Switch off screen lock disabled - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Hey, I want to disable screen lock, but I can't.
I think it started when I tried the configuration of a VPN.
After that, I was forced to choose a lock and cannot disable it.
I erased VPN again, but still cannot choose the first two options without screen lock.
Any suggestions for solving?
Ah: I'm on CM10.1 20140725 unofficial Jena with 2.6.38.6 Kernel.
Thx.

Alternate lock screens - swipe to unlock twice?

So I'm trying to use alternative lock screens like Picturesque and Next Lock Screen on my Nexus 6 running Chroma ROM.
This doesn't seem to be ROM specific.
I have a PIN, and I use Smart Lock with a pebble and locations for work and home.
On both lock screen apps, when I swipe to unlock I am presented with another lock screen, the stock lock screen, so I have to swipe a second time.
So Next lock screen - I swipe down to unlock, then I'm presented with another lock screen with notifications on it, where I have to swipe up to unlock (stock lock screen).
This is likely user error, but I can't figure it out how to only use 1 lock screen. Thanks for the help!
In android settings > security don't you just need to set the lock screen to none?

I guess without doing that only the 3rd party lock screen will be visible. Tried with go locker. Never had this duplicate luck screen issue. Though I used to have such issues with my galaxy s3 sometimes with a specific lock screen app.

That would work, but then I would lose all security on my phone (no pin unlock as a result of setting no lock screen).
This happened on other ROM's so I don't think it's specific to Chroma, but nobody else seems to be having this issue..?

Maybe you need a custom rom. Some have the option to turn swipe off when a PIN / Pattern is applied. At least on KK they did.
IMHO< The stock lock screen is too good to pass up so maybe not many people have tried. Or maybe some lockscreen apps seek to use root to turn off stock swipe (again they used to try)
I guess I'm going to hope this issue is fixed with 5.1.

[Q] How to disable Samsung Fingerprint scanner on home WiFi w/ secure settings

Hi, i'm having problems disabling my fingerprint scanner whenever i'm connected to my home network..
I created new profile > state > net > wifi connected, then I entered my SSID and blah blah, that part works, but when I enter fingerprint lock as entry task (secure settings > custom rom actions > samsung fingerprint lock > disable) it does not work. Can anyone help me ??
Yes this custom rom action "Samsung Fimgerprint Scanner ON & OFF" doesn't work anymore in MM but working fine in LL and KK. I think at the moment, there's no solution yet.

Shame..hope they'll fix it soon
I've been trying to use this today too. Shame it's not working in 6.01. Is there likely to be a fix for it?
You can use the Admin/Password/Disabled to remove the finger lock but can't enable it again.
What I've done for now is create a shortcut on my home screen which opens the settings menu the presses the dpad to go to the fingerprint menu (quick settings at top) and switch on fingerprint lock. Not a great way to do it but it works.
Then use the Admin thingy in tasker to switch it off when I want.

Unfortunately it's pretty unlikely that there ever will be a fix for it, as the developer stopped working on secure settings in early 2015.
Recently there haven't been any updates, nor rumors that he will continue.
It's a little miracle that most of the options are working on Marshmallow.
I'm sorry I have to disappoint you

You can disable Samsung Fingerprint lock when on home WiFi by using Xposed module "No Lock Home".
Disabling it thru Secure Settings plugin is unlikely to be implemented as mentioned in the previous post.

Yes but when I try and install Xposed for my samsung s6 it gets stuck in bootloop so I have to uninstall it?
Have you got any solution to it?

Is there a way to remove the startup swipe screen while keeping screen lock?

I'm on Marshmallow and use SmartLock, so under the right conditions no unlock is required. However, at switch on there is nevertheless always still a screen to be swiped away (clock and emergency contact). Does anyone know a way of eliminating that stage, so that switch on goes directly to the desktop?
Thanks.

Go to Settings --> Security --> Screen Lock --> Choose your desired Screen lock --> You should then see a screen like the following, select No Thanks and your device will still be locked but you won't have to enter your Screen Lock when starting the phone. I hope this helps!

Many thanks. I do already have that setting set to "No thanks", and indeed, when I switch on I do not have to put in my code. However, there is still always a screen (clock and emergency contact info) that has to be swiped away. It doesn't require a pin or patten, it just has to swiped away. And that's what I'm trying to get rid of.
Why would you want to get rid of a screen which will tell people how to contact you if you lose your phone...?

