreo version for normal Xposed Framework, and I wouldn't mind using that, if it weren't for the fact that there doesn't seem to be any VoLTE-activating SIN file for India for it below 47.1.A.12.270. There's a 2G phaseout in progress with the largest carrier and it's only a matter of time before there'll be no fallback network and I'll have to have VoLTE at any cost.
