I've let it charge for maybe like 3-4 hours, assuming its fully charged, and when I turn it on it's almost there (maybe around 95%). So I'm just wondering when you charge the phone while it's off does the LED light flash green when it's fully charged.
Also can someone tell me what it means when you see the red, blinking light while the phone is off and charging.
Mine glows green constantly when fully charged. When it flashes red while it is off or on, it's from overheating in all instances I've seen and experienced.

Hi all.
I've bought a XDA IIi on eBay, with no cradle (An O2 one from UK, and I live in Spain). I received it with a travel charger, for a SPV E200 model, but with the same connector. The travel charger supplies an output of 4.5-12V and 400 mAh. The XDA did not work, so I supposed I received it with the empty batteries (both main and backup batt), so I put it to charge with the travel charger. After 2-3 hours of charging, it still does not work, does not respond to power button or soft and hard reset attempts. But the XDA shows an orange/red blinking light when charging it. According to the manual, it should be an amber solid led when charging it. The only solid led I've seen is a green one on the charger.
I still don't know if it works. I'm receiving and usb sync/charger cable these days, but I don't know if it will light up the PDA.
I've seen some posts where people talked about much more charging hours, and one post talking about that blinking orange led was caused by a low-power charging, and another where talked about it was a problem with empty backup battery. But after 2-3 hours I think at least the backup battery should be fully charged.
I would like to know if anyone knows what does that blinking led exactly mean, and if I have to charge it 24 hours or more until it responds to power button and does anything else but blinking light. Has it to be a continued charging?.
Thank you.
OK, I've received an usb sync/charge cable and a charger, and after some minutes charging it worked. I've got the next conclusion:
Blinking led means charger not giving power enough. Red led means crytical battery level. (So blinking red means no charging power enough and very low batt). Solid led (no blinking red or amber) means enough charging power. Amber led means no crytical batt level.
I hope this helps anyone who got the same problems I got too.
Hi,
After using my phone all day yesterday it went down to 15% battery so I turned it off and put it on charge using a mains charger. When I switched the plug on the LED went red and I assumed it was charging the phone.
Got up this morning and the led is still red and the phone won't switch on so I am assuming it didn't charge properly, have plugged in the usb charger and am now waiting to see if the light goes green once charged...
Any ideas why the light was red if it wasn't charging, and why it is still red this morning, does it do this when the battery is low and the phone is off?
When the phone is turned off and charging, it will be red. When the battery is enough (not full), it will boot up to a charging state.
All you will see is a battery with a green bar across it.The led will now emit, yellow/red.
Not sure what the problem was but I'm guessing this phone cannot be charged correctly with a mains charger so I will stick to using USB chargers connected to the mains, once I switched to that charger the phone started charging correctly and the led went from red to orange to say it was actually charging
It is not good to leave your phone charging overnight.

take a look at this article. I have been following these steps and even till today my iphone 4 battery operates like the day I first got the phone.
When I purchases the phone I let the battery go dead before the initial charge. Then when I charged it didn't get charged only the red light was on. Then I tried switching on the phone and optimised charging. Then it worked. I'm wondering whether its like that for anyone else?
The red light being on means that the battery is charging. All is normal.
Hello,Today i just pulled my phone from my pocket and it was turned off,but i had like 60% battery in it,so i took it and put it charging for 3 hours, and it didnt charge and while it was in charging there was a red light that blinked non stop,so how can i fix or atleast get my files out of it,thank you so much.
I have a HTC Desire 626s and no matter what percentage it is on where the charging light is there is supposed to be a orange light, recently it has been blinking. All the help forums say it is from a dead phone, but the battery percentage is on 45% and earlier when on the charger it was on 78% and started blinking. Every know and them it charged correctly but then it goes back to blinking. Do I need a new battery? Or is the phone just broken?