I'm only talking about when I'm at home and SmartLock is operational. If I lose my phone in my own house, I don't need my contact details on screen! At all other times the regular pin required screen works fine.
I'm just trying to get to a point where, when I'm at home and SmartLock is doing its thing, I can switch on directly, without any additional screens at all.

Yes, that's what we want. We need Google for that. Because the only way to bypass the 'lock screen swipe' is to disable all lock options.

Thanks. In which case it's a shame that enabling/disabling the lock screen isn't a single operation, but requires putting in the pin code. Otherwise it wouldn't be difficult to setup an if/then automation; "If I'm at home, then switch off lock screen; if I'm away from home, then switch on lock screen".
But since that's not possible, I guess I'm scuppered. Unless anyone has any ideas ... A third-party app, perhaps?

There are unlock apps in the playstore, but that kind of apps need root access to bypass the lock screen.
Be carefull.

That sounds like something that Tasker would do.

Unfortunately I don't believe that any automation/macro app would be able to do that, because switching on SmartLock requires a sequence of actions under Settings, including twice entering a four digit code. I've never used Tasker, so I may be wrong, but surely that's not possible even for that app?
I may well be wrong, since I managed only a few simple tasks with the direct-buy Tasker (i.e. non-Play Store) and then lost the key, and the developer had also lost my registration, so I stopped using it. But it should be possible to create a Tasker task along the lines of "at home don't lock" which should remove the need for a code entry - I'll have to defer to our colleagues who regularly use Tasker.
Thank you very much for that. I've had play with "AutomateIt" which I currently use, and which is a simpler version of "Tasker", and in fact it offers the same screen lock/unlock feature that you discribed. I tried it, it works, however when the screen lock is unlocked, I nevertheless still have to wipe away the clock/contact info screen, so I'm afraid I'm back at square one again.

Removing top taskbar access from lockscreen

Hello, I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to remove the top taskbar (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc) while the screen is locked? I wouldn't want anyone who can't unlock my screen to be able to disable my WiFi or Bluetooth etc.
Any insight is helpful.
Thanks!

Cerberus has this function built in. Can also block power menu
Isn't it possible to block in settings?
Quick menu has serious bug:
Lock screen - quick settings - SETTINGS and phone is unlocked. No PIN requested, no fingerprint needed.
This is really anoying to have such security bug.
Oxygen 3.5.4, rooted
That's not the case on 4.0.1.
Also, for the time being I got what I wanted by removing the data option from the quick settings.. So if someone does get hold of the mobile, they still can't disable the data. Ofcourse they can shut it off and eventually wipe it off. Good enough for now I guess.

Disable : android auto "swipe to unlock" screen?

Is there any way to disable this, or bypass it with a tasker script or something?
I use android auto mirroring, and want to see my launcher screen.
Now every time i see android auto lockscreen, and have to swipe every time.
If anyone has any way to solve this..
I believe can be done with tasker but i haven't much experience.
If i made it i will post it.
This was really annoying on my S9+. On my S10+, the screen only pops up once. After dismissing it, it doesn't return. Not sure if it's a One UI thing or a Pie update, but I'm not complaining.
The latest update to Android Auto allows you to completely disable the screen lock. You're welcome!

It could be stranger.....
I Have 2 Samsung s7, on is Original the Otter one is with Root.
On the Original one the Option to Switch off is possible, on the rootet one there is no Switcher for this Option........
Trying to solve.
Am I wrong or the option to lock phone while driving is only set to display/not display a black screen with android auto logo?
Here if I switch it on/off it's only thing that it does.
Even not locking my phone I am still greeted with my own Phone's lock screen.
I think that the solution for this is to simply disable your phone option to lock after some minutes or even make it's screen always on within developer options.
Hello,
i have the problem, that one phone from me, does not disappear the "swipe to unlock" screen.
I have deaktivate the Option "Lock phone while driving", but it does not.
I have two phones:
Moto G4 Plus: without android-lockscreen and rooted
Samsung Galaxy S7: with pin-lockscreen and no root
When i deactivate it by the Samsung, no Problem, screen is not showing.
But at the Moto, i have no chance, i have set pin-code lockscreen and hiding root with magisk, no chance.
Have anyone a idea?
Thanks.
Hello, for all that have the same problem:
The Tasker-Function "System lock" not only does the screen off, this funktion set the Android Auto Lockscreen on, even if no display lock is active in the Androidsettings!
